Northern Tool is a neat place to find the niche tool or part that you can't find at the bigger box…read morestores. It doesn't have the breadth of selection of Lowe's or home depot, but in has a much greater "depth" for what it does have. As an example, you won't find as many chainsaw options here as you would at Lowe's, but Northern Tool has the replacement filters, spark plugs, mufflers, etc for the equipment they do carry, which makes it an invaluable resource to the owners of things like Stihl chainsaws or blowers. It's pretty fun to just walk around and window shop. Workers are very nice and willing to answer any questions, and i think they totally understand the male desire to not ask for help ;)
