This is a very cozy spot. The service is excellent. We had a 6:30 reservation on a Friday night and were seated right away. Our server Rene' was very knowledgeable. We started with the clam chowder and it was delicious! The clams were tender and the broth was delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was absolutely delicious! I had the Asian salad with salmon and my husband had the fish and chips. The fish was so crunchy and light. I wish I had order his fish. But my salmon was cooked to perfection and the greens were fresh. The salad dressing was a vinaigrette and my only concern was that it needed more flavor. But the textures of the currants and cashews were really very good. We had the sticky toffee pudding cake with ice cream for dessert to go. It was also really yummy and light. Went there for my wife's birthday. Nothing surprising, very common food. Service is not bad. Ordered 12 oz steak, but served steak sandwich, after reminded wrong , then served sliced beef with pepper and put on French fries underneath, seems they took the beef from sandwich then put back to plate . read more

Was headed to a different place, but this place was close and looked interesting so we stopped in here instead. Was small inside, plenty of open tables and we were told to pick a place to sit. We got there just in time as it filled up pretty quickly with a lunch rush after we arrived Reviewed the menu and decided on the bourbon street salad, the meatball appetizer and a pizza with sausage and pepperoni Asked for it all at the same time and it came out together. Salad was interesting, mostly lettuce with rice over the top and a sweet dressing. Was good, but a little weird. Rice gave it a chewy component and I didn't think it worked. Meatballs were very good. Nice red sauce and just dense enough without being hard. Dollop of cheese on top and some peppers along side. Was the best part of the meal for sure. This is one of my parents favorite restaurants, so on our recent visit, we had to try it. It's a small space and they're short staffed right now, so I recommend trying to make a reservation ahead of time. If you want to eat outside, I'd recommend making it several days in advance. We got the Hot Cajun Lobster Dip, Piadina Funghi, Prosciutto Funghi Apizza, and the Mish Mosh Burger with Truffle Rosemary Parmesan Fries. Everything was delicious. My favorite thing was the Piadina Funghi. It was simple, but the flavors were fantastic. The lobster dip had huge chunks of lobster. I was very impressed because they actually cook their burgers to the level you ask for. We like medium rare burgers, but they always come overcooked, so we've started ordering them rare (and then it comes medium rare or medium). This one actually came rare. It was less cooked than I prefer, but I can't fault them since that's what we ordered. This is not the kind of restaurant I would expect to find in Solon. It's definitely the best one we've been to in the area. read more

Although I haven't been to every restaurant in Solon, Ohio--I'm confident that Mish Mosh is one of--if not then the--best restaurant in the city. The food is delicious, the service is polite. My wife and I we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. Never knew about this restaurant in Solon before on the edge of Orange. The size is actually hard to describe--it's not small but it felt cramped due to its low ceilings and dim lighting. It's not exactly cramped because there is plenty of seating area but everything was situated in the way of itself... I walked in and no one greeted me for at least 5 minutes. There was a bartender but apparently, she does not greet guests upon entrance. There wasn't a podium or stand or anything for people who wanted to be seated not at the bar. I stood looking around being stared at by people at the bar until I waved down a server who was determined not to see me...not sure if it's always like this. There was no one else in the restaurant besides a few at the bar so it's not as if they were busy. The menu selection seemed eclectic but the portions were so laughably small. Higher prices for small (and I mean SMALL) dishes. Taste was fine but lacked distinction. I did like the art and decor of the place. Pacing of the dishes and when the server stopped by to check on us was off. It was fine to check out but probably won't come back here. read more

I hesitate to review this place because I like it so much that I don't want to let this hidden gem out of the bag. I have been here at least 5 times and have always loved the food. Burgers, chicken Parmesan, fish tacos, salad, you name it, it is scratch made and delicious. The portions are pretty large -not skimpy. I took half of my chicken parm home. This is Not a dive bar with good food (as another reviewer said) but an elevated menu in a restaurant with a big welcoming bar and great cocktails. One of the few east side restaurants worth the price because let's face it, it has become very expensive to eat out so at least we should get what we are paying for. Stopped by for a quick lunch with a friend and sat on their dog friendly patio. Though understaffed, the server was attentive and very friendly! We started with the hot lobster dip and the chicken wings were excellent. Honestly, I wish we just stuck with those and ordered more. The wings were sauced perfectly and cooked very well. There were also huge chunks of lobster in the dip. The chicken wrap and burger were underwhelming, the burger was not cooked med-rare and the wrap was something I could make at home. This family owned eatery is a new favorite. I cannot say enough good things about their delicious burgers but truly the service was even more special. We were greeted by a woman who turned out to be the bartender and daughter in law of the owners. She made sure we were comfortable, got us a table as quickly as possible, returned to make sure we were happy campers, all the while making sure everyone in the place was happy with the drinks she prepared. Wife will not eat out because of the virus, so carry out it is. Saw the Marti Gras menue on Facebook from a few days ago. Messenged the restaurant "still have the Marti Gras menu?" Answered back "yes." Picked up a good jambalaya and my partner noticed the receipt $31. The menu on line showed $29! The jambalaya was good, but not $29 awesome, much less $31! Burntwood has a Mari Gras menu with $18 jambalaya. I will try theirs next. I realize great dinner fair will be expensive, but tonight's meal was not exceptional and way overpriced. read more

