Classic diner atmosphere, with good service and good food at good prices, which isn't typical anymore. The biscuits and gravy are good. I can't swear that the sausage gravy is made fresh, but it's tasty, unlike places where it comes out of a can and starts to congeal as soon as it begins to cool. The biscuits are up to the task, flaky and delicious. The coffee is good and the server kept our mugs fresh and hot the whole time we were there. And they're open at 6:30, so there's time to enjoy breakfast and still get to work on time. Great spot. read more

Decided to go here due to AJ's being closed on Sunday. Service was prompt, a lot to choose from. Always check the daily special more bang for the buck. Got a veggies omelet hash browns and English muffin. Omelet was good not the best I have had but it worked. I'm not normally a hashbrowns type of guy, but these actually are pretty, decent. If you're looking for an old school cafe style breakfast spot, Billy's Miracle Hill Cafe is for you. Billy's has all of the typical breakfast menu items you're accustomed to. I opted for the chicken fried steak potato platter. A bed of cubed extra crispy browns with pieces of chicken fried steak, onions, mushrooms, and cheese. Gravy comes on the side (wish it were scratch made but it's right from a bland gravy packet). Overall average flavors and an average meal. All of the silverware provided had dried-on gunk on them like they had not actually been cleaned. The mugs were placed rim-down on the table, and the table was sticky and clearly not cleaned completely. They DO NOT TAKE CARD, and even though they have an ATM, it's old and doesn't work. The waitress was nice about it but told me she is responsible for paying the bill if I couldn't, which isn't fair. The food was okay, but the pancakes were dreadful, soggy, and bland. I thought that Billy's was a good example of a no frills diner that delivered solid breakfast food in my opinion. Simple decor, good prices and decent food on my first visit last weekend, I was able to get full and paid only $10 for my meal, tip included. I just ordered a basic breakfast with sausage, two eggs over easy, hashbrowns and pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly, especially the hashbrowns, which had the perfect amount of char on the outside. I also found out that Billy's is cash or check only, no credit or debit cards, but they do have an ATM on site. There are some good breakfast places in Omaha that can get a bit pricey, its nice to see there are still options for cheaper, down home food. read more

This was one of the poorest excuses for a diner. One of my two eggs was cooked to order, the hash browns were greasy and the pretty flat biscuit was loaded with some yellow greasy substance. The service was about the worst I've ever had in this town!! The waitress took her time even coming to take my order, which took 10 plus minutes. She never came back with a coffee refill or my bill. Hit this location with my son's this a.m.. we love to do breakfast out. Coffee was great, cinnamon French toast and bacon good. Waffle was yummy! Hash browns were crisp and yum! Eggs were good. We originally went to the Blondo location this morning, but were unlucky enough to pull in right after a ton of CWS folk filling it all at once. Got in the car and drove another 5 minutes to this Miracle Hills one, sooooo glad I did. This time it was me, my son, and my daughter. This place is exactly as advertised, except the food is better than you think. No frills diner where you can order breakfast or lunch from 7 to 2. I always stick to the breakfast menu, and they do it right, Had the ham omelette with American cheese, cinnamon raisin French toast, hash browns, and a side of bacon. One kid had the kids cheeseburger, the other had scrambled eggs and an enormous blueberry pancake. Everyone's food was delicious. Generous portions and great service as well. And like the others mention, its cash only but they do have an ATM inside. At this point I think I'd feel comfortable going to any of the Billy's locations! read more

We visit for breakfast 3-4 times each month, normally on Sunday. Staple breakfast, variety of combos, reasonably priced and consistently good. On Sundays, If you don't get there by 10, you'll probably have to wait a few minutes for a table. Hash browns, bacon, sausage not too greasy. Pancakes are really good. Scrambled eggs - they don't whip them a lot, you have large flecks of white and yellow, which is kind of weird, but is good. Food comes out in a short amount of time and is always hot. This location is hit or miss, more a problem with the Staff, then the food. First it was a problem with the Cook, now a waitress with a major attitude being aggressive and rude. To have a waitress get an attitude and treat us rudely because there were no menu's on our table and when she asked us if we wanted one, We got treated terrible because someone else didn't do their job. We've enjoyed going to multiple locations in the past and will continue to do so, but this location has moved to the bottom of our list of places to visit when we want to spend money eating out. read more

I come here off and on when I am in this part of town. I always find that the wait staff is friendly. The food is very good, and in my opinion, they make the best Denver omelette in town. The price is right, even though they only take cash. The restaurant is also always clean. The only downside is that if you come early in the morning, you may not be able to get a seat. A friend of mine had never been to Billy's Miracle Hills Cafe, so I suggested that as a destination for us on July 12th. And he was impressed and compared his experience there to similar restaurants we've visited together. Billy's is a simple setting...home-style cooking for breakfast and lunch. They close at 2PM, but eating breakfast at 1PM or lunch at 7AM is nice, IMHO. Food is served promptly and hot, fresh-cooked after you place your order. Portions are generous...I always have a take-out box with me. And they have the best servers in town. Friendly and prompt. I chose the chicken-fried steak omlette, served with hashbrowns and pancakes; my friend had the Mexican browns...ground beef, an egg and seasonings mixed into a generous portion of hashbrowns...and he took some home too. Billy's has several stores in Omaha, so check for what's closest to your home and give them a try soon. I don't think you'll be disappointed! read more

The food is pretty solid here. I have no complaints. The service is great. Food never takes too long, it's never cold, and is never under- or overcooked. The waitress is amazing. She greets almost everyone as they come and go, she keeps up with all of the tables no matter how busy it is, and she's really friendly. Horrible experience! I stopped in after a trip to the bank. Didn't realize they closed at 2 so, got my toddler a chocolate milk to go. I gave it back after tasting it because it was sour. The girl checked the gallon in the fridge and it was expired. I watched her dump it down the sink. I didn't want to hold anyone up so I told her not to worry about it, just go ahead and tear up my check (2.14... they don't take debit cards). It was cashed this past week and when I called to just let the manager know he started yelling at me and telling me that I left with the milk and that I was trying to get something for free and that I was liar and hung up on me. I didn't realize the previous restaurant had been bought out by billy's cafe before I went in, the old restaurant was a favorite of mine when I was in town. Unfortunately billy's wasn't even in the same ballpark. I've never been served powdered potatoes, canned green beans, and frozen chicken fried steak at a restaurant. I signed up for yep for this review because it frustrates me when restaurants don't take pride in what they do and take advantage of there customers. I think billy needs to stop putting all his profits in to racing "its on the menu" and start investing in better food quality. read more
