Classic Eggs Benny and Breakfast Smashers
    Michelle F.

Came here for brunch with my friend. The staff were very attentive and service was great. My friend got recommended one of their espresso martinis that she really enjoyed. I got a Bellini, always good. The restaurant has a great variety on their menu, anyone can find something they'd like. I got classic eggs Benny and it was so delicious! I would recommend. When we arrived it was a bit empty, I had made reservations but not sure if it was really needed. It was a really chill place. This was also the only restaurant near me that had Saturday brunch. Def recommend!

J Law remains an absolutely favorite of mine in the area. Cocktails are fabulous, with novel twists as specials like the Reindeer Old Fashioned keeping the selection interesting. Tried the poutine for the first time, and absolutely loved it! Loaded with gravy the bowl was filled to the brim with crunchy fries and succulent pulled duck. Neither did the lava cake disappoint with its lush gooey center and not being overly sweet. And as always super friendly & fast service!

    Themed holiday drink

I went yesterday, December 20th, holiday season. Their place was very Christmas themed, cute and cozy. It was a bummer I couldn't order from the original drink menu as I really wanted to try one. They had craft drinks for the season that were okay and served in a fun cup but the drinks all seemed to have an extra ingredient that just didn't appeal to the over all drink. Their fingerling potato appetizer was tasty! The main entres were okay, I had the beef barbacoa bowl and over it was flavorful but the meat was dry. My fiancé had a pasta dish with chicken added and had very little flavor. The ambiance was not bad but the music playing just did not fit the crowd, it was a mix of older and younger clients. The staff was friendly and helpful

    Lia's Custom Espresso Martini

Came here to have dinner for my birthday and everything was FANTASTIC! Our waitress/bartender Lia was the absolute best. Very knowledgeable, attentive, quick and professional. She gave us so many good recommendations (especially her custom espresso martini). The craft drinks here are outstanding and they all have a distinct flavor I haven't tried before. I used to bartend, so I know what's out there, and it was refreshing to try interesting flavors that actually tasted amazing. The food was also incredible and came out quickly. Everything was perfect. The ambiance of the restaurant was also fantastic. The music playing was excellent and went along with the feel of the establishment. It was also very clean, and the employees seemed very organized and cheery. It's a shame that I live down in Westchester County, otherwise this would easily become a regular spot for me. I highly recommend that you try it if you're looking for something interesting and new, with the flavors and customer service to back it up!

I was very happy with my experience at j law kitchen. I came here for the happy hour and ordered both drinks and food. For the food I got an eggplant rollatini pizza, dumplings and Brussels sprouts. I loveddd the rollatini pizza and dumplings but the Brussels sprouts could use more flavor. The drinks were amazing, I tried a watermelon one and a passion fruit one. Delicious overall! Great happy hour specials, would love more food options. Service was fast, lots of seating available at the bar and great decorations for the holidays.

Food, service, and staff were all phenomenal but it was far too noisy for us. We had a hard time hearing each other at our table of three and literally had to yell at each other to talk.

    Korean Short Rib Noodle Bowl

Had dinner at J Law with my sister for the first time. We had dinner, and a dessert. J Law has a great vibe. Right when we entered the restaurant we had a great convo with the women at the front about the talking and moving Santa. I ordered the short rib noodle bowl. The soba noodle is a stickier noodle but mine was in a clump. This does not deter me from J Law at all because the short rib was tender and delicious and overall flavor - Yum! I obviously need to be honest about what I experienced. My sister's pizza the drunk in shrimp was so good - the blackened shrimp and the vodka sauce - great combo. To finish off our meal we shared a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream skillet. I am remembering how melty those warm chocolate chip cookie was and the perfect creamy ice cream. Hope to bring my husband to J Law next - a must try!

As a fan of J Lawrence back in the day, I was happy to read about the opening of J Law Kitchen and Craft Bar! I came with some friends for lunch on Sunday. Overall, the food was really nice and did not disappoint. The place is new so there are a few parts of the service that could be ironed out, but everyone was super friendly and nice. Once they figured out who would take care of our table, the friendly waiter was very helpful. We started out with arancini and the hot donuts. Both were good, but the arancini were real standouts! I had "The Cure" sandwich, which was very good. The portion was big and I could only eat about half of the potatoes. When paying the bill, rather than splitting it like we asked, one card was charged for the full amount so that had to be credited. The waiter was friendly and transparent about it so it wasn't an issue, just a small glitch that is an opportunity for improvement. The only thing that was a little bit of a downer was the noise level. It was so loud in the place...there are no soft surfaces to absorb sounds and there were two tables of folks who were enjoying the mimosas with their brunch and they got so loud that it was impossible to hear the people at my own table. Maybe some cushioned chairs or a few well placed acoustic panels would help there but my head was pounding by the time we left and I was thankful for the relative quite once we stepped outside. Lots of potential here with great food and a super friendly staff and hope to put it in my regular rotation soon.

Oysters were very good, but the calamari came out cold and was very bland and overpriced. The aesthetics are solid for the establishment, and the entree was decent. We started with a couple of drinks, which were very strong..maybe a little too strong. My sangria didn't taste like sangria at all, and I honestly couldn't tell what was in it. It didn't have any fruit, and I think vodka was added. We ordered the calamari and what was listed as hummus with pita. When it arrived, we noticed the "hummus" was actually spinach and artichoke dip. I had to ask about it since I have an allergy and wanted to make sure a certain ingredient wasn't included. We decided to keep it and I'm glad we did because it was absolutely delicious!! The calamari was just as good, if not better. Both appetizers were fantastic. For our entrée, we ordered the rigatoni to share. There was a bit of confusion, as our waitress (who was also the bartender) thought we wanted it packed to go, when we actually planned to eat it and then take the rest home. She quickly fixed it in the kitchen, so really no harm done. My only guess is that since we had been sitting with appetizers for quite a while, she may have assumed we were finished eating.. I mean it was a while. The pasta itself was cooked perfectly and the sauce was very good. However, it was topped with microgreens and cilantro which really threw me off! I've never had a pasta dish garnished with cilantro, especially instead of something more traditional like basil...? It felt like a strange choice and was a bit unappetizing for me. Overall, it was a very... odd... first experience. Would I give it another shot? Yes, but I think I'd wait a bit and hope things become more organized. I have to add it is beautiful inside. They have the cutest lights on the table. Appetizers: 10/10 Drinks: 3/10 Entrée: 5/10

From my understanding, it is a Christmas "pop-up" called Miracle. Since we just showed up without reservations, we sat at the bar, which was totally fine with us. The bartenders were very nice and offered up some recommendations. It turned out, my friend had gone to a Miracle pop-up at another bar weeks before, but hadn't realized it. The space is cozy and was very nicely decorated. I ordered an espresso martini off of their regular menu and my friend ordered the Candy Cane Lane. We didn't order food since we had dinner plans after. Our bill was $37.00, plus the $6 we left for a tip. For two cocktails that were good, but not fantastic, that is a little steep in my opinion. If we each had a second cocktail, it would have been close to $100. It's a bar in Newtown, not the casino. Would I go back? I would, just not during the holidays, and maybe a special occasion.
