I love this thin crust pizza. This place has been around forever. I love the flavor of the sauce. My biggest complaint is the canned mushrooms on their specialty pizza. They do have sandwiches and hot dogs here, but I've never ordered anything but pizza. read more

My Bimbo's Pizza experience is a mash of debating between Erbillies and Jetz pizza. We ended up compromising by trying a different pizza place. The dice was dropped on Bimbo's, which we have never tried before. If you like Pizza and good service dont go to Bimbo's. You'll be indirectly asked to leave 30mins before closing, and you'r pizza will taste like cheese on cardboard. read more

I have mixed feelings. They have Mello Yello on the fountain, which makes me very pleased. I had a small pizza. The toppings and sauce were very good. The cheese was flavorful, the banana peppers had lots of taste and weren't hot. The pepperoni was great and the bacon wasn't too salty. The crust there is a bit chewy. I'd like to go again and see if I like it a second time. I don't feel that it holds up well to being microwaved. I usually get more pizza than I can eat so I can reheat it in the morning. I plan to check this place out the next time I am downtown. It's possible that the larger pizzas have a different crust consistency as well. The staff was very nice and the building is very nice. This is by far the best pizza I have ever had, and I have been to New York and it's even better then that. Nothing could top there crust you will never get a soggy crust there, it's always nice this and crispy. Then let's talk about there sauce, I could literally drink that sauce with a straw that's how good it is! There cheese and pepperoni is really good to, this place has every part of the pizza right! I haven't been here for a couple years, and I was highly disappointed when I got my takeout pizza. I got the bimbos specialty; the pizza was flavorless and was falling apart when I went to take a piece. There was no seasoning at all. I ended up finishing the cheese bread, because it was seasoned. My parents went here in college - the 60s. We went in childhood and up - the 80s. My children came here as soon as they left the hospital from being born and still find it their favorite pizza of all time as well - the Millennials. A long-standing family pizza place we all have enjoyed for a lifetime and go once a week! Up on the sky deck for a party with friends. Ordered 4 pizzas for $116.00 kinda outrageous. Made worse by the 90 min wait, they're almost in the same building. Pizzas looked like they dropped the boxes. They weren't even sliced through. And were all the same even though we'd ordered different ones. I've never had Bimbos pizza and am sure I never will again. Very disappointing Kalamazoo. Maybe you should raise the bar and not settle for over priced, crappy pizza. Friendly staff but pizza is gross. Everything is basic and I'm shocked at the good reviews. It tastes like a tombstone pizza from meijer. Sauce is watery,toppings and crust are flavorless. Wasted $20 on it. We left angry cause it was a waste of money. Even the fountain drinks were flat. We barely ate it. This pizza place is great for crust. Very light and thin and crispy. Also, pretty fair prices! The reason I rate it low is because I like a flavor packed deep dish style pizza and this place just doesn't offer that. We were hoping for a more flavorful pizza with more taste. It might be a good idea to consider adding garlic or herbs to it to Jazz it up a bit otherwise it's just kind of bland. Even tried it with ranch and wasn't satisfied. I'm big on pizza and ranch and was disappointed when I discovered that they don't make their own and only provide pre-packaged kens. I really liked Bimbo's. The people were great and I loved the old, storefront with the high ceiling inside. I really liked the food as well and will be back every chance I get. Pizzas were spot on and had their own unique style and character. They actually reminded me of the pizzas my mom used to make when I was a kid, complete with the square cut slices. There are so many different styles of pizza out there and if you have your heart set on one specific style and Bimbo's doesn't match up with that style, that's unfortunate. I visited Bimbo's on a whim, was a little hungry and it was close to closing time. Everything about the restaurant was perfectly fine, I didn't have any issues with the staff or the environment. The food wasn't terrible either, but this pizza is just not for me. I can't rate it three stars because I didn't think it was okay, it was just not for me. I hope that if I leave a review that in the future I'll remember it with more fidelity and select something else. O Bimbo's! Your beautiful downtown pizza place exudes charm and family ambiance. The open kitchen and cheesy family photographs along side the BRICK oven! Bimbo's you even have a fantastic thin crust to rave about with a pretty decent sauce yet you go and muck it all up by using canned vegetables. Over processed meat, tinny tasting mushrooms and mushy, slimy green peppers. Come on! Greasy cheese topped it all off so our pizza was swimming in a pool of orange liquid. Blech. read more

People in Kalamazoo don't get the concept of thin crust pizza, but if you look at all the ingredients they use, they are high quality.
