They will scam you. I bought a used Prius for $20k from them 2 years ago, everything seemed legit and they convinced me it was with a carfax report that I think was bogus. There have been countless problems with it including needing all the tires replaced immediately, the AC not working, electrical issues, and today I learned at the smog check that the catalytic converter had been replaced with an illegal one, so I didnt pass the check and I cant get my registration renewed. I called Royal Auto and they acted like that had no idea, although they gave it the first smog check so they had to have known. They said they cant do anything. Most of which the interior of their vehicles at those dealerships were extremely filthy, had pet hair, strong smoke odor, broken glass, badly stained seats, cigarette buts piled up in the car etc... There were times the exterior didn't look no better. And none of the other dealerships had, in my opinion, enough cars to choose from. Royal Auto Dealer struck me as just the opposite! Anyhow, as soon as I hit the lot of Royal Auto Dealer I knew this place was different. And it was. No vehicle on this lot fit the description above. I said to myself finally, thank God! Also, and most importantly, I would definitely describe this dealership as "accountable". The issues and concerns I had after my purchase, they routinely stepped up to resolve them. My 19 year old daughter bought a 2017 Kia Soul, 111K miles, at Royal Auto Dealer at the beginning of April. We did not purchase their "48 hour return with no questions asked "warranty"" because she lives 2 hours away and we knew she wouldn't be able to get it to a mechanic within that time. We trusted Royal Auto Dealer & salesman Cristian Sierra that they had inspected the car and there were no major issues. Who would think a 2017 car would have major issues? My daughter asked him directed if he thought there would be major a problem. We trusted them. We had the car inspected by a mechanic at the end of April. The first thing checked was the oil and he noticed it was DOUBLE the quantity of oil that it should be and their were metal bits in it. Upon further inspection he noticed that many parts in the engine had been replaced (NOT reflected in the CarFax). Per the mechanic "they have tried everything but replace the engine but that is what it needs." A NEW ENGINE. AFTER 35 day & 350 miles??!! (It also needed new brakes which we had replaced. That is expected maintenance.) The issue was clearly already there and they sold it anyway. I emailed Royal Auto Dealer the details from the mechanic asking to discuss the situation and their one response was "Sorry for the inconvenience but you didn't buy the 48 hour "warranty" and it's a high mileage car. We do inspect our cars and sometimes things happen." I responded asking for a copy of their inspection and a list of repairs made to the car not reflected in CarFax. No response. I have emailed again. I have called. I have texted with no response. We would never have purchased this car had we known all the facts. Never. Having a "high Yelp review" means more than having a good experience during the sale. It means standing by the cars you sell. A 2017 car should not need a new engine a month after purchasing it. It means returning hard phone calls when things go wrong. It doesn't mean ghosting your buyer who purchased a $12K car from you. Its means doing the right thing. This is not service it is just wrong. read more

