What a great diner! I love stopping here when we're traveling nearby. The homemade breads and pies are insane. Sweetbreads, cinnamon raisin, White bread and at least 1/2 dozen flavors of pies. Breakfast was simple and the prices are very reasonable here. My soft scrambled eggs with grilled ham and cinnamon raisin toast was perfect. My husband had a delicious egg, cheese and bacon sandwich on their homemade white bread. The service is excellent and the place is always neat and clean.

Road tripping with the dog and we needed a quick breakfast. Stumbled across this place and it was just what we needed. Two sandwiches to go w/a cup of coffee. Everything was exceptional- service was fast and friendly. Can't wait for our return trip!

We both chose the French onion soup and a luncheon melt special. The soup was robust with plenty of onions although the cheese was generally melted and not broiled. Both of the meats were very good and the service was very prompt and precise. We look forward to our return trip every year.

We drove by this town and grabbed lunch here. It was raining but warm and cozy inside . There are many different types of pie inside, they all look good. Here are what we ordered: Chicken Pot Pie - crust is ok but the filling is too salty Chicken Carbonara - taste is perfect Liver and Onion - a little bit sweet but not too sweet, the potato is yummy Chicken corn chowder - too much stuff in the soup, can't taste too much of the soup, but it is great for ppl who are hungry I still recommend this place if you are in the area.

Bingham's isn't exactly on the beaten path for us as Los Angeles, California residents, but it is about halfway between Allentown, PA and Syracuse, NY which made it the perfect place for a relatives meetup between the two cities. So we did! Bingham's is a comfortable American restaurant with super-friendly staff and all the American comforts you could want for breakfast and pies to boot. We're vegetarians so there usually isn't any kind of issue finding something to eat off a breakfast menu and the portions and food we received served our needs. I had egg whites with potatoes and a biscuit. Everything was cooked as it should be though I'm not as much a fun of biscuits cooked on the grill after being baked, but that's just a personal preference. The egg whites were cooked perfectly which is not always a given at places on or off the beaten path. Our kid had the walnut waffle which was generous in size and look and he liked it. My wiff had eggs over easy with potatoes and they were perfectly prepared as well. The coffee was okay. I'm a fan of super-strong coffee and this was a level or so above "browned water" so not "send-backable" but not exactly what I'd hoped for. We'd definitely come again on the way to and from PA or NY.

We stop at Binghams whenever we drive down to NYC. We stipped by yesterday and you can never go wrong with any of the menu items. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed with huge desserts. When we were seated there was a really cold breeze coming through and our waitress allowed us to move tables. Our waitress was Delany and she was really sweet and attentive. I ordered the chicken pot pie and french onion soup. The chicken pot pie came with a side salad. The salad was great, just your typical salad and then the french onion soup came out next. The french onion soup was pretty good! The broth was flavorful and the only adjust I'd make would be the cheese type. Lastly, the chicken pot pie was a large portion and delicious as well. You can tell they take pride in their food and desserts. This is a must when you're driving along the highway.

Great little no-frills-diner-roadside-type joint just off of I-81. While traveling through PA, I found myself in need of nourishment in an area devoid of options. Have no fear, Binghams is near! After browsing the extensive menu, I opted for the Alpine Burger as all burgers were $9.99 on Wednesdays. With Swiss and mushrooms, this hearty burger, steak fries, and bottomless coffee had me filled up for hours of more highway travel. Service was welcoming and friendly, I was in-and-out quickly. Just didn't have room to sample any of their wide selection of great looking pies!

Consistently great food. Amazing desserts. You always have to take some home. My favorites are raspberry pie and cream puffs.

Warm, attentive service without hovering...exactly what you want for a special night. We started with the fried calamari and shrimp cocktails. Calamari was golden, tender, zero rubbery pieces, and the shrimp cocktail was huge, fresh, and perfectly chilled. Already a win. For mains, we went all out: Ribeye Steak cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a great sear, Rack of Lamb that was tender and seasoned beautifully, Lobster Crab & Seafood Fra Diavolo with just the right kick, and the Crab & Shrimp Spinach Fettuccine was creamy, packed with seafood, and didn't skimp on the crab. Every plate came out hot and every bite was spot-on. Portions are generous, vibe is cozy but still feels special enough for a 50th, and they even helped us make the birthday moment memorable. No rushed tables, no attitudejust great food and genuine hospitality. If you're in Simpson or driving through, Frank's Place is worth the stop. We'll be back with more friends in tow. Once seated, we were greeted promptly with water and our server took our initial drink, appetizer, and dinner orders without issue. The appetizers arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but after that, the service began to decline. We had to ask twice just to order a second round of drinks. When the entrees arrived, everyone at the table received their meal except me. The server asked if everyone had their food, and I told her that I was still waiting for my Steak Frites special. She checked her order book, said something, and walked away. Unfortunately, no one returned to update us. After waiting another 10 minutes, I encouraged the rest of my family and friends to begin eating so their meals wouldn't get cold. When there was still no update, I flagged down another server, who said they would check with the kitchen. A few minutes later, they returned and said they weren't sure what had happened but that my meal was being prepared. After another 10 minutes passed, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told there wasn't a manager available and that they understood my frustration. By this point, it was nearly 9:30 p.m., my entire table had nearly finished eating, and I still hadn't received my dinner. When my steak finally arrived, it wasn't what I had ordered. I had ordered the NY Strip Steak Frites special but instead received a 10-ounce sirloin. Again, the explanation was simply that they weren't sure what had happened--perhaps another guest had received my order or there had been a mistake in the kitchen. To the restaurant's credit, they removed my steak from the bill. However, what disappointed me most wasn't the mistake itself--it was the lack of communication and customer service. Throughout the entire situation, no one came back to provide updates, apologize directly, or offer a meaningful resolution. In fact, my server never spoke to me directly about the issue after realizing there had been a problem; I learned my meal had been removed from the bill through another member of our party. Mistakes happen in every restaurant, especially on a busy night. What leaves a lasting impression is how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, while the food we did receive was good, the customer service fell well short of what I expected.

Our waitress really was wonderful. She was genuinely concerned that we were satisfied with the experience. Just a short time later our dinner was served. There was an order of eggs, french toast and well done bacon, exactly how my wife ordered it. I had a fantastic hamburger and crinkle fries. I asked for a bourbon burger and it came out perfect. It was hot, tender and really loaded with flavor. Call me jaded, but I was really pleasantly surprised at just how good this meal was.
