Arlington Heights Binny's has one of the best Wine Depts I have visited! Their staff members are always knowledgeable, willing to help, and have some of the best "end of bin" offerings. I visited for their "Discover Spring Arrivals" wine event and was thoroughly impressed. They offered almost 50 wines ranging from $10 to $125! They had a great variety of bubbles, rosés, whites, and light reds. They had a complimentary charcuterie board and everyone got 10% off a full price purchase. The event was only $10 and I left having found some new, tasty, go-to's! Highly recommend visiting this location if you are a wine drinker! Ask for Tim or CW as they are the best!! read more

I went to Binny's Beverage Depot to pick up drinks for a dinner that I was going to. I went to the refrigerated beer section to see what was offered. Binny's has a very wide selection. I was excited to see that they had Not Your Father's Root Beer. I have not seen this for a while. And it was on sale too, even better. I got it and left without too much hassle. This is my go to liquor store. They have a super friendly staff that takes pride in their work. Everyone from the front desk to the check out serves with a smile. They are quick with customer service and make you feel welcome. I am a whiskey guy. Special shout out to Todd, Ryan, & Jordan. They are always very helpful in suggesting recent releases and specials that they are running. If liquor stores are looking to up their game they should come in and take notes from these guys. Christina is my go to when I'm looking for a great Pinot selection for my wife. Everyone in this store is above & beyond. When you combine the service and the deals Binny's AH offers there is no reason why you should be shopping at other liquor store. I can't speak highly enough about their service. read more

I recently went to Binny's in Arlington Hts and the liquor guy (Jordan) will only sell allocated bourbon to his friends. I asked him a question about allocated bourbon and he told me to go to my local Binny's and shop from them. He didn't have anything for me. I watched other guys ask him and he would bring bottles from the back wrapped in Binny's bags so no one could see what it was. Horrible practices at this store. All other Binny's will sell you anything if they have it (limited 1 per customer). Jordan should not be allowed to play favoritism to his friends. read more

Was waiting in a single line for next available clerk and a woman was walking down the aisle in front of me. I motioned with my hand the line behind me but i heard her say she wasn't going to let someone tell her where to go and proceeded to go behind the person that was checking out. I went up to her and told her I did not appreciate her butting in line, then one of the clerks said, each line is separate. I said that is not what I've been told, at which time she looked foolish. Well Binny's was my go to place until I learned they no longer reward customers for their loyalty. No longer do you earn points on everyday purchases unless it's on wine of champagne. No reason to dedicate my purchases to this chain when I have so many other options closer to my house that do in fact reward me for my purchases. read more

This place has almost everything you could want to drink. The selection is amazing from the wine, beer and liquor. I really like how they categorize each aisle and there is plenty of room to walk around. Disclaimer...this is the first Binny's I have ever been to so I would assume they are all similar in layout and stock. However for my first time this location is really nice. The mix a match beer selection is awesome for under $10 bucks. Oh and they have the expensive stuff and they sell cigars. The liquor gift boxes are nice and a lot to choose from if you are looking for a gift to bring to a holiday party. Only complaint is that they didn't have the limited release Budweiser 1933 Repeal Reserve Amber Lager...the Budweiser website had it listed as having it in stock. Saturday Nov 16th 2019, the Que Syrah, Syrah wine club checked out the Thanksgiving Wine Tasting at the Arlington Heights Binny's. As we stopped by our first table, we were spotted by wine manager Becky Wait. She worked her way down the aisle, and gave us a warm greeting (very nice). This wine tasting was amazing... Ten Tables! Whatever you liked, it was there... Sparkling, Whites, Rosés, Reds, and even a table with just Port wines (best saved for last). This store is less than a year old, so everything is bright and shiny, bright as sunshine. They now have a glass enclosed classroom, and I look forward to attending some of them in the "Off Season" If you have not yet attended one of the Binny's Wine Tasting Events, you are missing something special. And all you need is a Binny's card to get it FREE. Although I can go to Binny's stores closer than Arlington Heights, I like to come to this store because of Becky. I was in Illinois when I decided to stop by this place. Prices were good and great selection.

I love this Binny's. It is huge and they have a great selection. I love the make your own pack of craft beers. It seems like endless aisles of booze in here. I could just be feeling a little deprived as lately the only liquor store I have been in (besides my recent visit here) is the BC liquor store in Whistler, but I still think this is really a nice store. There are only two possible drawbacks and one is personal. First, they do not carry Reed's Ginger Beer, but they do have Dog n' Suds Root Beer. Does anyone use Root Beer in a cocktail? (I think they should carry the Reed's instead.) Second, it is not the cheapest liquor store. I don't have a huge issue with this due to both the large selection and the fact they have cool things like a way to chill bottles before you leave the store. I was really happy to see a Binny's again (and the Ginger Beer is available at the nearby Trader Joe's), so I am giving it a 5 star rating. I think it is one of, if not the, best liquor store in the area. read more

