Beware of BIOLIFE ;-( Appears they think they're better than any other plasma collection company. BioLife can go FUCK OFF! BioLife - Needs to seriously educate their staff! I was checking out BioLife on May 14th, told has to be 7 days from last visit to CLS was May 11th, told to return on May 18th. Spent 3+ hours becoming a new member at BioLife, after the full exam, getting drained and told to return on Wednesday 20th as that would be 2nd in 7 days. I return to BioLife on 20th, told I'm still popping up in system at CLS, so return on 22nd today. Now, told that because I have popped up 2 times as another center, I'm band from BioLife for every!!! That's there rules, not anyone else's rules. So I have only gave plasma once in 7 days (Monday to Monday is 6 days) but, because I checked in on 20th and the 14th (gave nothing, no blood test or plasma), just checked IN, I CAN'T go to BioLife Plasma every again! Staff was rude. The operation was disorganized. The entire facility seemed dirty and shady. If I'm going to have a needle shoved into my arm I need to be treated as something other than cattle at auction. I had an appointment for 9:00. Finally, at 9:30, I was told I would be there 3 and half more hours. Rec Cross has you in and out in an hour. It's clean and I've always been treated kindly and with respect. They have a hidden list of things that will disqualify you from donation among them of questionable nature is if your on opioids at all for pain care. What was not Ok and what is discriminatory is if you have a history of mental illness being told they require you to produce a letter to prove your stabe to give plasma. This facility is so understaffed. I waited 3 hours for a physical. I never had anyone tell me I couldn't go outside and get my water bottle. I went outside to get it and Dina refused to allow me to donate and then told me that I should've read the sign on the wall. Prior to this happening, I overheard her call a black man an ape. I used to come here frequently but then in 2021 the wait got longer and longer so I stopped going and started going to KED. One day I decided to just go back to Biolife since it was closer. This all changed one particular day. I got home and felt like I normally did after donating by the next day I was on the phone with my mom and told her I would call her back and rushed to the bathroom and started vomiting. It wasn't a big deal I thought maybe I just had too much water since I tend to drink a lot of it in the morning. I went about my day feeling decent, I got gas in my car and started feeling nauseated. I got a snack my body seemed like it didn't want it. I got to my destination and that's when things got worse. I started vomiting anything my body took. Water, food, Powerade you name it. Even when I stopped eating and drinking I would just feel sick to my stomach. I went home and just rested, my mom is a nurse she tried to think about what was going on. Since I couldn't keep anything down for FOUR DAYS I almost ended up in urgent care so I could get some IV fluids but my body finally accepted liquids. When I finally have the strength and feel better I go back to Biolife and it says I can't donate. I get put in the room with the nurse and she asked me how I felt on Friday the day I last donated. I said I felt like I always do and asked why. She then proceeds to tell me YOU DIDN'T GET ANY SALINE LAST VISIT. donate. I stared at her in disbelief and told her I was sick for days due to dehydration (which multiple medical people said would explain it) I find this highly unprofessional when they found out I didn't get any saline I should have been contacted right away told what to expect or told to come in and get my saline. It probably wasn't even out the door when they noticed I didn't get it and just marking it on my file was irresponsible and I could have ended up in the hospital! Now thanks to them I'm paranoid to do any plasma donation not even with the 100x more professional KED, I'm scared to eat or don't take more than a few bites because I'm afraid I'm just going to throw it up. So thanks for the unprofessionalism and possible eating disorder. If you're going to donate plasma I suggest going to KED they are actually paying attention. read more

This place is terrible. Tried calling day after day and no one ever answered. In 2024 you shouldn't need to drive all the way to a business, that's inconveniently located far away from everything, just to get basic information. Their employees take forever to do any task . The nurse said I couldn't donate after all others approved because I have tattoos. None of them being in the way, she just automatically said no even though I've donated with them before. Some people depend on businesses like this and when they spend their last few dollars on gas to drive there just to be turned down over an issue that could have been solved over the phone. It's so infuriating and it shows why people don't like going there. You almost always find more bad reviews than good ones for BioLife. Please fix the issues you've been having for years. read more

