Please bare with me and read this review of mine in its entirety…read more I first called the dealership to find out if the parts department was open. Alexis said it was open until 6pm and transferred my call to that department. A guy by the name of Armen answered the phone and I explained to him that I needed two parts. I gave him my make and model of my car and by the time I got there, he had already found me by my VIN#. As I pulled into the driveway, another guy by the name of Oscar that had a pleasant smile wanted to know how he could help me. I told him I am here to see Armen at the parts department and he is expecting me. Gladly showed me his office and I walked in. Armen was wonderful, kind, sweet, and very helpful. We even had a quick chat. I told him to come and take a look at both parts, and based on that, he can give me an estimate and let me know whether or not they had the parts in. He was very honest. In this day and age, it's very hard to find honest people. Right away he printed 2 invoices. One for the parts, which cost $263.71 including tax, minus labor. For the other part we didn't even discuss it. The second invoice was a referral to another mechanic shop that Armen said will do the work for half the price. Now, the parts are: 2 broken cup holders and the back light from the driver's side. The car wash I went to last month broke it while cleaning inside my car. He also told me that the light is more of an electrical problem and it really is a hassle. So with that being said, I got both invoices and left. The dealership has a lot of different amenities. Parts, Valet, Uber pick up/drop off. They serve coffee in their indoor waiting room and have 2 vending machines. One for drinks and the other one for snacks. A long line of booths with very helpful employees. A special area for people to wait while their cars are ready. They do all types of maintenance, they have new and used cars. Way too many. And those of you who also own a new or used BMWs know what I am talking about. He also told me to check on eBay. Might get a better price. I have had my share of good and bad experiences at this particular dealership. Based on yesterday's visit, at 4:15pm, was GREAT! The place was spotless clean both inside and outside. It's not fun having an old car. But that's all I have. So I need to fix/repair until it takes its last breath. Hopefully not any time soon! Thank you Armen, the other employees and BMW dealership. Just license, fees, and first month's payment DAS (due at signing). I started the process on Sunday afternoon when they were closed and went to the dealership on the following Saturday to pick up the car. This was the most stress free car buying experience of all time for me. Once I told Sam about the make, model, and trim I wanted with no add-ons, he went to work getting me the best quote. There was a dealer that quoted $13 more than the first dealer and Sam tried to get the dealer to come down in price to match the first offer. He didn't so we went with the first dealer to lock in a low monthly payment plus tax. None of that "cap cost reduction" nonsense you see in the car dealer ads that fool you into thinking you got a deal. You are just prepaying the lease and lowering your monthly payments. The deal that Sam got me was low selling price for the car, standard residual (set by the bank), lease rebate, zero upsell. In fact, I just dealt with Sam 100% of the time. I got the contract emailed to me to sign. Sam met me at the dealership to sign a couple of DMV forms. I wrote the check to the dealership, then Sam drove the car out to the pick up area. ZERO CONTACT WITH ANYONE AT THE VW DEALERSHIP! No games at the finance desk, no wasted time going back and forth, honest selling price of car, and standard money rate with the lease. Sam basically shielded me from all the high pressure sales tactic and made sure I got the best deal. Do yourself a favor and hire a professional like Sam to battle the dealership. This was truly and EZ experience and there was no fee or bill from Sam.

Initially, I like shopping for a car via email and text message, until we get the framework of a deal done. He was very respectful and asked permission before actually calling me. Living in Southern Nevada and driving to CA to purchase a car may seem daunting. But Sergio made sure my experience was stellar. Before I arrived, after a nearly 5-hour drive, the car was fully detailed and looked brand new. All the expected accessories and owner's manual were in the car, ready to go. I had mentioned that this was a college graduation gift for my daughter, so the icing on the cake was he made an extra effort to put a giant red bow on the bonnet of the car! My daughter felt so special when she saw her new-to-her car for the first time! All relationships begin great...the honeymoon phase as it is known. The real test of a relationship is what happens when things do not go exactly as planned. The first test of my new relationship with the dealership happened when I took a closer look at the tires. Although they were all the same brand, Hankooks, the tires on the passenger's side were summer performance, run-flats and the driver's side were high performance all-season, non-run-flats. Of course, used cars are used cars and there is no obligation to ensure all the tires are exactly the same. It was my fault for not noticing the difference when I inspected the car...I my kids joy clouded my normal OCD tendencies! I reached out to Sergio and his manager Bernie with my concerns. They pointed out that no ill-will was intended (frankly, I knew this already) and that although there was really no obligation on their part to have matching tires, the recognized it was not ideal and offered to send me one brand new tire, that matched the summer run-flat OEM tires. So basically we split the difference, they provided a new on and I bought a new one to make a complete set. It was a nice compromise. What I appreciate most about my experience is that Sergio, always did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. I did not need to follow-up incessantly. For example, one of the keys was missing and he told me he would ship it the following week. The following week came and the key arrived via mail as promised. He even went the extra mile and provided two batteries for the keys! Great service...the little things add up! Sorry for the novel, the Cliff Notes summary is this...if you are looking for a new or used Mini Cooper, please do yourself a favor and ask for Sergio and MINI of Universal City.
