Disappointed with My Donation Experience I recently went to BioLife Plasma Center, and while the staff was polite, my experience was concerning. During my donation, I developed a large hematoma in my arm that has been painful and stiff for several days. When the issue happened, they stopped the machine and said we would have to switch arms, without acknowledging that something went wrong. I understand that bruising can happen, but the size and discomfort of this hematoma felt extreme my arm is hard and lumpy It has been stressful to monitor my arm for any complications. I hope the center takes extra precautions to prevent injuries like this in the future. read more

I came to the BioLife Plasma Center in Rialto as a first-time donor and also needed to complete my physical. My total wait time was about 2.5 hours, which I personally timed. It was definitely a lengthy process, so if you're in a rush, this isn't the place to come. But if you have time and you're not pressed, it's okay. The actual plasma donation itself took about 45 minutes, which wasn't bad at all once everything finally got started. One thing I highly recommend is making sure you have a promo code or voucher before you go. New donors can get $100, and if you're a returning patient but considered a relapse donor, definitely use a relapse donor promo code. (And if you have one, let me know lol!) Overall, the facility was clean and the staff was friendly. The long wait was the main downside, but everything else went smoothly once I was finally seen. read more

I went to donate plasma at BioLife in Rialto, and I had such a great experience that I wanted to leave a review. Even though they told me the whole process could take around three hours, the entire visit -- including giving the plasma -- took about 2 1/2 hours. The team was thorough, efficient, and the energy in the building was honestly wonderful. Plasma donation can be intimidating, and I've been to places where the nurses weren't the friendliest -- but that was NOT the case here. Everyone was kind, patient, and made me feel completely comfortable. They didn't treat us like cattle; they treated every donor with gratitude and respect, which really stood out to me. When it was time to donate, the initial nurse noticed my veins were extremely small and she didn't want to risk hurting me. Instead of just turning me away, she asked for a second opinion, which I really appreciated. Both nurses then brought in a supervisor, who was incredibly kind, calm, and thorough. She's really the one who made the decision -- she took the situation to the big boss, advocated for me, and they all came back together to make it happen. The second nurse was able to get my vein on the first try -- I didn't feel a thing -- and because of the supervisor's help, I was still able to donate even after they initially thought I couldn't. The staff was nice but when I went to use my card with my money on it my card was empty no funds but 10 bucks when I reported that my card has been compromised they sent me a statement it showed that I went to a place called MORE TO LOVE DERM in Long Beach I never heard of this place and then another place in RAPID CITY I never heard of this city before so now I'm trying to get my money back that's messed up I think it's an inside Job I never got chance to use my card read more

Honestly I'm confused by these reviews. I started donating after not doing it for a few years in January. After the new donor process, I've been in and out in under an hour every donation except one. Haven't had issues with the staff at all and the needle sticks have been all but painless. The appointment process makes it so easy. So yeah, can't speak for others but it's been exactly what I hoped. read more

Go to CSL or grifols. Never have any issues at those places. Biolife are liars. They sent me a donation schedule to follow in order to make $800 in 4 weeks. Followed it to a T. Never skipped a day. After my fourth donation they only sent me $90. So I checked my new donor schedule and they changed it to $700 strike one. Also this Mastercard they give you is bogus as heck. For example Your balance will say $30. Try to buy something for 20 bucks and the transaction will decline. I've been embarrassed multiple times trying to use that bogus Mastercard. Strike 2&3. Don't go here. Worst donation center in the region read more

Went in to BioLife today and definitely was not ok with the way REINA was handling my sister was so rude very careless and just kept staring us down not cool. We are not in the streets. Very unprofessional I have been coming here for over a year never had an issue until today. Not sure if she had a bad morning but should not be taking it out on the patient. read more

They close at 3 pm they were busy they excepted patients up until 3 pm. Then they give you the option to try to donate if not by 3:10 pm they send you home . Last donation should be at 2 pm. This is extremely unprofessional . read more

Hopefully you do not have to interact with Chuck. which I found out was a manager.He was upset the staff was accommodating my comfort. He turned a small situation into a big issue, stated i was not truthful on my questionnaire and suggested that I go to a competitor. All to display power, which he asserted by stopping my donation. Wasting the supplies and my partial donation. Definitely did not make me feel like valued customer. Had not had any issues prior to his bad day. The staff and nurses work very hard. Probably worst plasma center I've been too , machines are always having issues, new people messing up on machine ... I've only went here a month just to get my first 8 donation out the way but u don't get paid new donors pay if you don't complete the donation within a certain amount of time ... I did 7 donation and they deferred on my 8 appointment and because I had to go my car and get my charger they send me home and I came back on my next visit to get my 8 donation pay and they didn't pay me a new donor they paid me as retuning donor ...so I was expecting to get 90 on my last one and got $40 then I cam back to do my second donation of the week donation # 9 and I tried to find out why with lady manager and there's no exceptions ... so I get paid 50 on my second donation week ... never got paid my 8 donation pay ... they also give you Mastercard but you can't use all the funds so if you need the money in cash just know ur not getting all of it ... the only plasma center that does that ... card says you have $50 dollars but you can only use 30 dollars in normal transactions any cash back or normal debit transactions will not go through so you think you can have the money in there and you just end looking dumb when ur transactions declines read more

Not worth it. What they dont tell you: 1. It will take approx 3 hrs to get thru new donor processing. 2. I ate breakfast...but after waiting 2.5 hrs the unfriendly nurse "Marilyn" turned me out and said my breakfast wasnt acceptable. It did not help that I ate at 830...and didnt see her until 1230. I dont eat meat and I emailed to ask questions abt the process and had to wing it due to no response days ahead. So my day was a waist. Everyone working there was for the most part nice...but the process is rediculously long pay or not....its just noy worth my Plasma. Dont book sooo many people at once and look for ways to screen people faster. read more

