These guys are top notch and I HIGHLY recommend them for turf work. I had loose rock and they removed all the rock and prepped the space for the turf. They worked all morning and were completely done by just after lunch. I know it was a small job (400 sq ft), but they worked very hard to get it done. I never felt pressured to add more to the service and was very happy with the final results. Specifically, our house backs up to a nature preserve, so it is inevitable that we get a lot of sand and dust from the hillside. We also have a high shedding male dog but none of that mattered. Scott and his team spent the next few days trying to solve my dilemma, and within a WEEK, had the proper roll delivered to my home (2hours away), free of charge. On top of that I got an amazing deal on grass that saved me about $2200 + free fill, had I had bought that tier of grass new. I highly recommend looking into AGR as an option and feel confident their team will do right by you.

After meeting with Adam and several other contractors, I decided to go with Patio Guy not only…read morebecause of his five-star rating, but several other factors that were important to me (and probably you as well): 1) He could deliver and install my new cover within a week vs. the other guys taking months; 2) I wasn't limited to just the AlumaWood product (which wasn't modern enough for me), and (3) his price to install with an upgraded cover (insulated) was far below his competitors constrained by higher overhead and slower delivery times. I ended up selecting a Duralum cover that his company also offers, and I'm glad I did. It's just the look I was going for. I was also impressed with Adam's business model, which is built on quality and efficiency at a very reasonable price without cutting corners or sacrificing customer service. Now for the best part: A guy named Brody, his lead installer. In addition to being a super nice guy, his work is meticulous. The back of my home isn't linear, so there are bump-outs and protrusions, making the installation more difficult and time consuming. This wasn't the slightest challenge for Brody and his team. The finished product is snuggled tightly against my stucco and professionally sealed on the roof to prevent any water dripping through when it rains. I watched him work, measuring and cutting the aluminum to match my home so the fit and finish is far greater than I imagined. As you can tell from the photos, I still have work to do (concrete coating, fence repairs, etc.) to match the beauty of my new cover.

