This center told me $100 a donation then after I donated twice started giving me $75 then after I asked about it said they changed the pay after I came but couldn't produce a date or notice of change. 187lbs says $800 a month. Then gave me a number saying it was Corporate office only to find out it was the same Broadway street center in KCMO after she slipped and said she had told me "already" what I hadn't even discussed with her yet getting upset then said yes it is the same center. Signed up through their app, and made four appointments in app. Called the location with questions, and was told corporate made the decision to no longer schedule appointments. So, we're supposed to just stop in at random and hope for the best with staffing and donor levels on any given day? No wonder there are so many complaints about unbelievable wait times. This says a lot about the efficiency of this organization. This is a for-profit company making money on our plasma. They should be accommodating. No-go on this one. read more

I have been selling plasma here for several years and the customer service has declined immensely! The staff seems to do the bare minimum and if a complaint or compliment is given they just shrug it off. I was selling plasma recently and they had some sort of video recording being made. I assume for advertisement purposes. Camera people and actors walked up and down the isle filming no warning or concent from the donors. At one point a staff member walks to the end of the isle to collect the next donor they lock arms and walk to a bed. This is false advertisement! The staff yells next and you walk to the bed they have pointed at. It seems to be understaffed as most places are and there is only one active bay. When I first started coming here there were 4 bays open all the time. I'm just disappointed and think they should do better! I just heard the manager hollering to another employee " nobody wants her man". Very unprofessional! read more

Waited in line for over 3 hours just to be hooked up and then stuck incorrectly, causing me to bleed too much and then have my procedure prematurely stopped. I was still paid out, however because the machine broke down last week on me, I am now deferred for a month. This is ridiculous. They are constantly short-staffed here and most everyone seems to have a poor attitude. read more

This place is horrible! Three hours or so every time you go to donate. Often problems with fights, sometimes donors, sometimes employees, sometimes both. There are a few people who obviously care, most obviously do not! I've been donating plasma for over ten years. Tried CSL for a few months because I moved. The line is incredibly long. The service is awful. The employees are mostly cranky. It's not uncommon at all to be incorrectly stuck. I think they have trouble retaining employees because many of them seem undertrained/skilled, (not all of them though) and they always seem short staffed. They are always way busy but I never saw the other HALF of the room opened a single time the whole time I was there. But had to wait at least an hour every time to even get into a bed to donate. Usually there for three hours for the whole process. Do yourself a favor and drive to a different location... or maybe even company. I'm driving 35 minutes now to go to a completely different company. read more

The staff have always been kind and made donating plasma a smooth process for me. I see them express genuine care for donors and welcome regular donors warmly. Makes me forget it's a large corporate company. Mrs. Debbie was especially helpful. Today she figured out why my donation was going slower than usual and made adjustments. Also, the nurse who helped me on the first day is incredibly helpful in sharing advice for the donation process. Yes it's busy sometimes, but my experience has been a consistent 15-45 minute wait, 45-60 minute donation and red cell return. read more

Was it down here over a decade off and on and this year I had just hit Platinum status and one of the ladies on the floor decided she was going to come over and get in my face while she had a needle still in her hand and I was already donating about to finish to tell me that my conversation was not allowed that I was having with somebody the opposite side of me we were talking to each other.. I was then told when I came back that I had to see the nurse which also means that you have to be delayed and donating anymore now if they had a problem that day they should have said something instead they wait till I come back and donate again to delay my donation because of something their employee did. Have they not already bruised up the inside of my arm prior to this 6 or 6 to 9 months ago after digging and digging and digging I probably would go back anyway but yeah I'm done this time.. read more

