If you are only obtaining services and…read moreare not purchasing an item, make sure they do not charge you sale's tax since sale's tax is only applicable to purchasing a materialistic item. This information can be verified with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration - Publication# 73. I visited Legacy Jewlers to have my wife's rings resized. Upon the initial visit I met with one of the owners, Kevin who was very friendly and was able to assist us with determining the proper sizing of the ring. He mentioned it would take about a week to complete. The cost to resize (1 size down) a gold ring and platinum ring was $120. When picking up the rings I met with the other owner, Nick. He included sale's tax even though CA sale's tax is only applicable to purchasing materialistic items and not services. I explained that CA sale's tax is not applicable to services and he could verify this information with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) which is the CA State Department that administers the Seller's Permit which is required to operate the business. I even offered to show him exactly where this information could be found on the CDTFA website since he had a computer nearby. He declined and said he wasn't changing how he charges customers even though he refunded me the illegally charged sale's tax. It was interesting to encounter a business owner oblivious to the law while declining to learn and apply the law to prevent an audit, fees, and potential Seller's Permit revocation by the CDTFA.

Adrian introduced Darren to us to help with our needs. He listened to what we wanted, stayed within our budget and guided us in making our choice, even when I needed more time. I love the outcome of my eternity rings. They came out as I dreamed of. They made sure the rings came early... actually in time for Valentine's Day, before our anniversary. They called my husband and helped him with a lovely surprise.

Here's an unedited correspondence I had with Terrestra:…read more Hi! My husband, XXXX, bought some Jars Torron cereal bowls for me in 2020 (ORDER #199685). I've noticed that the glaze on two of them is breaking down, exposing the raw ceramic underneath--I can provide pictures. I tried emailing Jars directly but received no response. Do you or they offer some sort of guarantee on the product? I am thinking the bowls are not safe to eat from anymore. Thanks! Cristina Hi Cristina, We are very sorry to hear about the glaze issue. We have sold thousands of Jars bowls and plates over 20 years and have not heard similar reports. There may be an unusually harsh combination of dishwasher chemicals and hard water, I cannot say. If this had happened in the first year of use we certainly would alert Jars and they might issue a replacement, but unfortunately after five years there is really nothing we can do. Best regards, Ray Terrestra.com Hello Ray, I understand that the bowls are not new but I would appreciate that you share the images with Jar--the deterioration of the glaze is occurring in all three of the bowls that I have in "Jade" but the ones I have in "Neige" show no signs of deterioration. This indicates to me that there is a difference in the glaze and it is not a problem or fluke on my end. I do use these bowls a lot but there is no indication that they are not for everyday use. It is disappointing because they are not cheap. Thank you, Cristina And then....nothing. I waited 10 days or so and sent another follow-up email. And again, nothing.
