My wife and I tried it last weekend. In addition to a lot of martinis, they had an impressive collection of on-tap beers. I tried one the server recommended (Third Shift) and it was an excellent choice. But other than that, I couldn't particularly recommend the place. We got a bunch of appetizers (small plates). None of them were particularly creative, there was one that was very good (the fried zucchini slices), but the rest were a big, dull OK. Nothing was bad, it just wasn't particularly good. Great food and martinis. TERRIBLE service. My husband and I made a reservation more than 24 hours in advance, when we got there they had no clue. When we were waiting (for more than 10 minutes) at the bar for someone to even acknowledge us, the bartender served people that were standing behind us first (even though he knew we had been waiting). There was a wedding going on on one side of the restaurant and they seemed completely unprepared to have a wedding going on while having the rest of the restaurant still open to the public. This place has absolutely amazing martinis, a gorgeous look to the place, and the food is really delicious. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is every time I go there on a Thursday or Friday night a majority of all the tables are always reserved which doesn't leave for a lot to choose, and every time I try to call to place a food order to pick up, I have to call 20 times before anyone answers if at all :(. Outside seating was nice, but the small plates are really small and expensive! My friends ordered the scallops, one person received 2.5 small scallops and the other one 3 scallops for $14! Ouch! Not even some garnish salad or bread to go with it. I had the Brie and it was served with a few pieces of garlic crostini and few pieces of French baguette. This was our first time and it was for our daughters 30th birthday and that's where she wanted it to be. First my wife ordered a pineapple upside down martini and she loved it and had another. We then ordered food my wife asked for the 8 shrimp in garlic butter sauce I asked for the scallops in a butter herb sauce and I ordered the potato skins for us to split. Well the food comes and they lay it down and immediately I notice the shrimp are in a bright yellow sauce with three slices of lemon across them and the scallops are 3 nickle size and 2 quarter size in the same bright yellow sauce with cut up scallions. Potato skins don't look to bad so I take a bite of a shrimp and it's a margarine type sauce not butter. I try a scallop which was blackened on the top and the same result the margarine taste and the scallop is over cooked and very chewy. I tried a bite of the potato skin and it was ok. In our opinion the food is all frozen and prepared in subpar sauces. If you go by the wording in the menu you'd think you were dining at a higher end restaurant but I'm sorry it's worse than Applebee's.! Waiter was good and took the scallops off the bill but I think they should put a menu out that goes with the food you're getting. I don't like leaving bad reviews but this one is warranted. read more

I made online reservations, the website said to "verify the reservation within 24 hours". I called to verify the next day and was told that "reservations are not accepted for Saturday, and that it was first come first serve". I got there an hour early to ensure a spot before my party arrived. When I got there almost the whole bar was "reserved". I asked the hostess (who was very nice), and explained to her what happened, and she informed me that I was given "wrong information" on the phone and that they absolutely DO take reservations on Saturday. I am so upset, I was really looking forward to going here for my Birthday. We not only had to find another place at the last minute, but then had to scramble to let the rest of the party know that we were meeting at a different location. Whoever told me they didn't take reservations for Saturday should be reprimanded, or better trained. I just came up from Florida, this used to be one of my favorite spots....... How a "Martini Bar" thinks it can claim such a title with only three gins in its arsenal is beyond me.

We went here with a Groupon that said cannot be used for alcohol. We ordered a few drinks and food. We went to use go upon and they said hey had to make drinks full price since it was happy hour. The groupon said not good for alcohol so we said ok separate checks if need to. The owner then came out and was beyond RUDE! She accused us of working the system and trying o short the waitress of a tip. We ave no idea where the tip shorting came in. She accused us of doing anything to save $3. We don't know where $3 came from. We told her we understood but the groupon said no alcohol. She then went on a rant about how she pent $6000000 to open business and just trying to make a living. She also said groupon screwed up wording so not her problem. I personally go there regularly but never will again after my atrocious experience with the owner. read more

