One of the better t shirt stores on Commercial Street. The designs are simple, the cotton is soft and shirts can be made to order regarding style, color and size. The young woman who waited on us was super helpful. read more

Whenever we visit Provincetown, we always stop at Birdie Silkscreen to get at least three T-shirts made with from our photographs. The staff is very helpful, advising on the best color shirt for a particular photo, helping us find the right kind of t-shirt based on the material (some are super soft!), etc. The shirts that I have purchased have held up well over time, with frequent wear and washing. It was cool to learn, at our last visit, that we could even place our orders by email when we are not in Provincetown. They have some shirts with graphic designs already printed. Those are beautiful graphics if you don't have a photo to use and would just like a Provincetown-themed t-shirt. They have tanks, t-shirts (including v-necks) and long-sleeved T's. read more

Another great gift shop on Commercial St! I love that they have a large selection of plain shirts in different sizes and colors...with choices of designs that can be silkscreened right there. Items here are very well made and hold up over time. Super friendly staff and really nice stuff. read more

I'm surprised at the reviews that say Birdie is overpriced. I have shirts that I bought 5 years ago that haven't lost their shape or design. I have a tote that is well used and looks almost new. And the pricing is what I would call mid-range for Provincetown. You can't compare these shirts to cheaper ones you will be using to wash the car within a year. As for customer service, I was in retail management and also have worked in Provincetown 15 years ago and Desiree is amazing. It is hard to get dedicated staff in P-town. She is sweet, helpful, outgoing and willing to assist in anyway. I now order online since I no longer live there. I keep buying from this store for a reason. QUALITY, products and service. read more

We discovered Birdie silkscreening years ago while visiting Provincetown and have been fans ever since. Now, they provide another type of service where you can take them a picture (or e-mail it) and it can be put on a t-shirt. I live 700 miles away and call them and tell them to look for my e-mail, where I tell them shirt size, style amd color along woth my pic, they get back to me in less than 24 hours for a credit card number and I usually have my shirt in less than a week. I don't frequent tee shirt shops. However when I saw the designs in the window I knew to had to have one to their shirts. This is not your typical tee shirt shop. They have beautiful and minimalistic graphics. Desiree was really helpful as were the other staff. Certainly a better experience than one would expect in a tee shirt shop. First shirt I bought wore once washed once, got a hole and was replaced at no charge. Second shirt wore once, washed once, color bled no replacement. I have no agenda. When I wore the shirt everyone wanted one. I loved it. I'm 60 and know how to do laundry. She promised me another shirt. None came. My Dad had a small clothes store and I am in retail. I get it. I was recently on a vacation to Massachusetts and ended up visiting the store. To start, it's a quiet little place, nothing terribly special but not bad. However a bit too pricey considering how little was actually on the shirts. The other problem I had was with her "buy two get one free" thing. I bought 3 t shirts, and it would have been better if it was buy two items get any other free (of equal or lesser value of course). Instead it was only from shirts on the round thing in the middle of the store. So I went over to pick something, and found one I liked, she watched me walk over and start looking, and she watched me reach for the bottom shelf. I brought the shirt over to the counter and she said that it was only the top shelf. Something she could have said at any point in that process. She also want terribly friendly. She wasn't rude, but when you have a business, you should put forth more effort to make your customers at least a little more comfortable. read more

just ordered 4 womens tank tops 2 days ago.. I live outside of Philadelphia and when I got home today there they were waiting for me at my door. Really folks, thats about a day and a half to get from the end of Cape Cod all the way down to outside of phila. How can you beat the service plus the quality of Birdies shirts/ I love this store and could not get up there this year but as I speak my son is arriving and will be sent up to Birdies to check out any sales she has in her baskets. Yes the shirts are little more expensive but the quality is great and the shirts are well designed and last well beyond two washes. Go back to Walmart where you belong. read more
