This place is great. People are friendly, good selection of cigars and comfy seating. They have a nice patio for the spring and summer as well. The only two things I would improve are more parking (but not sure how exactly they would do that...maybe have an agreement with one of the businesses next door or across the street) and upgrading their smoke eater/vent situation. It's not terrible by any means, but just my 2 cents. Anyway, so thankful the new owners came and re-opened this place! read more

I went here today because I was waiting for my tire change and met the wonderful owner, Eddie. This was my first time purchasing a cigar and Eddie was very gracious to take time and talk about the cigars, and answer any questions I had. Awesome place and a great experience. Heather was person working when we came and she is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I am not a experienced cigar smoker and she helped me pick out one that would be easy on my palette and not to harsh. It had a very smooth sweet taste which was very pleasant. The place is super clean and very well taken care of. They don't serve alcohol but it's a BYOB and they also have menus of places that will deliver food which is very cool. They have tons of seating it's very grown and sexy with the leather chairs. It's an awesome place to just come hang out with some friends and chill. Cigar lounge that gives you the true experience. The selection is amazing and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. Walked in with my wife to check out the place because we always drive by it; however we are not really cigar people so we figured let's just look around. Once we walked in we were immediately greeted and given Hello's from everyone there. Then Heather gave us a full run down of the place and different types of cigars. Gave us some great recommendations and we decided to enjoy a nice Acid Blonde in the lounge. There were a few people enjoying a cigar and it was early afternoon. They have a nice indoor area and outdoor patio. They don't sell liquor or food but you can bring some with you or order food from a near by place. Even if your not a cigar aficionado you have to check this place out and it's not just for the "Boys" because women love a good cigar also. Next time I'm bringing the Bourbon and cognac. read more

Very nice cigar lounge. My brother got me started on these and I've visited a few now over the past year or so. This is one of the nicer ones. TVs and sound system were very good for watching the Bulls and Blackhawks games. The patrons and the atmosphere was overall very good and Ron who I would assume is the owner was very helpful and friendly. He was great at helping my friends and I pick out the right cigar last night. I would definitely go back. Heads up, if you're driving southbound on Rand, it's the parking entrance immediately after the Wendy's exit. Maybe because it was dark but I drove into the Wendy's parking lot by mistake. Luckily it connects to Havana Joes in the back of the lot and I didn't have to exit back into the street. read more

This place is amazing! I've been coming here for a while, but it has definitely gotten a lot better recently. The lounge feels warm and just a good place to be. A come in a stranger and leave as a friend kind of place. The new gentleman behind the counter was one of the most knowledgeable people I've ever met in my life. You could just feel the passion he has for the industry and cigar life as he talks to you. He suggested a few brands that I haven't tried before and they were beyond great. I checked this place out about a year ago or so and really wasn't impressed. Their selection wasn't that great with unknown cigars and higher prices. The staff was friendly, but didn't seem that knowledgeable. However, under new management, things have really turned around. I've had a few meetings here recently and I have to say that I really enjoy coming here. The selection is better, the prices are competitive, and Harry has become a go-to guy for recommendations, even for an avid smoker like myself. In addition to a comfortable lounge, they have a private, open and covered heated patio, which I have yet to find anywhere else. I'm glad I gave this place another chance. read more

Surprising discovery in a burbs! Visited Havana Joe's tonight as a reference of a friend. As you pull up to a parking lot, you feel cigars' aroma in the air. The place has a large walk-in humidor with an excellent selection of cigars. As we walked in, we were welcomed by the shop owner, who provided recommendations on the cigar choices. It took me few minutes to walk around, check out cigar's choices, and I still have plenty to discover on the shelves. Place has comfortable seating inside and outside, large TV's to watch a game or news. I noticed grill and fire pit outside. I generally don't like to be in an enclosed smoking lounges due to lots of smoke inside and after few minutes it feels like being in a barrel filled with smoke. I was very pleased that air circulation at Havana Joe's is effective to circulate air inside the room to remove smoke and still have plenty of oxygen to breath. Prices within the average, and reasonable. Overall, the place is an excellent find, will definitely be back soon. read more
