Im still a huge fan of Billy's Egg Farm and highly recommend them for their farm fresh eggs! Their quality is amazing - eggs just tastes better! If you're looking for that rich deep orange yolk, you'll likely find it here. I find that their eggs do not always have that deep orange yolk, but it often does! I finally tried their Ugleez ($12.50/30 eggs) and besides being "ugly" and much lighter in color on the outside, they were delicious and had the perfect orange yolk! I came to this drive-through farm instead of Maust Farms across the street, and there are definitely pros and cons to both. This location is convenient and accessible because it's a drive-through, although traffic can get backed up. The eggs are also more expensive than the ones across the street, and in reality, I really couldn't tell which ones were better. I know some people are sticklers about eggs, but I honestly couldn't see much of a difference between the blue eggs I got from Maust Farms and the brown eggs from here. My biggest issue with this place was the amount of fecal matter on the eggs. That wasn't exactly appetizing, especially compared with the eggs across the street, which were much cleaner. I know farm-fresh eggs aren't always going to look perfectly clean, but for what I paid, I expected them to be cleaner. I originally thought you weren't really supposed to wash farm-fresh eggs with water, but when there's visible fecal matter on the shells, obviously you want to clean them before using them. I later learned that you can buy an enzymatic egg wash specifically made for cleaning fresh eggs and that the water should be warmer rather than cold when washing. Using cold water can cause the contents of the egg to contract and potentially draw contaminants through the porous shell. So if you're coming to this location, I would recommend knowing how to properly clean and store farm-fresh eggs, especially if yours are as dirty as some of mine were. The people here were very nice, and the drive-through is definitely convenient. However, between the higher price and how dirty the eggs were, I'll most likely go across the street next time. read more

Billy's Egg Farm is located in Chino Hills and is open 5 days a week (Tuesday thru Saturday from 8am - 5pm). The chickens are fed a vegetarian diet with no hormones and no steroids and have plenty of space to roam. I arrived on a Saturday morning 5 minutes to opening and there was a line of 10 cars at the entrance. Ordering is done via drive thru style and they were handling 3 vehicles at a time. Eggs are sold as large, ex-large, or jumbo variety. I went with extra large and got 30 eggs for $16. There is a fee for credit card usage. The egg yolk is dark orange and overall the eggs taste great. Even though these were extra large I felt they were the same size as the large ones I get from Trader Joe's. And the Trader Joe's ones work out to be $17.50 for 30 eggs and they are organic and pasture raised. Overall, I do think the Trader Joe's eggs maybe a better deal and both are similar in taste. read more

Probably the best eggs I've ever had. Prices are just a little crazy. I end up going back anyways, but the competitor across the street has them beat on prices. I can't say the competitor has the same quality eggs, but if I'm going to be honest I pay for the cheaper eggs across the street more often. It's a value game, and if both are better than grocery store eggs the next deciding factor for me is price. But when I have friends or family visit, I will come here just to impress. I'm always in search of farm fresh anything - especially eggs - and Billy's is a good option with great prices. They're a sweet little family farm, they have all the typical egg sizes, their chickens are very well cared for, and their yolks have a boost of Omega 3s! And bonus - it's a drive-through so you don't even have to get out of your car.  I read about how popular Billy's Farm is so I made sure to arrive before opening to start lining up. I got there around 740am-ish on a Thursday and was first in line - but by the time they opened at 8am, the line was pretty long and people were honking and causing chaos on the road and in the line up - so yeah I recommend getting there early on a mid-weekday lol. The process was fast and easy. Just drive to the window, give your order, pay and they hand you the eggs and off you go lol! For my first visit I grabbed 60 large eggs that come in flats of 30 each - one for me and one for my SIL.  The eggs were very clean and all in excellent condition - and the crates traveled well. The farm was extremely clean. They keep their chickens in open air pens with plenty of fresh air and sunshine while still being protected from outside predators.  Their eggs are tasty and a great value. I compared them to the free range organic eggs that I get from the grocery store (Happy Egg Co) - see my pics for the differences. Billy's large eggs are about the same size and cook up pretty similar - but their prices are MUCH better and they're still excellent quality. My chickens stopped producing eggs so I had to find an egg farm to buy from. I don't do store bought eggs for cooking at home so Finding Billy's egg farm was a lifesaver! It's a bit out of the way for me but I also buy my groceries in bulk every month and eggs are not an exception, so this drive is doable. The drive thru is a huge convenience. My husband has been getting Billy's Egg farm for quite a while now. Definitely the best and freshest eggs we can get in the area. Their yolks are bright orange and they are the creamiest and best yolks you can have. The prices have steadily gone up (blame bird flu/egg shortage) so be wary of that. However, sometimes the taste does justify the cost. Would recommend their eggs for dishes that require raw eggs like sukiyaki dipping sauce. read more

Service here is so friendly and their eggs are the best! Their eggs are super high quality that it's impossible for me to ever go back to regular grocery store eggs. The drive thru line gets a little busy sometimes especially on Saturdays, but the line moves pretty quickly. I absolutely LOVE Billy's Egg Farm. They have such a cute location and you can see the gals (chickens) walking around as you're in like in the drive through. The drive through makes it super easy and convenient to buy eggs. Everyone who works there is soooo kind and helpful. We typically get an order of uglies, cuties, jumbo, and chex. The uglies are eggs that come out not cute but they still taste amazing. The cuties are smaller but they are more nutritious because they come from younger hens. We love the jumbo, especially for cooking. We use the chex (eggs that are cracked) for day of baking. The eggs are always rich orange in color and taste amazing. I was in the area and we haven't had eggs in a week so this was the perfect opportunity to come and get some eggs. I had seen people standing in line at Costco for two hours and that was a turnoff. At Billy's you're sitting in your car. Got here at 11:45am ish and the car line was approximately 8 cars in front of us. It took no more than 20 minutes or so to get the eggs and be on our way. We got 3x20 x-tra large eggs for $42. I brought exact change to pay but I noticed the car ahead pay with a card. You place and pay at the window and then they pass you the eggs. I finally decided to stop by Billy's after years of passing by it. I love the convenience of it being a drive thru store. Customer service was good considering it was a very quick exchange. We ordered the 20 flat of extra large eggs. Quick tip : The flats do not come with a cover. I would suggest bringing a box or reusable bag to hold the eggs so they don't fall out while you drive. When prices go up on eggs at big chain grocers for whatever reason, they appear to be stable at family farms like this. At least that's what I noticed the other day. So if Wally Koala Supermarket decides to sell their name brand dozen for let's say $6, you get not so fresh eggs and get overcharged (in French, they call it "swindled"). But if you go to Billy's, you get 20 eggs for $8. They're so fresh, Mother Hen is literally watching you from across the yard with tears in her eyes while you exchange paper for her ova. read more

Friendly staff, great prices and amazing quality eggs! My husband and I love and prefer getting our eggs from Billy's Egg Farm. The line does get really long, especially with the current shortage. We have also come by a couple times a little late and they have sold out, so I recommend coming EARLY. We love getting in the car and taking our husky with us too and the staff love him and are so friendly. We have also had some chats with one of the ladies who tells us all about their eggs and what they feed the chickens and how it's healthy for us as well. The last time we were here we got a dozen eggs for $5 something. They were XL and you can see the quality of the egg when you crack them open.
