Always delicious pizza. It is usually pretty loud in there but the servers are so nice and attentive. Excited to see what the renovations bring

Perfect pizza! its brick oven fire, charred on a thin crust with premium fresh toppings. Every pizza is different & delicious that's why I love this place. The special of the week was a Fried Bologna Pizza this time, It was amazing! Always hot & the service is immaculate, the staff/bartenders are friendly & always fun to talk to. It has a hometown bar feel & is welcoming. They have different specials on certain nights of the week just check their website. The stuffed mushrooms are great & they have a large draft beer selection & full bar. The sister restaurants are also good Crowleys, Nora's, Fungry,& Mickeys.

The Pizza is amazing! The music is great! They had a ton of screens to watch all the football. I walked in around 8:30pm with my husband and 2 little boys. We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere. The service was excellent, we were spoiled by both Drew and Sal, I say spoiled because they both constantly checked on us and refilled our drinks. Our pizza came out quickly and was fresh and hot! My picky boys each ate two whole slices. It was over all a wonderful Sunday night dinner experience. My only request is that they open a location in Lima OH, that way we won't have to make the 3 hour drive to eat here again. It's worth it!

Great service for our big group of 6 kids/3 adults on a football Sunday afternoon. Pizzas are delicious (and so are the Reuben bites!) Recommended place to watch a game. Seating areas/windows could all use a deep clean. Only thing keeping it from a 5 rating. Easy to overlook those details with the delicious menu and friendly service.

Wow. Heard of the place before but our first time there. Started with the pepperoni chips as an appetizer- tremendous. Had the coney dog pizza there and that was fantastic. Got the cheese pizza as take out. Had a slice once I got home, about a 40 minute drive and still rates as the best cheese pizza I've ever had. The atmosphere was good, the service was great. Good date night with my bride. Not sure what took me so long to eat there but will be back!

Great place to have a few drinks and good food in downtown Willoughby. Friendly and quick service. Lots of seating options. Been here a few times. We always enjoy the pizza and beer selections. Tried the Rueben bites as an appetizer and they were spectacular! Pizza great as always. Enjoyed the freshness and flavor the chicken wrap.

Day 2 of Pizza Week so I grabbed lunch at the Wild Goose in Willoughby. It has been a while since I have been to the Goose and I have to say I have to get back soon. The Goose is right on Erie Street in the middle of downtown Willoughby, just a nice divey bar with a small kitchen and a high tech stone oven right next to the bar. The menu features pizzas, wings and some other variety of bar food. Seating options include tables, hightops and the bar, plus you can sit in the windows or in the darker main area. I of course got the Pizza Week $8 special which is their version of a Margherita Pizza. Due to the extremely hot oven the pizza came out within a couple of minutes. The pizza is beautiful to look at and even better to eat. The crust is thin and crisp and is a great canvas for the other ingredients. The tomato sauce is sweet with big chunks of tomato, topped with fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic. Overall great flavor, sweet with a bit of acid punch. This pizza is more about great quality ingredients rather then having huge portions. Since I was there at lunch time Wild Goose was pretty quiet, but it seems like it would be a great place to grab a drink and get some good food. They have figured out how to get the best out of the pizza oven and they use great ingredients. Definately worth a visit.

It's a sports bar doing sports bar things. So loud with lots of tvs. The browns won today so everyone was in a very good mood. We tried the mozzarella sticks and the cheese said pizza. Both were good. Very nice thin oven crust. The servers continuously checked on you, very nice but very annoying after awhile. Maybe because it had been emptying out when the game was over. I'd come back but maybe on a weekday.

The pizza is to die for. Their taco pizza is out of this world. They cook their pizza in a stone oven which makes it nice and crispy

IMPRESSIVE PLACE…read more Wow, I'm flabbergasted. I had an apartment in Willoughby in the 90s and it wasn't a bar back then. I'll tell you they're open early. I had a wonderful Smashburger for 14 with blue cheese. They open at 11 AM. It's here in downtown Willoughby the historic section. It's attached to an old train car that Marilyn and JFK rode in. Wow. It's very nice to walk in off the dining room which was the old round house for the train. This is an impressive place. I can't believe I've never been, the bartender and owner are fantastic. Owner is a big hockey fan I was talking to him about Derek Sanderson. He's from Boston. Five stars all the way I'll come here every time passing through. Just take the lost nation Road exit & your way back there.

I have to rethink that because of this very eatery. The food was good. Not blow me out of the water amazing but certainly tummy filling fare. I had the prime rib and added mushrooms, peppers and onions with a side of au jus. The meat was a bit on the drier side and a little tough. But...onion rings on the side...yes please for these sweet, savory, crispy little rings of greatness. The lettuce wedge salad and crisp, light and satisfying...it just lacked a balsamic glaze to add the need touch of sweetness. And a Spicy Cucumber Martini with a Tajin rim...all you need is one, but you'll want more! Sweet with the sour Tajin jolt was in perfect balance. It is made with jalepeno tequila which I got notes of, but it could have been a bit spicier. So, with the issues, why not a 4 star review, you may ask... It was the service. Hands down the greatest service I have ever had. Our server was at our table to greet us with menus in literal seconds. She was bright, bubbly, and sweet as apple pie. She gave suggestions, hyped the food and drinks. She was efficient and we never lacked for anything. I felt like she was just serving us even though she had a seated area, a bar area, and an outdoor seating space to take care of that was overflowing with people for the holiday weekend with a band! And the set-up of the restaurant itself was just cool, chill and playful. The barn like feel was so inviting and the outdoor option to sit could make it feel like a new place everytime you come! That's why it's a 5 star. Definitely on my visit again and soon list.

"Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

The prices were astronomical so my daughter and I just ordered meatballs and potato wedges. I really wanted fish but there was only ONE fish dish on the menu and I didn't like how it was going to be prepared. There's a big disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that says "no substitutions or modifications". Geez, for a $40 fish plate you couldn't have modified it for me?? The meatballs were good, but came out luke warm. The wedges were good. The atmosphere was nice. For 3 meatballs, 5 potato wedges, and a 15% tip (she lost 5% due to not asking us for drinks) our bill came to $45. I *wish* I was joking. We won't be back. I honestly feel like I just got ripped off.
