Ok the five stars is personal for the rest of the public I'd say 4 and here's the reason why. This is a down and dirty grease filled goodness coming out of here on the cheap. Not everyone would appreciate that so hence the star. Prices are incredible more than reasonable for example. I go in and get double egg double meat 3.75.. Say what that's amazing. It's quick, made to order with typically a cute girl there to help Bill out which is a nice way to start off your day. Because the prices are so reasonable they always get a dollar tip from me which by the are specifically for the girls and hats off to them. If you want a quick breakfast before or on your way to work, this is the place to go. This place is the best place in Shelton to get a quick, inexpensive breakfast sandwich. You can smell the bacon and eggs cooking as soon as you walk in the door. The menu has staple breakfast and lunch sandwiches all of which are served on hard rolls. There are fridges of soda and juice along with a few coffee pots for beverages to pair with your sandwich. The staff here is super friendly and treats you like a regular when you walk in. If you come here often, they will more than likely remember what you usually order. Your order comes out super quick and there are a few seats in the back to eat at. I always take my food home because the heat from the sandwich steams the roll a little bit and makes it easier to take a complete bite. Growing up in Shelton, Billy D's was the place to get a sandwich before school. When you first get your license in this town, you stop here before school and grab a doubler with a hashbrown on top. That was when Billy owned the joint. I'm sorry to write such a harsh review but this place sucks now that the new owners took over. The food used to be greasy but FLAVORFUL, perfectly cooked bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns sandwiched between a soft poppyseed roll, yum. Since these new people took over, the food tastes like pure grease, raw grease. The sandwiches are not the same, if you moved here recently you don't understand the quality of product this place once produced. The doubler with a hashbrown tastes horrible, like raw grease. The guy on the grill murders the egg, smashing it into the oil, poor eggs. Then, he cuts off all the egg on the side to leave you with an overcooked, greasy, sad egg. The hashbrown is so overcooked you can't even taste potato. Last time I went in I ordered a BLT (try something new, I thought) because I've given them too much money for crappy doublers and I can't justify it again. I asked for a BLT on toasted white bread with mayo. I swear they served me soggy bread that tastes like they dipped it in cold grease and microwaved it, the bacon was COLD so the grease congealed and was inedible, I just threw it out, they use iceberg lettuce (2021 and you can't use adult lettuce guys, have you heard of romaine). Overall the quality is gone, $9 for a bad doubler and a chocolate milk or $6 for a sad BLT? This places quality left with Billy. read more

It is a small place so better for getting your food to go, but there are a few tables if you want to sit down.