We came here several times before Covid-19 and decided to re visit to escape the house and kids. They had plenty of outdoor seating. Spaced appropriately. Follow the directions of driving up, waiting in car, calling the number to see if seating available and then they'll advise to come in. They also offer indoor seating with plexiglass separators. On to the meals. The wife chose eggplant parmigiana. I chose the Mish Mosh Burger. Both good. They had some local beer draft selections, and the wife chose a mixed drink. Service was great. This restaurant is great: it's small and intimate, great for a date night and you can actually have a conversation without having to shout across the table. We ate the Veiner schnitzel--it was a generous portion and very delicious. The salad was fresh and had great balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The side dishes were well cooked and seasoned too. Service was 5 stars, family owned & operated (chef's wife was our primary server). Very friendly, maybe not the most buttoned up service experience (a few small confusion points with salad orders), highly attentive. Food was a solid 4 - decent prices, comfort food type options, so maybe not so healthy but delicious. I tried the soup of the day (super creamy tomato) and a mushroom piadina which was just OK. This place might be my new regular spot. Sat on the patio and had the most chill lunch ever. Our server knew a lot about the menu and the prep of the products which helped cause that means she could make recommendations we trusted. It's not a fancy place, so if that's what you're looking for go somewhere else. It's like you're relaxing at a friends place with delicious food and really cold beers. The beer selection was impressive for a little place too! Food: Our table tried some different stuff. I would recommend ALL OF IT, cause we shared. Pizza-crust was insanely good. Salad-big portion and one of the best dressings ever(rice wine vinaigrette). Burgers-hand packed and fresh toppings, loved the bun! Fried dough balls-served warm with sauces- just delish! This was a good find. Behind American Tavern. Not crowded but good crowd at the bar. Small but has a nice patio. The menu is also kinda small but it has a decent amount of variety. 3 of us went. Got the Pumpking on tap. And ordered the cavatelli with meatballs and sausage. My family got the lobster mac n cheese. And the paida fungi which was the special. It was like a mushroom flatbread. All good. Everyone liked their dinner. And we were full. Portions decent. Met the owner. She and her family relocated from Connecticut and bought this restaurant cuz that's what they do. She told me. LOL! She is originally from CLE. I like to know about the personal stuff. Makes me want to eat there more. Definitely go back. This one is worth a try. read more

This place is phenomenal!! What an amazing little place! We came here once a few weekends ago and it was so good, I had to come back again just to make sure it wasn't a one time thing. I can assure everyone that the food and the staff are genuinely incredible. The first time we came I had to ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich. It's one of my favorite dishes and when I see it on a menu, there is zero question on what I'm ordering. My dining partner ordered the NY Strip special. But dishes were artfully prepared and delicious. The staff was attentive and sweet, offering recommendations and doing what they could to elevate our dining experience. This second round I ordered the Osso Bucco special and it was, in a word, heavenly. Holy cow, the sides it came with perfectly balanced the decadent osso bucco, it was so good. The brussel sprouts were other worldly. My dining partner had the swordfish and scallop special and it was equally tasty. Long story short, I cannot wait to come again. A few coworkers and I decided to stop at Bar 50/20 to enjoy some after work drinks. We picked this location because it was close to work and had a patio that was dog friendly. I was very pleased with the attentiveness of our waitress. The seating outside was comfortable and plentiful. I felt that drink prices were a little expensive for the location but understood that they do have a happy hour. In addition to being attentive to our needs, they brought out a fancy copper water bowl for the dog in our group and even offered us organic dog treats. We were visiting some relatives in the area and they suggested we try this place on the way out of town. SO. GLAD. I had the best chicken of my life and my wife had the best flatbread of hers. It's an eclectic place: sports on the TVs and Basquiat-inspired art on the walls and a complex, interesting menu that would be right at home in NY, LA, or Europe.