I cannot believe how impressed I am with my experience today. This was my first time going here. I always donate free but I can use the money so I scheduled an appointment. From the moment I walked in the door, to the intake, the blood prick, the physical and the blood platelet draw. The staff was beyond awesome! They worked like a team, lots of smiles and they look like they really like what they do and showed so much care. I felt welcomed and just an overall great experience! Thank you for making me feel the way you did! I went 6/7/23 about 11:30 so triple kuddos to everyone there at that time until about 4 pm! Yes, there is a wait people. But they must do this! They need every bit of info we gave them to make it safe to donate. Safe for the patients receiving blood. I know we love the money aspect, but think of the lives you are saving! FYI they deleted my google review from Friday 3/31/23 so I am reposting it here. Let me just preface by saying when I first started to donate at this location, everything was great. Staff was very attentive, always came by almost as soon as you sat down or when machines were done and always had a lovely/funny conversation during the process. Although it's not everybody's get away, donating is one of my alone time getaways from society. I stopped donating for a good while and I just started to donate again recently. I've just about had it. Lately, staff has been very chitty chatty about the most illogical things. I as a donor see someone having a problem in regards to their machine and staff doesn't attend them until they are done with their silly little conversation. My other issue is I can tell that there is some tension between associates, so for example if a person is working in "color 1" and they beefing with someone in "color 3" and "color 1" person steps away and a donor needs assistance in that lane, they won't attend. BUT if someone in "color 2" is friends with "color 3" they don't hesitate to give them a helping hand. I understand we all have coworkers we don't get along with but purposely ignoring a donor in a different section is just straight up childish behavior. After my recent experience I am quite dissatisfied, I did not need to wait almost 20 minutes to get hooked off the machine when it takes less than or about a minute, while constant staff passed by and ignored cause they decided to talk up a whole storm about their dysfunctional relationships & crappy boyfriends IN FRONT OF ME WHILE MY MACHINE IS BEEPING. I think after my experience today I'm done with donating with Biolife in general. The staff seems to care more about impressing other associates rather than actually doing their work. I don't usually like to do karen-esque activities like leave a bad review but I feel like this review was called for, if you don't like your time extremely wasted, don't bother coming here. read more

Incompetent staff... Came here as a first time donor and everything was fine up until the were checking my veins. The initial consultant said Right arm was good but not the other and she offered to bring in a second opinion. Of course I wanted them to double check because I drove over 50 miles to get here (only appointment available at any location before my new donor promo would expire). So she brings a guy over and he comes up with the opposite conclusion saying my Left arm is good but not my Right. Which one is it?? Because I've never had any problems donating blood or plasma in the past at other facilities. Regardless even though I pointed out how the first lady said the opposite arm was also fine, the second guy says I can reschedule for next week. I ask about tomorrow because of my coupon, and I ask if alternatively they will still honor the coupon next week because that's the reason I drove so far. He said no. I get that it's Christmas Eve tomorrow, but why would BioLife even bother having a redemption code expire that day if nothing is open. Also, if I'm making the extra effort to drive this far, why could the coupon not be honored. Any other place would. It's Christmas and these people have no compassion or common sense. I am originally from El Paso Texas and came to visit my parents , while in Texas I always donate plasma so when I drove by and saw that they had plasma donatins I decided to check it out, it was very fast and easy . (RIALTO LOCATION)What a freaking joke this place is, how is the assistant manager going to clear me saying my veins are good but the nurse says I am unable to donate because I can only use my right arm (since my left is all tatted ) but I'm not a good candidate because my veins aren't 3 inches apart...I'm a emt/phlebotomist and would be able to hit these ropes I have for veins! Forget their $850 promotion SAVE YOUR TIME and go to CSL plasma where they offer $1000 for 8 donations. I have donated with no problems before. When you first donate they treat you very well. Attentive and helpful. Even give you snacks before donating. Seconds day you're nothing but a regular donator and you're not treated as before. Just go in and do your thing. Some days they take long but other times it's quick and easy. The only time where my impression went south was when a female worker pierced my arm wrong and with the needle inside I started bleeding out. Usually my arm heals after a donation within 2 days but ever since this incident it feels like a nipple for the past week and a half. I told a manager but of course shifted the blame towards me that because I donate often I'll get a scar. No matter what I told him that this was the first time happening because she did it wrong he wouldn't believe me. read more

I have been donating plasma for years. This company is new to California. They are opening more and more clinics. Here is the problem they have many new inexperienced phlebotomist (people who stick the huge needle in your arm) they will use you to train them. That means they will stick your vein and do it wrong. This has happened to me 3 of the 6 times I have donated. What this means is : 1. It can be very painful 2. It leaves a huge bruise and a bump injection spot that takes weeks to he al so you have a funky bruise and sore on your arm. 3. Then they will attempt to stick your other arm and if they mess up twice ( which they do) you will have two messed up arms 4. If they mess up they will not pay you more than 20 bucks when you were supposed to get 100. If you complain to the manager you will be told that you can either accept it or not come back. The manager there will be very short and rude to you. The only positive is that it is a nice facility and the pay for the plasma is a little higher than some of the others but not all. Personally I am going back to my previous clinic because of the danger of hurting a vein with inexperienced staff and rude employees. I will take a little bit less money in place of safety and positive polite staff any time. Getting blood work done is serious stuff be careful where you go. read more