Good selection of alcoholic beverages at good prices. This is one of the earlier locations in the area, which shows a bit in smaller overall store size and a slightly dated look. However, it still has a selection of the popular wines, beers, spirits, and other drinks -- though not a good selection of rarer items and less choice of highly discounted items than the the larger Binnys in the areas. You'll almost always find items here for cheaper than Walmart, Target, Jewel, or Mariano's though. Items are also typically accompanied by ratings or descriptions which help to guide you through purchases although there is knowledgeable staff throughout the store who can help guide you in your purchases. Every time we come back to AH, Husband wants to take a trip over here to see what he can see. They have a huge selection, and have some great beers. They have cold cases, a few condiment shelves, and an entire part of the store I've never been to (as in, we only look at the beer and hard liquor). Speaking of hard liquor, there's a great selection here too. If I drank everything, and had a lot of money, I would never go home empty handed. The staff is nice, mostly helpful, and keeps the store clean and well-stocked. read more

This is the largest chain in the area, and at the least, their selection is fairly extensive and and their staff generally nice and helpful. Having said that, in my opinion this location seems to be the exception, particularly concerning the 'help,' for that, it is not. If I really wanted to buy some alcohol of any kind this store is definitely my go-to just because they probably have the best selection I mean, the grocery stores have great selection of beverages but the selection in this store is different and definitely better. They have literally a wide selection of different alcohol in any kind and everything I could wanted and I could even ask for is always available. It is kind of a big store for beverages but it is easy to find anything because everything is well-organized and separated to its kind. The staff in here is also friendly and helpful and each time I would feel lazy looking for a particular product, I would just ask a staff that would gladly help and also knowledgeable about the products they have which is really nice. The prices of each if fair and reasonable and almost the same with the prices of alcohol on grocery stores and they do have sales on certain products from time to time. read more

I responded to a promotion emailed to me that also featured a coupon. The ad even posted bottle counts for the various wines (all available). I stopped to shop and the stock did not exist. They had neither of the wines I wanted despite the info in their promotion! The manager explained they were waiting for delivery. Seriously? Bait and switch? Incompetent? A year later and I still love this Binny's. When the beer and wine staff recognize me I am torn on my emotion of feeling happy or that maybe I frequent too often. If you're looking for wine of any kind - ask for Michael. Let him know your budget and be prepared to be taken on a ride. I'm giving them 4 stars for this location based on past experience in their old location a few doors down in the same strip mall. They recently moved to the old HH Gregg location, which is right between Trader Joe's and Chuck E Cheese. Not a good move, guys. On a Saturday afternoon, one shouldn't have to fight for parking with patrons of a second tier grocery store and a giant rat serving up lousy pizza to 5 year olds. But that is what happens. I sense this will hurt traffic in this location. As for their selection of wine and beer, its always been good but lately (again, since their move) I notice a smaller collection of craft beers and a wine selection that is not as robust as the old place. Their prices are still very good, actually better than their competition save for Costco. But it seems there is a shift to focus on hard liquor/spirits and not as much on beer and wine. And since I don't drink the hard stuff, well...... The staff is excellent. Very knowledgeable, always available to answer questions. But they need to get some of the ambiance back from the previous place, and bring back the wine selection they had before they moved. read more

I mainly purchase sake here (very big selection) and decorative vodka bottles for birthdays such as skull and their special edition absolut bottles. The selection and prices are usually very good. The staff is extremely helpful, and if one staff member does not have a good answer for you, they will make sure to find one that does. Came to this Binny's to get some alcohol. Binny's is by far the best place to go to pick up any kind of adult beverage you may need. Much like their slogan, "if we don't have it it must not be worth drinking", you can't deny this. We came here looking for some Hopothesis but they didn't have any. Will not be going back to purchase craft beer at this Binnys but maybe not the entire franchise. Beer guy at this place hordes all of the good stuff for his friends and only sells to who he wants to. Says he won't go on Twitter because it encourages mooches. Guess he doesn't want to get the good beer into everyones' hands only who he think "deserves" it. Asked if they had Surly's Abrasive in-stock as I saw another customer walking out with a 4-pack. Tells me they are "sold out". See another guy come in 5 minutes later as I'm still browsing and low and behold, he gets a 4-pack of Abrasive that I see when I'm checking out. I love their huge selection but I dont like it how sometimes they card everyone and sometimes they only card the one paying. I went in there with a friend and I didnt have my id and I was given a hard time and I wasnt paying....the next night I went in with my spouse and they didnt ask for my id at all....Im 31 year old. I really love Binny's, all of them are great but I especially appreciate the Arlington Heights store. They have enormous selections to choose from. I've shopped here to load up on beer, wine, liquor, and even a few bar accessories for ALL my party needs. The staff is quite friendly, super attentive to my requirements, and I especially like the wine tastings (well, all the tastings, really). I always seek out Michael when looking for a particular wine and I've never been disappointed. He'll ask what I'm looking for, what price point, and he'll provide a few suggestions along with a brief description of the region, flavor, and finish. Whatever he suggests, I've enjoyed it!