ALEX PACHECO a sales person at ROYAL AUTO DEALER showed me a similar option when I returned. A car that has just arrived the day of (so it wasn't online yet!). THE SAME MODEL, Chevy sonic 2015. A little less miles for $6000. I had $4000 cash and he offered to finance the $2000 difference between the sonic 2012 and the sonic 2015 with WESTLAKE FINANCIAL !!! I shared the good news via text with my friends and family. (I will attach screenshots and pictures just to underline the facts) COMES OUT, they somehow managed to change the numbers from a total of $6000 to (sit down:) $10.400!!! First of all, the purchased car is not worth $10.400. That number has NEVER been mentioned!!!! -- My original budget for the car was $4000 cash. I would never agree to suddenly buy essentially the same car for $6400 more than planned. (2k more for the newer model was reasonable, specially with the offer of financing.) Long story short : I NOW OWE ALEX PACHECO & ROYAL AUTO DEALER $4804,00 via their partner WESTLAKE FINANCIAL for a Chevy Sonic 2015, 100k miles with the engine light on that I already paid 4K in cash for ! Congrats to the parties mentioned above. The team work between you is impressive. Again, THEY LITERALLY CHANGED THE PRICE To a $10.400 instead of $6000 Without my knowledge! If you do purchase a car from here, please keep the $250 two day cool-off period. I had an engine light issue come up on my second day of purchase, received it 3 days later after having their mechanic look at it, and it seemed as if every second day I got a new light popping up on my dashboard from the engine light to my coolant light. I always made sure to ask my salesman, Christian, if that meant my two-day period would start over as well and I'm glad I did in retrospect. I had to desert my car at a gas station during one of these times as I didn't feel safe driving it home. They came and personally picked up my car to take it to their "facility" to get it fixed instead of the mechanic they have on their property. I don't recall how many days that took, but I had yet another light come on when I got the car back, and they blamed a part they received from the dealership they took it to as being faulty and would order a new one. During this time I officially took the car to my own mechanic and decided to return the car after finding out the results. My salesman really tried his best to work with me during the issues with the vehicle being repaired, issuing me another vehicle to drive each time, and apologized profusely. Also be aware of the $500 restocking fee if you are returning the car, which is really the only reason why I wanted to avoid giving it back immediately. They offered to sell me another car on their lot to avoid paying the fee and I turned it down. read more

I wouldn't recommend this dealer. You know the ol' sleezy used car salesman trope? This is it. I bought a car from them in pretty good shape, but there were things they lied to me about. The first one was a simple lie that the key fob is good, you just have to hold it up to the push button to get it going. "A problem with this model". NOPE. It was just a dead key fob battery. Another lie, I explained the tire thread indicator is showing these tires are bald, but I was told that, "no, these are new tires! what are you talking about?". Went to pep boys after purchasing, and was told I was sold the car with bald tires and it was illegal to do so at it's current tread amount. The next one, and this is a big one, I was charged an additional $1k at the last minute (during signing) because the car had a lojack "installed". They did not mention this before, nor had it reflected in it's price. They literally just jacked up the price $1k before I was about to sign. After purchasing, I called lojack directly, and they explained my car does not have lojack installed either on the new or legacy lojack system. Try not to shop here. read more

Be aware when you purchase a car from this dealer. I purchased a 2014 SMART Fortwo on December 1st, paid $7000 plus $650 warranty, total $7650. This was my first time purchasing used car, I had a trust in them and assumed that the car was cleared of major problems as they told me so. So I purchased the car and took the car after 2 days to the mechanic to check if it needed any service for minor problems. When I got estimate sheet, I was so shocked, it came out $2600 (mainly transmission problem, axel, brake, leaking problems, etc.) and all the problem areas weren't covered by warranty, so I had to pay $2600 from my own pocket. I emailed and texted the dealer about this, no reply, then I called them day after and they gave me 2 options. 1. Pay them $1000 and return the car 2. They will only give me 15% of the repair cost I chose #2 option as I couldn't throw away $1000 to return the car. I would say nothing if it happened after owning the car for few months, and also understand that used cars could have minor problems. BUT repair cost of $2600 is a lot of money. So overall I paid $10,000 for this car. I would have buy another car if I was to spend $10K. I don't think they purposely sold a faulty car, but they should have inspected and let customer know about the issues. read more

There was curb rash on the rims and they even volunteered to spray painted it but it came off right away. There was a lot of issues.. rims are almost worn out, there was rust on the rotor.. i told them if they could replace it since I just bought the car but they told me the car comes as is. i'm really disappointed since It came from a dealership they should've updated the car before selling it! He acts like he's your friend and he's giving you an amazing deal, while he's clear what's on his mind. The amazing car that he sold us had several problems just a few months after we bought it. You try to be patient and pay, everything will be ok after that. The reparation for the first problems costed over $3,000. It's October 2021 and the car needs further reparations for over $6,000, the original price was a little over $9,000. When we called the guy, the only thing he can say: "What you want me to do?" You sell a faulty product, overpriced, you are completely negligent and careless, but still you're cool with, you act like it's not your fault at all, actually maybe it's on the client.