Jeff's quote was not the most expensive nor was it the cheapest. What made us choose Ruff & Ready you ask? Jeff spoke as if what he said would actually happen. And that's how it went! He was transparent, honest, and didn't fluff anything. He got us a quote for the updated work within 24 hours. His office assistant Vanessa answered all our questions and walked us through the timeline of the whole thing, from start to finish, from signing our contract to paying the deposit to when we would begin work to how to pay the remaining balance. Vanessa answered text messages promptly and also answered the phone. No elevator music on the other line, no 'all of our representatives are busy' garbage. The crew who came out was incredible. They were respectful. They didn't blast music or leave trash. They were thorough and adhered to the timeline given. They closed the gate and ensured it was locked each day, which matters to me as a mom with littles. They parked in the street and moved when I needed to get into my garage. What a nightmare!! STAY AWAY! I am still dealing with AGL about the defective lawn they installed at our house. Unfortunately, they have not returned my calls for over 2 weeks. In fact, they have told their employees not to "touch it". Our lawn looks really bad and we just wanted it fixed. We spent over $6,000. Finally yesterday they sent out a technician to fix the grass but was not successful. I really don't understand the problem. They installed defective grass, but somehow they are upset with us for asking them to repair. We are still hoping they will honor the warranty, but likely will end up in a lawsuit. Personally, I would never use this company again. This has become a real headache because of their unwillingness to fix the problem or to even call to discuss. Unethical behavior is difficult to deal with. If they fix the lawn, I will update review. Here's a copy of the email I sent to AGL, but with no response. "I am a dissatisfied customer. See Cody for background info. Here is what I overlooked from the installation 2 weeks ago. 1. Screws sticking out 1.5" beyond wood stake. 2. Screws drilled in only to the border and sticking out 2". 3. Wood stakes were not predrilled and split and, obviously, not replaced. (As a separate issue, why not use something that will last a few years, pressure treated if you have to.) 4. Wood stakes not driven in flush with border. ie sticking up. 5. Yard not cleaned up at end of job. Many pieces of artificial grass spread about. Base rock left on driveway. Rubber marks left on concrete drive. (Why not put down a tarp on the dirt, and then clean up your mess?). 6. The gate would not close because the grass needed to be trimmed (ie it was not cut off flush with the concrete edge.) 7. We had to pay extra for the installer to rip up an additional 500 sq. ft. of sod, even though it was part of what we told Cody we wanted done. The estimate also did not include the 18" strip on the side of the driveway, though we also told Cody this. We did not have to pay extra for this (I better check the invoice as I might have been charged.). 8. The edging is not straight where it should be straight. (Looks bad but I 'm ok with it.) 9. And this is the kicker. Rather than using a seeder or spreader like your website installation procedures show, a worker carried a can and threw out the sand, most of it not being spread. If the installer had just asked, he could have borrowed my tools and done the job right. And to make matters even worse, I was the one who suggested to the installer that I could remove some fence rails to get his Bobcat in and that we could wait another day. Why did I suggest this? So that the installer could make more money and he knew it. And he did make more. A one day install. A dream install! (At least I think it is.) And then he charges me for removing the turf that his salesman forgot to include. Both a ridiculous and unfair practice that should never occur and when it does, the practice should be reported to authorities so that it stops. (I know I should have looked at the the layout sent from Cody, but unfortunately, I only looked at the price.) So that is what I have overlooked from the installation. That was until I asked for support from Cody. It has now been two full weeks and my lawn looks like crap. I have never heard from the installer. This is after repeated efforts to contact him. He would not, and has not, returned my inquires. Again, please talk to Cody as he has the background info. A word to the wise. There wont be a drought forever and shoddy practices like this won't survive. I now feel very uncomfortable using your installer to fix my lawn. If you are inclined to fix it (I assume it is not your legal responsibility), maybe you can use one of your other installers. Please don't send just a power broom. They have already done that with the infill and it didn't work. Then of course, we really don't know because the infill wasn't spread properly to begin with. If it is beyond your control, I can understand and accept that. I will continue on my plan to have it replaced this week by another company and file a lawsuit against the installer. It looks really bad and I don't see any inclination of the installer to honor any warranty. I assume you only warrant the artificial grass, not the installation. So I will deal with that separate from AGL. Again, see Cody. I understand the installer is likely another company and that you really have no control over his actions. I really wanted to overlook all of the above, and would have if my lawn was fixed, but my lawn wasn't and I think you should know. My Dad is 86 years old. How would you feel if a company came in and treated your Dad this way? Do you think it might bother your Dad a bit to have to hire someone to clean up the leftover mess? I have installed the turf with Biltright back on November. They finished the turf in one and half day. But there is a problem with drain system. Call Bilright. Jason Cox take the call , he say need install the extra drain for $600. Jason send one guy out to put the turf out install the drain. The guy come after week on they have other projects near by. He brings a different Material of the pipe, it's leaking the water on the connector. I call Jason, He want me to deal with it. And keep saying they spelling to many hours on my drain, they only can do it like the way it's or go and come back other day. I ask when He say next time when they have some projects near me. I just choose the way they do it. After the drain install Other problem come , the guy in hurry put the turf back which have a big gap and don't power brooming right. Call Biltright Jason say will send someone back when they have some projects near me. I have waiting for more then a month now , still no one come take care the problem. now my back yard have a leaking drain pip on the ground and the turf have a gap between the concrete. And 1/3 the turf doesn't stand up. Overall spell over 10k to give some terrible experience...... Biltright have a poor customer service. Please be avoid this company. read more

I had a TERRIBLE experience with manager of the team that installed my grass. The over all job was good and my dealing with Kimberly at the Biltright office was excellent...but the guy in charge of the workers that did the actual install was Horrible! He did not know how to communicate issues properly and so it felt like he was lying about everything....and it turns out he actually DID lie to me saying I could only get a 5 by 6 patch of the extra left over grass... when in fact Kimberly told me that I could have ALL the left overs since I paid for it. So either this guy was grossly under trained to do his job or he was a straight up SHADY LIAR and was trying to keep the left overs for himself. He even told me to go into my own house when he thought I was recording him...when I was just face timing my sister and showing her the new grass. At that point we got into an argument because you are NOT going to tell me I can't do something on my OWN PROPERTY! I wasn't even recording but I sure did after he said that! I paid THOUSANDS of dollars to get my grass done and how dare you lie, cheat, and disrespect me ON MY OWN PROPERTY! AGL's method of joining of the grass strips is excellent in that each of the pieces fits exactly with not gaps at the joints 3. The price included a continuously laid cement mow (edge) strip 4. AGL's price was about 10% lower than the local Home Depot contractor I contracted with AGL to replace my back-yard lawn only as I wanted to see what the back-yard looked like before contracting for the front lawn as well Although AGL advised that it would take three days to finish the back lawn, with machine breakdowns it took longer but the resulting lawn and mow strip appearance are excellent I then contracted with AGL to replace the smaller area front yard lawn (half the size of the back-yard) and the advertised three days took about two and a half days to complete As with the back-yard, the front-yard lawn appearance is excellent All of AGL's workers were considerate and cleaned up the work areas before leaving I am very happy with AGL's price, performance and the appearance of the resulting lawns Alan Binks read more

