I have been donating plasma for years. This company is new to California. They are opening more and more clinics. Here is the problem they have many new inexperienced phlebotomist (people who stick the huge needle in your arm) they will use you to train them. That means they will stick your vein and do it wrong. This has happened to me 3 of the 6 times I have donated. What this means is : 1. It can be very painful 2. It leaves a huge bruise and a bump injection spot that takes weeks to he al so you have a funky bruise and sore on your arm. 3. Then they will attempt to stick your other arm and if they mess up twice ( which they do) you will have two messed up arms 4. If they mess up they will not pay you more than 20 bucks when you were supposed to get 100. If you complain to the manager you will be told that you can either accept it or not come back. The manager there will be very short and rude to you. The only positive is that it is a nice facility and the pay for the plasma is a little higher than some of the others but not all. Personally I am going back to my previous clinic because of the danger of hurting a vein with inexperienced staff and rude employees. I will take a little bit less money in place of safety and positive polite staff any time. Getting blood work done is serious stuff be careful where you go. read more

It's not as bad as the reviews say. I have been there twice and the only complaints I have are the wait times. I forgot the RN's name but he had long hair and was easygoing/nice. Seems like a hectic work environment. Needle sticks have not been a big issue for me personally. read more

This place rips you off , they fail to tell u in order to get the "New donor payout" u must complete 8 donations within 30 days . They also fail to tell you in order to get the "Referral bonus" u must complete 2 donations within a month . So now my Referer is not getting his bonus either . Horrible who wants to donate for $40? Not me , also they made my hand turn blue with their lack of experience in venipuncture. A needle should never feel uncomfortable. Also they never answer their phones. read more

Takes too long Wait times are forever people are waiting for minutes to hours even while donating. It's frustrating and time consuming and it's funny they state it's 2-4 hours the first time but after it's 90 minutes after that. been here since 9 and it's gunna be 1 shame on this facility for taking forever. Stop chit chatting and do your jobs. If i could give negative scores i would. As far as i know 90 minutes is 1 1/2 not the whole damn day. Hire better managers and staff for it now because it's just going to go down hill as more people come to donate their plasma. They should have a course explaining what exactly you are doing when taking this risk!!! How's it going to affect you in the long run it may save lives but what about your own life!!!! read more

Please DO NOT get Mayra!!! (Purple hair) everytime i have gotten her she "misses" my vein and continues to move the needle in my arm u til it's sore. When she pulls the needle out of my arm it is no where near gentle. You can tell she tries to cover up her mistakes but is overall just bad at her job. My brother went in separately and had the SAME issues with her not putting in the needle correctly. Please do yourself a favor and request anyone BUT her. read more

My experience each time here has been a long wait. Shortest time has been 2 hours. Even going in at 6:30am there's already a line. Which I wouldn't mind so much if it was just because they are very busy, but when you see the employees chit chatting and not trying to get the lines moving, it gets annoying. Very inexperienced and left blood coming out of my arm. They said they didn't enter the vein correctly and my blood wasn't going into the correct spot. They then proceeded to try and stick my other arm and I told them no as this had already happened 2 times before. I called the manager Jake and he said just to deal with it and that's just how it is. When I came in today I was highkey hella skeptical because of the previous reviews, but like maybe they were trippin. Today everybody was incredibly nice, I had a couple girls help me set up as a new donor. Bianca was super nice and so was Clarita. Their system was a little slow today so they were very apologetic but I kept telling them that I was good, I just think they've had run ins with very not understanding and impatient people. My phlebotomist was Melissa and she was also super nice and answering all of my dumb questions about like plasma and what things could be done with the plasma and stuff. They were really busy but I didn't feel like I was waiting too long. They were trying their best to move with what they had. I don't remember the name of the person who did my physical but she was also cool and had short hair. All in all, a good experience for my first time donating plasma. Melissa thought I would be on the machine for an hour or so because it was my first time donating, but because she said I was really hydrated I was done like 20 minutes earlier than she expected. Try not to hydrate too much tho y'all, cuz halfway through I had to pee hella bad lmao Definitely recommend this place. I came in early afternoon and it was chillin. read more

I've been here a few times and on all those times I noticed the assistant manager April not changing her gloves when she's is doing triage which includes poking a persons finger to obtain a blood sample. Today while waiting my turn, I noticed Rosy not changing her gloves in between people but simply rubbing hand sanitizer in between them. This is absolutely disgusting. This is common sense for hygiene given how in depth your questionnaires are. Someone needs to talk to these two employees especially April who's an assistant manager. She's the one who should be encouraging changing gloves constantly. Everyone else is doing a job and is super nice. read more

The lines are ridiculous!! It never use to be like this. The old machines were better!. I was in and out. They need more machines and more staff. It's also harder to get an appt. Rescheduling use to be so easy to do same day different time. Now it gets full even two days before. You have to book wayyyyy in advance. And I go at times when most people are still at their 9-5. This particular facility (Rialto, CA) is small, dingy, and understaffed. After the questionnaire, I waited in line behind 10 other people to get my vitals checked. Them the line to wait for a table had 15 people. Maybe only having appt times available for the number of people that can be accommodated would be better. read more

