The entire process was smooth as silk. I worked with Sam who helped me get a great lease for a 2026 VW Atlas SE. Zero money down! Just license, fees, and first month's payment DAS (due at signing). I started the process on Sunday afternoon when they were closed and went to the dealership on the following Saturday to pick up the car. This was the most stress free car buying experience of all time for me. Once I told Sam about the make, model, and trim I wanted with no add-ons, he went to work getting me the best quote. There was a dealer that quoted $13 more than the first dealer and Sam tried to get the dealer to come down in price to match the first offer. He didn't so we went with the first dealer to lock in a low monthly payment plus tax. None of that "cap cost reduction" nonsense you see in the car dealer ads that fool you into thinking you got a deal. You are just prepaying the lease and lowering your monthly payments. The deal that Sam got me was low selling price for the car, standard residual (set by the bank), lease rebate, zero upsell. In fact, I just dealt with Sam 100% of the time. When I ultimately decided on iX, I was specifically looking for a blue exterior with a mocha interior, but Sam's suggestions could have come from a completely different color palette. Instead, he continuously offered me cars in shades of gray and black, paired with interiors in red or black (one time found close to the desired shade of brown)--choices as off-target as sending a vegetarian to a steakhouse. Our interactions were primarily through text, with only one actual conversation. Despite this minimal direct communication, Sam complained that my inquiries were taking up too much of his "valuable" time, given his "high volume" of clients. This made me feel more like an inconvenience than a client, especially when paired with his patronizing remarks, such as "Come on, Claire," when I told him the offer I had from a dealer which were less than helpful. This pattern wasn't just a one-off mistake but a persistent issue throughout our interactions. Each time, I reiterated my preferences, hoping for better alignment with my requests. Additionally, the dealership covered my first month's insurance because my cheaper policy wouldn't start for 14 days--a thoughtful touch that starkly contrasted with Sam's lack of client-oriented service. In contrast, Sam's final offer lacked transparency and was not competitive, with his complaints of me "taking his time" and a sudden shot of "now you have to pay $250 service fee" for simply inquiring through Leasehackr, showcasing a lack of professionalism and respect for potential clients. I advise strongly against using Sam's services if you are looking for a car lease broker who values professionalism, transparency, and respect for clients' intelligence and autonomy.