We purchased a 9 hole miniature golf course installation from AGL as a Christmas gift to our grandchildren. The design was created in one day and the work was started a few days later. When the job was completed we found the putting greens were not functional, the curbs were level to the green allowing the golf ball to go outside of the putting area. AGL communicated to us that they had challenges in our mountain environment and did what they felt would esthetically look good for us. When we discussed the need to contain the ball in each hole, that we wanted the course to be functional rather than look good, they immediately addressed the situation and gave us several options to resolve the problem. Once we choose an option the work was completed quickly at no additional cost. The mini golf course is now a beautiful enhancement to our yard as well as functional, the grandchildren love it and it will create memories to last a lifetime. I'm very happy with AGL and their professionalism as well as their willingness to work with us to ensure we were satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend AGL to anyone looking into using artificial turf. read more

I never stepped foot in this business. Just ordered grass over the phone, and it was delivered for free 48 HRs later as promised. I installed the grass with two day laborers, with me running around for materials and a heavy compactor. For fixing the grass in place, we did find that we preferred the big staples that home improvement stores sell over the nails that came with delivery. Also, a word of warning: if you decide to use DG as the underlay, be sure you see what you are buying before they load your truck. I bought some from a materials yard in Vista that looked, felt, and smelled more like dirt than DG. I did not have the energy to tell them to unload it, and we went ahead and used it. Time will tell if it will remain stable. The job took two days and the turf looks good! I'm a 64 yr old lady, and glad I was able to work with DAN from the SAN DIEGO location. He sold me the right amount, gave me a suggested layout, and texted me what to do when the workers folded the turf under on one edge. (No folding!) Job was in Oceanside. Met with Ron from AGL and he was great. Answered all my questions and got me an estimate on the spot. Even took care of the Hero Financing for me while at my house. Ended up finalizing the deal and had an install appointment 1 week later. Day of Install. The crew showed up right on time and got right to work. I left for the morning and when I came back around lunch they had made a ton of progress and gave me an update. By 4:00 that day they were already finishing up. Couldn't believe it. Its like they just picked up my old grass and put the turf right in. Looks absolutely amazing and very durable. I have since put up a large wooden swing set/fort and my kids are having a blast playing on the grass. No mess from them tearing up grass and dirt and very durable. We went to Home Depot to talk to someone about artificial turf project and they put us in touch with Kyle. He set up Zoom meeting to discuss details of project and get recommendations on turf types. They sent a guy couple days later with samples and he took measurements. Kimberly Adams was project manager and worked with us on some changes to the project and start date and she was amazing to work with. We are in love with our new turf that Biltright installed in our backyard. We needed something strong and that drained well for dogs. Our Mastiff is practically a mini horse and turned our lawn into a mud pit. The turf solved that and we now love the backyard again thanks to Biltright. Great job done! I had 800 sq ft of pet turf installed that was done quickly and professionally. John was awesome in setting up the project and taking his time to make sure I got what I wanted. I have been screwed over by other contractors so it was really nice to finally get a great job done with no problems and no hassle. Would highly recommend them! I received a great quote from Joe at Biltright to install their turf so proceeded with the job. Joe was great to work with, he also worked with my son on their turf! Within a week they were out to remove all of the rocks and boulders in my yard, what a job! They removed all debris at the end of the day and cleaned up. They quickly installed the turf which is soft and beautiful! I now have usable space to play games and for our dogs to relax! The dogs really love it! And we love it too! I worked well with Bert Alonzo. Very happy with the product and the service. The service person (Carlos, out of Murrietta) did an excellent job single handedly installing the turf. I might also add this is a job that requires two people in my opinion because of all the offloading and then onloading of very heavy equipment from the delivery truck. There seem to be serious back injuries or falls from the truck just waiting to happen for the service person installing the turf by himself or herself. read more

The largest tree, a Mediterranean fan palm in a 30" box, was installed expertly - showing they can handle heavy, mature trees as well.