Wish I read the reviews to this place first, this place sucks. Donate somewhere else had an appointment for 10:15 and came in late and the receptionist I dealt was rude and snobby and turned me away to reschedule while another person came after me with the same appointment time and let him proceed and then blatantly lied to me about it. This company is not about saving lives. They are primarily a FOR PROFIT company that feeds like vampires on the poor. These centers are not for donation they are for transaction purposes. The plasma they take from you is so dearly important. If you repeatedly give donations youll find yourself unwell. The nutrients they take from your Body are then turned into a profit for at least $500 a pint. Nevermind the hours you'll spend there jumping through their hoops and meeting their demands. One of which is they wanted to see my house, the woman that worked there googled earthed MY HOUSE and asked if this was my house. I asked her why and she said "in case they want mail something" gee that's strange that I've been Google earthed and verified on Google maps in case I miss a piece if mail. I definitely do not believe that's the reason they check my address. And I don't believe the people that come here care either. They will do it because they need money. No matter if it's their short end of the stick or not. The fact is that this company is very greedy and invasive of privacy. They profit off of those who need money and that's where they are successful. Unless your like me and thought this place was going to be easy going and why not make a quick 100 dollars pit stop? They want you there for 3 hours the first time. To scan your fingerprints and take copies of your social security card and to Google your house. Lol read more

If you're a 1st timer don't come to this location. I went Saturday 10/2/21 As I walked in I wasn't greeted I stood there like a wierdo waiting to be acknowledged finally someone walks up to me doesn't say hi just aggressively asked if I have had my temperature taken I said no she takes temperature and says you new or returning i say I'm new I give her my ID and social and ask me to wait I waited for about 30 min then she does intake.. as she's doing intake she says wait and she walked away to go grab her lunch from someone and had a personal conversation for about 4-5 minutes. She touched everything without changing her gloves..disgusting! Then she makes you read something out loud which is fine until I get to this big medical word I could pronounce, she seems me trying she then says it I try to say it and instead of realizing I was struggling she just kept repeating it to me until she was satisfied with my pronunciation. Then she takes me back for my veins to be checked. Sooo They wanted me to lay on a chair that someone had just got off of and no one wiped off. (I SEEN THE PERSON JUST GET OFF) he checks my veins and there fine they tell me to wait to get vitals and iron checked. Unfortunately for me after this I couldn't get my heart rate under control because I was starting to have a panic attack. They aren't nice here to make you feel comfortable. I think because you are paid they act like they're doing you a favor which isn't the case YOU ARE DOING THE FAVOR. Anyway the girl who checked my vitals said my pulse was way to high and they couldn't let me donate. I said ok not a problem because I could feel my heart pumping out if my chest due to nerves but this girl has the AUDACITY to tell me maybe loose weight and come back. Crazy! I didn't say anything I just left. I didn't want to make a scene and seem upset for being denied.. I feel like I got lucky to be denied Because the staff is dirty.. I will also be submitting a complaint with BBB and the state board. Don't forget they are injecting a needle in you and touching you. Go somewhere SANITARY that cleans after every person and changes their gloves. The staff just wants to protect themselves and don't care if you get sick we are in a pandemic and ANY medical place should be following OSHA sanitary practices and they definitely are NOT. Plus staff is rude well the 3 individuals interacted with were and unfortunately first impressions are everything. read more

This place is horrible!! Always understaffed!! If it wasn't for the monthly promotion I would pass this place up! So I answered 1 question wrong. The computer doesn't let you go back and correct it. So you just know your screwed. They put you in this separate waiting space to see a nurse to go over your mistake. Surprise there's only 1 nurse. I thought It was my lucky day. No lines. Till I answer the 1 question wrong. Well a half hour later I get seen by the nurse. Once I come out of the office. I see lines everywhere. I asked this young person in charge "Stephanie ". Do I have to go to the end of that line? There was like 10 donors. Of course she gave me this pathetic speech of about being understaffed like its my fault that created the schedule. Each person takes about 40 minutes to an hour. I had to wait some more! 45 minutes later I finally get a bed. This was BS, I should have just been given a pass to the front of the line to continue where I was. Why is that so difficult. Just wasn't fair! I spent an extra 1 here, when it could have been prevented. Zero stars. grade C for this place. Inconsiderate people that don't value the peoples time being waisted. read more

This location is ALWAYS under staffed and only have two areas open. Most of the employees are dry and lack enthusiasm. I've been to other BioLife Centers and unfortunately this one needs corporate training and assistance with their management skills. There are a few genuine employees that love their job but this location overall lacks team work and that leads to annoyed and upset donors. read more

The workers here seem young with inexperienced training . each time i go here there is a delay. Your never greeted. the employees seem unhappy about there employment their. I went to my first appointment the other day and everyone there was so sweet! They made me feel comfortable, they explained the process so it wasn't difficult to understand. You go through a few steps before the procedure but throughout it, everyone I encountered was amazing. ROBYN was an absolute sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable and stayed by my side throughout the whole process due to the fact of me having small veins. She kept working to get the right touch! When she was doing something on the machine she was educating myself as to what was going on so there was so confusion. I will definitely be coming back as everyone was again, amazing! This is a great place and I definitely recommend coming. If it is your first time, I do advise to take a good 2 1/2 hours out of your day for the first appointment as there are a few steps before the actual procedure itself! read more

AWFUL! Hassle is not worth the money that they give to donate. My husband went to donate and was told that the first process would take 2 hours. After three hours of waiting they did the physical just to tell him he couldn't donate because first, he had taken an allergy pill and he couldn't have any medication in his system. They failed to mention this to him before his first visit. Second, he was told he hadn't eaten in a while. He did eat a big breakfast but because it took so long for them to get it together they wouldn't allow him to donate. So he basically wasted 3 hours for them to not allow him to donate. He goes back today to try to donate again and they tell him he can donate but he has to start the process all over again. So he would have had to wait to get a new physical and questionnaire because they FAILED to mention that he needed to go back within a week of trying to donate the first time. So after sitting there and waiting AGAIN he wasn't able to donate. So now that's twice that he's taken time to do this and because they can't communicate properly it's been a waste of time. I would absolutely NOT go to Biolife in Pomona. They basically told him because he has some seasonal allergies at times he's not well. Waste of time. read more