Bad Experience at this bar. Don't go there unless you are a regular. When we arrived at 4:15PM we saw that virtually every table had a "Reserved" sign. If it weren't for a couple of open seats at the bar we would have left. Many of the tables that were reserved had times of 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM on them. Why would you put signs on these tables that were reserved for 4 or 5 hours later? Makes no sense to lock tables down that early. Why wouldn't you turn those tables at least 2 times before the reservation time? While we sat at the bar, the owner, Marie Capelli, stopped by and asked me if she knew me. When I said "No", she just walked away. If you are the owner and someone new comes into your establishment, why wouldn't you introduce yourself as the owner and welcome new patrons? The wait staff was poor at best. We had to ask for drinks and ask for an order of appetizers. Later in the evening as Marie was walking around we asked for a word with her. We told her how unwelcome we felt. She told us that we need to make a reservation and laid a card down in front of us. We told her that we wanted to walk into the restaurant without a reservation and feel welcome without a reservation. She pulled the card off the table and told us that she is doing the best she can. She has more business than she can handle and really can't accomodate us.without a reservation. I told her that I'm glad she is doing so well inspite of her poor service. I won't go back to this establishment. If I am a restaurant/bar owner I would be flexible and accommodate everyone. read more

If I could, I would give this 4.5 stars. My experience was great! The drinks, food, service, ambiance, atmosphere were a big hit. I met 2 friends here on a Friday night after work. I arrived at approximately 5:25p.m. to a semi-packed room. There is also a nice heated patio outside, on either side of the entry way. The outdoor space was pretty full for a chilly night. The martini list is huge! I opted for a PomTini was poured tableside with a sidecar in addition to the main drink (nice touch!). My dining companions ordered the White Grapetini and the Chocolate Martini and both thoroughly enjoyed their selections. We also opted for appetizers. We ordered the sampler platter which included chicken tenders, potato skins, egg rolls and mozzarella sticks, in addition to a variety of sauces and dips. We also had the seafood flatbread, which was divine!! The flatbread arrive hot, with a perfectly thin, flaky crust, topped with a garlicky sauce, cheese, shrimp and crab. The portion size was more sufficient to share, especially with the sampler planner. Within 30 minutes, the place was filled to capacity, but our servers never ever forgot about us. They continually checked on us, cleared empty glasses/dishes, filled water glasses etc. There was great music playing in the background. This was a GREAT experience. Not a martini person but I like this place. My friend is a smoker and he likes the heated outdoor bar. It is much nicer than the old location. I was there and was impressed with the staff and decor. Last time I was at Billy's at the old location in the hotel I punched some young punk who was rude to my wife. So we said we wouldn't go back. We tend to avoid douchy 21 yr old hangouts now that I'm 42 (my wife hasn't aged at all since then). So, hoping the crowd didn't follow "Billy" to the new location. But I was there for happy hour and it was adults only, so that's good. read more

Food is less than average. My dip came out luke warm, my chicken was dry. You have 10 different servers bringing you things. This place needs consistency! All 10 servers were nice, but i like having one server. May come back. $2 blue moons are a great deal tho! read more

Wonderful place to sit and chill by yourself, enjoy a nice evening with friends or that someone special on date night or just go crazy with the many different bands on Thursdays and some Fridays and Saturdays. Loved this place! The martinis were exceptional. Shaken and poured right at the table. Although The list is long, I'd love to see them add even more of them to the menu. I had the seafood flatbread pizza to eat and it got rave reviews from the whole table. The Acapella salad looked fresh and wonderful as well. Service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and attentive but didn't hover. As a bonus, I had emailed the restaurant because I tried to view the dinner menu on line and could open the menu link. I didn't really expect much in the way of a response but to my surprise they sent me a copy and told me they were aware of the issue and were working on it. That was good service in my book. Monday night special is $6 burgers and 1/2 price bottle of wine. We shared the blue burger medium and it was excellent! The house made chips are also quite tasty. We shared a bottle of Malbec. $23 later it was a nice Monday night out. We will return. We like the new location much better then the old in the hotel across the street. read more