I've been standing in line for about two hours now and there are still 10 people ahead of me waiting to be seated to donate. It's not worth it unless you go as a new donor. After the wait it equals about 15 dollars per hour if you return. I would be better off getting a job at McDonald's. read more

every time I have gone, there has been excessive wait times between 2 and 3 hours before even getting to donate. they are always understaffed and everyone has an extremely poor attitude. it almost seems like it your white they don't talk but if your black they'll talk and be laughing. kinda weird, I've noticed that a lot. they don't ever have any promotions going on which doesn't even rly make it worth your time. everyone is extremely rude there in the front. However once in the bed to donate everyone seems rly nice and caring. they actually care about you once your there. That's the only reason the get even 1 star. The name is CSL plasma. I read the prior reviews both of which were 1 star, and decided to give it a shot anyway. It's very busy in there! Expect your first visit to take at least 3 hours! You'll watch a video, read thru a binder full of explanations and disclaimers, go through a little onboarding process where they put all your info into a computer, meet with the on site physician for a brief physical and then you'll be screened for iron deficiency, fever etc. When you finally do make it to the donation floor expect the actual process of donating plasma to take 40 to 60 minutes. Being properly hydrated and eating a low fat meal the night prior and the day of helps speed things up. The receptionist was horrible, but then given the people coming in all day long I'm guessing she had steeled herself long ago to an "I don't care, those are the rules deal with it" attitude. Some of the others I encountered thru the process were much better, including the physician (Hector was great!!) and the technician who did the IV (Tito, also great!!! I'm a hard stick, and he found a vein right away). Word to the wise, Apparently Tuesday and Wednesday morning things go much faster than later in the day, or later in the week. The pay isn't great, but the cause is worthwhile if you have time and need a few extra bucks. read more

This place is terrible as far as their lack of communication and educaiton. The lady at the front desk does not adequately explain things. They told me that the first draw wasn't good but they didn't tell me on the first day. Instead they told me after my 4th visit. The 2nd and 3rd visits, they kept telling me to come back in two days. I did and then it wasn't until the 4th visit that they said my veins were too small although I was overly hydrated if anything having drank two gallons of water all day the day before and drinking some gatorades and eating healthy foods. The front desk lady was rude. I just think that if they communicate better then it makes it not a waste of time for anyone. read more

Holy shit. This place has the right address, but it now goes by CSL Plasma. All I can say is, I walked into a room of about 60 people who seemingly don't know what size of clothing they wear, and got stopped on the street in question of "where [I] work at!" and then promptly asked for a ride to INDEPENDENCE. I'm sure most people on Yelp don't really give a shit about donating plasma, but you know, I moved a week before my new job starts, some extra cash would be nice. This place pays you $30 if you're under 150 pounds. Why did I waste my gas? I think I parked illegally, as well, because nothing makes sense on Broadway Street, but luckily got out of there fast enough to go unnoticed. Other than the people who stopped me on my way out, as well. Anyway, you're better off selling your shit on craigslist than going here. I agree with the above statement. I'm in college and needed a a few extra bucks to get through the week. Although, I do love going to Westport, you run in to some interesting people. Growing up in Kansas City I have never felt so uneasy as to even go near the CSL building. I felt as if I needed to avoid eye contact at all cost and I should have carried a knife with my hand on it the whole time. I didn't even open the door because the line was out the door. The absolute worst experience I've EVER had at ANY establishment. I went for the first time and for the vein check the guy just looked at my arm and sent me on my 30 minute drive home. I came back a few months later and they actually check my veins, two people checked them. Everyone I spoke with was rude and unprofessional except the woman that did my physical. When it came to donating, the woman kept moving the needle under my arm causing lots of bruising. When she taped the tube to my arm it moved the needle and nothing was coming out anymore and once they finally notice and try to change to my other arm they put it in a vein wrong again causing too much pressure and more bruising all across my arm. After all that I wasn't even told goodbye or thank you and then I ask where the restroom was and was directed to a door that went directly outside. Once I go back inside to find the restroom, it's disgusting and very dirty. Would not recommend. read more

This place sucks. The staff is always off doing their own thing besides helping the long process move any faster. The staff on the donor floor(the place they stick you and you do the actual donating) are always busy though. There are a few that don't give a crap and will tear your arm up when they go to stick you. Anyway if you need a buck this is the place though. Drink plenty of water. read more

The phlebotomist for the most part are caring, gentle healthcare service workers. There are a certain few who are rude, rough(which giving plasma is not the most comfortable experience anyhow), missing veins(personally I have very large veins), and tend to leave bruises. The signing up in the front is very slow and takes a lot longer than it should. read more

It has a been years since I have been there, the place has really cleaned up and the staff act like they enjoy their jobs! Good experience
