Good food, good service. Local to Dalton. Next to I81. Reminds me of an older diner.

When driving home on route 81 north I turned to Yelp for help on choosing where to stop to eat. Yelp didn't let me down as usual. This little home diner is right off route 81 so not much of a diversion to get right back on. Walked in and it has a counter and a few tables and booths. This was in between lunch and dinner at about 3:00 so it wasn't crowded. I was amazed at the prices on the menu because it was so reasonable. My sister & I both got the meatloaf dinners with real mashed potatoes and a side salad. It was good home cooked food with decent portions. Of course didn't eat it all because saved room for pie. I got the blueberry crumble pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was so good! The ice cream is homemade also from a dairy down the street. The service was excellent also. If I'm traveling route 81 out of NY I will definitely make this a stop. read more

Everything about this place is 5 stars. Everytime I drive north south from DC to Albany I stop here for lunch. The food is excellent quality, service is friendly and fast. It's full of friends and family and so quite lively and comfortable. At every table you will see smiling happy people. Every time I've come it has been packed, but there's always a table freeing up. Either everyone driving by knows about it, or it's a local favorite. I'll be back again soon! read more

This place had a high yelp review so we decided to stop for lunch. The atmosphere is very simple but it's very welcoming . They were down a waitress today, but the woman taking care of everything did great. Husband ordered a hamburger and I ordered Texas Weiner. One thing to note on the Texas hot it was actually half a hotdog or a very small hotdog. I will look at the menu again, but I don't think anything was noted about it being small. It was absolutely delicious and the price was fair but I was expecting a full hotdog. At first, I thought the hotdog had been split so it would lay flat and then double stacked on the half a hotdog roll, which I was kind of excited about last bread... But that was not the case. The fries were great. Marty sent back the iced tea, but they didn't question it and he got a Dr Pepper instead. It is obvious that people enjoy coming. People are talking to each other. People know each other. It seems like a place people like to be. I don't regret coming. read more

This is a nice small place. They treat you like family, there is a sign that says "enter as strangers and leave as friends". You can definitely see that their customers service is on point. Food came fast! Small neighborhood restaurant. Lots of people there on a Sunday. Very loud!! It made it impossible to carry on a conversation, but you're there to eat anyway not talk. We had breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, and I tried the French toast, home fries, and bacon. It was typical small town diner food. Like why you would make if you were eating at home, but you didn't have to cook and you didn't have to do the dishes! Sweet!! Also, the menu shown in the pictures here is not what we saw when there. The only things we saw were breakfast (served all day on Sunday) and lunch. There was no dinner menu. But that may have been because their Sunday hours are only until 2pm so they don't really have dinner service. read more

Just off the main highway (exit 201 off 81), on the way down to Pa, this is a nice little breakfast /lunch spot. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere. Clean! I only had a grilled cheese but it was hot, fresh and not at all greasy. Good strong fresh coffee. One gripe, breakfast stops at 11 which is a shame as many of us like an all day breakfast. Came in for a quick lunch and I must say the food was delicious. It's right off the freeway so good location. The staff was so friendly and welcoming and nice. Saw it on Yelp and decided to try it because my husband wanted a steak and cheese sandwich. We got the menu and it wasn't on there, but the waitress was more than happy to accommodate his request. The bread was nice and soft and had plenty of meat. It was a good portion. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes and those were filled with so much chocolate chips she was in heaven! They were good. They have so many homemade desserts that we decided to leave with some cookies especially since they were only $.50 a piece. Delicious hole in the wall, easy on and easy off of Route 81 in Pennsylvania. We had grilled cheese, onion rings, a BLT and pirogies at our table. Grilled cheese was standard fare, onion rings were outrageously good and crunchy, BLT was delicious with yummy thick bacon, and my husband liked his pirogies quite a bit. We ordered chocolate chip cookies to go, and will eat those soon (they look and smell delicious)! Clean, nice folks, great prices, and an unassuming location (we probably would not have gone in if it weren't for Yelp). Highly recommend! read more

Came here for the pierogies - our friends were talking them up so I was prepared to be disappointed but still play along and act impressed. I don't eat a lot of carbs so I was also prepared to eat a couple of bites and pass the rest over to my husband who, at 6'3" / 160 lbs, can still eat most people under the table. Fortunately (or unfortunately, as my waistline compels me to amend) they were delectable. My husband looked longingly at my empty bowl as I scooped the last buttery bit of the last pierogie into my mouth. Don't feel bad for him - he had finished his own bowl 15 minutes before me and was poised like a vulture circling its prey. They are that good. Went to Roba's Family farm and decided to eat outside locally and found this friendly and family atmosphere restaurant.. we are so glad we did, my grandson who said he wasn't hungry ate the chicken barley soup and shared my meatloaf and mashed potatoes.. uh huh not hungry right (he is 7 years old) .. great people and they sell maple syrup yay.. definitely coming here when we go again to Roba's , cheaper and nice homemade food read more