Worse service ever! The staff stand around talk and laugh to each while the lines get longer and multiple beds are available. They don't care about other people's time management. My appointment was at 8:50am it took 3 hours just for me to get to a bed then another 30 minutes just to get stuck by the needle. I got there at 11::00 for my first visit. Went through the whole physical and questions got in line to donate at 12:45 stood in line until 2pm finally got called to a chair for donation to be told that they could not find a vein in both arms so I was not allowed to donate and was not compensated at all. Been going here ever since they've opened; service was much better before COVID - the staff appeared to be better trained and more professional, compared to how it is now. Waiting times, now, can be atrocious and I usually walk out if I've been sitting in Orange for over an hour and just return the next day - I believe Tuesday afternoon is the worst time to go, if you're wanting to donate as soon as possible. There are still plenty of good, conscientious technicians, whom I trust to take care when it comes to sticking a needle in my arm (which is why I'm giving this 3 stars), but there are a few who seemed a bit apathetic and will jam the needle into you, making the experience less pleasant. I don't know if they're less experienced or just treats this as a regular job rather than a medical job, requiring care. BioLife plasma in douglasville is the worst plasma donation center you can go to they are understaffed so badly and they are slow as fuck and unprofessional I got here at 1:50 pm and I'm just leaving at 6 pm just for them to tell me I couldn't donate because my "veins are too small and they couldn't find it" which is so untrue my sister is a licensed phlebotomist and she found my vein within a minute of me getting in the car. This isn't a good place to donate. I drove 45 min to get to this plasma center. The way they manage new donor onboarding takes several hours. The last step was an exam with a nurse. After this insanely long investment of time I was told I wouldn't be allowed to donate because I have ptsd. I've donated at 2 other companies in my lifetime & ptsd has never been a reason to be deferred. I asked why this was the case - I was told it's because "there will be needles and blood" - seriously?!? I'm an RN. I'm donating plasma. Of course there will be needles & blood. So I have gone to BioLife several times to donate plasma. The last time they had to adjust the needle four times. The last guy jammed it up into my arms so hard it hurt badly and the next day my arm was all bruised up! I had big bruises so I called to see if I can donate the second time where they really pay you some money and they said no you cannot donate with those bruises on your arm. They did the damage to me and enabled me not to be able to donate the second time. So I showed up for my 3:00 appt and arrived at 3:03 and was quickly told by a girl up front with neon pink hair that I was late and could not donate, ummmmm 3:03, so when i show up early I am told you cant check in until your appt time! For heaven sake I guess I need to be there on the dot. Reed was the manager on for that day (Snellville location) and he said he would take care of me and allowed me to donate, he was super professional and repeatedly apologized for the rude employee up front! At first, they were putting the pulse cuff on me and I told them but they wrote me up and Mikaela the manager attacked me and made me feel uncomfortable. Then I was able to talk to Kevin and Nurse Jennifer and they found oflut that they should use the long cuff on me. Yesterday I came and my pulse was supposedly high and I got deffered. I went to the doctor this morning and they said nothing is wrong with my pulse. Now, one of the nurse is telling me that I can't donate at all but my pulse was 96. Why do they keep on doing this to me? I am so disappointed. I remember the 2nd week I donated here Someone squirted my blood on the blood pressure machine and on the table and waited last minute to clean it up though I insist. I have seen bandaids underneath the area on the bed that you lay on with blood. When I tell them to clean it up, they say that they will get to it soon it's nothing major. I do not have any heart problems and they insist on deferring me. I am 69 years old. I called to see if there were any age restrictions & was told no as long as we're in good health. I went 2x because my iron level was low & spent 2 hrs there. After my husband spent 3 hrs there he was told he'd need a form filled out by his dr before going any further. This should have been explained immediately when they took our info instead of making us go through this process. read more

I received a coupon to return. I had a bad experience as a new donor in Sept. There were 10 people in line ahead of me. As soon as I got to the chair, I was told I could not donate because the water had shut off. I asked for an ETA, and was told that nobody knew. I asked for an upload on my card being it was no fault on my behalf. The upload request was Rejected. Appointment was 4:50.
