Wow! I had an adverse reaction, this is well cautioned in paperwork that you sign, and in the haste of caring for me the whole staff did EXCELLENT! From the nurse Shane to managers to a new guy to my ladies who were techs. Especially those young gals. Calm and quick and professional in spite of the urgency required. I stayed a long time afterwards to ensure alls well then finally left. I ended up calling EMS as I became dizzy and nauseas again within about ten minutes. Received more fluids and little bit of antiemetics and was almost back to normal within a few hours Still tired but thankful for how well Biolife staff played together ! read more

I'm sure the workers I encountered were just having a difficult day, but the technicians behind the counter were talking bad about several different donors and coworkers in front of me, and it was very uncomfortable. I also had to speak with a nurse who made me feel guilty for having medical issues outside of my control, and criticized me for coming in to check my eligibility to donate. read more

I visited the BioLife center today for a donation appointment. During intake, I felt uncomfortable with the conduct and attitude of a staff member nurse named Roberta. Bedside manner is an important part of healthcare, and unfortunately this interaction negatively impacted my experience. Everything else during the visit was smooth and other staff members i interacted with were kind and professional. It was unfortunate I wasn't able to continue today because I did not feel comfortable having Roberta physically touch me after being verbally antagonized. I was repeatedly asked questions I already answered, and her communication style made me increasingly uncomfortable and anxious. When deferral was mentioned, I no longer felt comfortable continuing the physical exam with Roberta and politely requested another nurse. When that request was denied, I chose to leave rather than escalate the situation. As a prospective donor, I would recommend exploring all available plasma donation centers in the area before making a decision. read more

There's "always something" going on at this location. The reviews of technicians yelling across the center is correct and happens daily. This time i was given a blanket by the nurse and they put it on me, covering my arm. Then they came over and made big dramatic deal that the blanket was covering my arm and that we "have to stop the donation" - even though they are the ones who did it. The lady told me it was an FDA rule. She sent me over to the nurse and the nurse said she had never heard anything like that before. Just some girl who effed up and trying to save her job by blaming the patient. I hate coming here. Look elsewhere. read more

1. Did questionnaire. 2. Got sweatshirt from car. 3. Came back. 4. Went to get blood pressure, prick for blood, etc. 5. Approached by nurse (Sherry) that came right out of her office once I was approved. 6. She asked if I had been to my car. I said yes to get my sweatshirt. 7. She said I could not donate today. 8. I asked why? 9. She said I'll have the manager explain. 10. Manager (Tyler) said it was FDA rules. 11. I asked Tyler why the FDA did not allow you to return. He said he did not know for sure. 12. I was getting ready to leave & then thought about where in the questionnaire this was listed & asked another employee to ask the nurse to show me. The manager had started helping other donors as the nurse (Sherry) was not helping anyone at that moment. I knew this because I could see her office door open and she was not helping anyone. 13. She told the employee who asked her to get the manager instead of talking to me herself. 14. The manager (Tyler) comes over after about 5 minutes or so because he was helping others. In this time, I realized & thought about what happened. 15. Sherry let me go through the whole process of getting pricked, etc. & then she said I couldn't donate when she already knew I couldn't donate. 16. I asked Tyler why Sherry would let that happen & he said he didn't know. 17. I said I wanted to ask her as I could see she was still not busy. He said he wasn't going to let me, that it wouldn't help the situation & if I did then I wouldn't be able to donate again. 18. He also wouldn't give me her name, the reason I have her name is because I had written a review about her before and how uncaring and rude she was. 19. I realized in this process that a women who is a nurse, let a donor/patient go through the process of being hurt (pin prick) and waited, as she saw me being checked in, then waited until I was headed back to donate, then she left her office & approached me. 20. It was then I realized, she remembers me. Knew that I had put her name in a review & instead of being a "kind & caring, not wanting to harm someone type of nurse" she must revel in the fact watching someone get hurt and use up their time. 21. Tyler would not let me talk to her in person and ask her why. He said it wouldn't help. I asked for her name, he said he protects his employees. How about protecting the donor who needlessly got pricked & used their time to try & help other people. 22. My only recourse is to write this review & hope that Sherry gets some sort of reprimand. 23. How could a caring nurse sit there (and she was sitting in her office, it was 7:30 on a Saturday morning) and usually the plasma place there is a line and a lot of people, but this morning it was very slow. She was NOT busy. 24. She watched, she observed, she remembered me, knowing I wrote a review about her past performance, she let me waste my time, get pricked (hurt), and then pounced. 25 This is a mean, hateful, devious person who should NOT be a nurse. 26. I asked Tyler to get back to me as he said he would talk to her as I wanted to know "Why she waited & let me go through the whole process, then told me I couldn't donate." 27. After multiple times asking him, he said he would get back to me that he talked to her, but couldn't promise anymore than that because they do not share employee information. 30. So ask yourself this ...BioLife has intricate personal information about you, but as a donor you are not allowed to get an employees name that has wronged you & you won't be able to donate anymore if you approach that employee for an explanation. You are also told the manager can make no promises as to if they can give you a reason as to why this happened. He said he would call back & let me know that he talked with her & nothing else. 31. Where are my rights as a donor? Where are my rights not given an explanation as to why the FDA does not allow for a person to go grab a sweatshirt from their car without being escorted, and why didn't SHERRY, tell me right away I couldn't donate? *this should also be posted on the door as you come in. read more

New front desk lady named heather is so harsh with finger pricks and scraps the open cut, every time she raises my long sleeves she pushes my body at force which is unnecessary everytime I come across her she's acts entitled. read more

This is the worst location in human history. Not enough employees and the ones there mess around and are SLOW. Something that other locations get done within an hour, you will EASILY be here 2-3 hours. They also will take more from certain people and less from others, and pay you the exact same, so they are telling certain people that their time is more valuable than others. You will finish your donation and they will sit there not doing anything, your machine will be a green light meaning you are good to go, and they make you just sit there, not like you had anything else to do today. I walked in today and only 2 people were taking patients. 2. There were close to 20 people in line, and they had 2 people. They could not care less about you which in turn makes me not want to donate. Avoid this location AT ALL COSTS, drive the extra distance to another location, you will thank me. The fact the only good review is from 1 person saying 1 nurse is good at poking him should tell you EVERYTHING you need to know read more

Had bad experiences with multiple technicians.. they're either super nice to you or act like you aren't there. Quality of care is very low because staff take all their time talking and yelling to one another throughout the building. They will have conversations with each other from across the room and be yelling past you. There is one technician I actively avoided because she is so rude and doesn't care about you or how you are feeing. She has a super long black pony tail. I know I'm not the first one to complain about her so DO NOT let her poke you or take out the needle because she is so quick, aggressive and messy with it all. I wish I learned her name so I could say it here but I wont be going back. read more

Under staffed and appointments mean nothing. New donors get priority over returning donors making wait times considerably longer. Try elsewhere. read more
