Today I went there believing I had an appointment only to learn that I made a mistake and scheduled at another location. I arrived here two hours before they open and yet there was staff there working. They graciously came to the door and helped me correct my error. I arrived at the other location in time to complete the donation process. These people are very professional and make this process very easy to do. I highly recommend it!!

Not to mention, the majority of their workers are Phlebotomists and LPNs, which is a far cry from CSL, which employs new workers all time because of turnover, who all too often butcher arms so often they run out of ice packs. I got not one, BUT THREE, hematomas in a row at CSL. They moved around the needle so much it punctured a vein. My entire arm was blue, and right before my wedding. KED is my go-to place now. The are pleasant and professional, and all the ladies and gentlemen starting lines are so careful. The longest I've waited in the past two weeks for vitals was 15 mins. I am now on my 5th donation.

I called back because I was upset and asked for a manager and the person answering said she was a manager and I know for a fact that she's not but she tells me "what do you want me to do?"? I finally got a real manager and she had the decency to apologize but I'm done. Never have I been treated this way at these places.

However it's a little on the small side with just one office it shares the same space as the United Way. I've done a few Flagler College Fair's for this particular Red Cross location and it also provides an awesome ability to be a great place to volunteer for Flager College students as well. They were quick to greet us and very welcoming - they had no issues with the walk in. The location was clean and well-kept. The staff was thorough, but quick with everything so we were there for less than 30 minutes all in. They have private screening rooms for checking your overall health and eligibility. From there they offer you snacks / drinks in order to keep you happy during donation(s). The blood draw room is off to the left when you enter and there are several beds. There are a few TVs and they play mainstream shows that keep you distracted. Overall: A+ Donate if you can! You can help save up to 3 persons with EVERY donation.