Opening night. Bar was attractive. Staff waiting tables was attentive we didn't have a reservation and had been following this 'brewery' for weeks...didn't know we needed one. Asked to sit at one of the many empty tables and an attentive waitress she would ask if we could sit in her section. No. Wait 15 minutes for a beer. Got our beers 2 were the wrong beers..knowingly by the bar tender. The peach beer we were given not order tasted like a Mr. Brew home brew beer. And when we asked to have the beer we actually order she gave a ton of attitude and said no. Spoke with the owner after and he said it would be handled. Great guy and I'm sure it will be. Such a shame that some people don't know how to have hospitality. I severed for years and cannot understand theses types of people. Totally awful. It seemed like a lively place with good ambiance but it was quite loud from all the patrons talking. I sat down and was eventually greeted by a server who gave me a menu and told me that any of the servers would take my order. "We work as a team." Well, I guess none of the team was much interested in a party of one. Eventually, I got an order of potato skins (quite dry and not very tasty) and ordered a cheeseburger to be prepared medium. A while later, the said burger arrived way past well-done and extremely dry and not very flavorful except for lots of salt. The bacon was like a rock and a little cheese was visible. Oh yeah, did i mention the bun was dry and stale. I proceeded to eat it and the TEAM never came around to check on me. I gave up 1/2 way thru the burger. I then told them that if they had asked and cared how my food was that I would have told them it was the worst food in Lake County. Then I was asked if I wanted a box to take the other half home. Are you serious?? Terrible service and even worse food. Of note, those drinking did seem happy. I won't be returning here. read more

Terrible service and food. We waited 25 minutes on a Saturday afternoon for our food. I ordered a burger medium and it came well done. I had to ask for lettuce and tomato. My husbands flatbread was burnt and sent back. The homemade potato chips were stale (it was raining and humid). I was done eating by time his food came. There were 2 groups of drunk women screaming over the blaring music. Every time the door opened to the outside eating area, wafts of obnoxious cigarette smoke poured in. I complained to the manager about the food and she just said she hoped we would come back. To add insult to injury, Our bill had the burnt flatbread on it. McDonalds would have been a better choice at 1/3 the price. read more

Went there this past weekend with my husband and another couple. My first martini was the Carmel Apple...not great. Instead of sending it back, I choked it down. Martini #2, the s'morestini....flipping amazing! The best part was the graham cracker crust rim. Martini #3, even BETTER, the snickersini. Omfg! Atmosphere and Decour is very nice. However I feel their drinks are way overpriced. Food is exceptionally average, and overpriced just like their cocktails. I came here on Saturday night 10/1/16 with my girlfriend. I opened a tab with my debit card, they took the card and swiped it and gave it back to me, My tab was 52 dollars which I paid plus tip. When I got home, I noticed an additional 103 dollars was processed on mY card. now they're telling me it'll take 48 hours to possibly get my money back. How this mistake was made is beyond me. This is an exceptional little restaurant/ bar, about 6 months ago it moved from the Comfort Inn, which is was really good there, to across the street behind Dibella's Sub shop. It's a very contemporary design with an awesome patio, TV's everywhere, along with a nice fireplace and seating area. I have been there a few times already and I have not been disappointed yet. The prices are great with dishes ranging from $7-$15 on average, the servors are friendly and attentive to your needs. I have not been there yet when it was crazy busy, but I have been there when it was moderately busy and I still received the same great food and service. This place is a nice addition to the area serving as a nice classy place with good food, it compliments the other bars like the Happy Moose and the Hooley House very well. Its turning the area into a nice downtown Mentor that is a hope skip and jump from downtown Willoughby. Try it for yourself, the Bruschetta and Quesadilla are really good starters to begin with. read more

I went to Billy's Martini Bar last week for the first time. It only one hour after they opened and they still had a nice crowd. I sat at the inside bar and the bartender Tom made a few dinner suggestion. I started with the "Skewer Specialties" which is shrimp, beef, chicken and some vegetables on a skewer. It was excellent, I really loved the teriyaki sauce. For my main course I had "Mama's Purses" which is a stuffed pasta in a great cream sauce. I like the food so much that I am going back with my wife this weekend. read more
