Avoid at all costs. First of all the smell of the place smells like pure fish not like a sushi place smell that should've been our first red flag. We literally got sick the next day. The fish was not fresh. On top of that we found a massive piece of hair in the food which was disgusting to the core. Waitress was casual if you guys want to take it off the bill or do a new one. I ordered the teriyaki salmon bento box for in-dining. The miso soup came out first and it was good, followed by the salmon bento box. The salmon was completely crispy and completely burnt from the edges to the center. It was completely inedible. There was no moisture in the fish and it literally broke apart like a potatoe chip would. How could the chef serve this? I complained and told them I wanted the teriyaki chicken instead. The chicken bento came out and it was good, along with the accompaniment. There are so many restaurants in the area that I will never return to this one. Had my first experience here not too long ago and enjoyed it! Plenty of seating indoors, located right next to the parking garage, and interior was clean and nicely decorated. Service was great. Although I should have tried the sushi here, I ended up ordering Jjamppong which actually isn't on their menu. Tip: gotta ask for it. The portion size was biggg, plenty of vegetables and noodles, and the broth was very rich. Definitely comparable to some of the really good ones in this area. I'll try the sushi next time I come. This was my fourth time here and am still pretty mixed on my review of this cafe. Don't get me wrong, but this place does deliver on quality food although the service does take away from the overall impression. The appetizers are good, and I would highly recommend their miso soup and edamame as it never misses a beat. If you are a fan of ginger, then the ginger salaad is a must have. The dumplings are quite small and not filling in case you were curious about that. Now for the main reason you are here; their sushi is reasonably priced, tasty, and fresh. Don't hesitate to try something new here like their special rolls such as the: Salmon Mango, Haiwaiian Volcano, and fire cracker rolls. If your not into the sushi vibe when your with your friends, order the beef hot stone bim bop. Sautéed meat with greens and a fried egg all put together over a bed of rice in a hot stone at a great quantity. Now they lost two stars due to slow service and the fact that our order was messed up along with the table next to us. This has happened before and they genuinely do apologize for the mistakes. This place is family owned and the family is so sweet. I love family owned businesses because you can really tell how much they really want you to enjoy your experience there. They're generally busy because it's so good and the prices are great. It's definitely worth it. I've tried many of the rolls and the miso soup is really good. I also really like their spring rolls. Everything has been delicious. They have a variety of drinks. I tried a milk drink in a can last time and it was really yummy! This place has been on my radar for some months now and yesterday I finally mustered up the courage to order from them. Their menu is super expensive. I got the firecracker roll $17.95 and shrimp fried rice $17.50. Spicy mayo is $1.50 for a small cup. So $40 for two things was one reason that made me hesitant. The firecracker roll is SO GOOD! 9/10. However, the rice was not good. It has green beans and corn in it which was off putting. I've never had fried rice with that in there, definitely would've asked for it to be removed had I known. The biggest factor for me that would make me never return to this place is the older lady works there. Her attitude is so nasty and funky and if I ever have to interact with her there, I'd rather just go somewhere else. Yesterday wasn't my first encounter with her having a funky attitude. Absolutely some of the best sushi in town! I've ordered delivery as well as dined in and had a good experience with both. There was a bit of a delay at the table when my mom and I ordered 4 rolls or dine in but they were pretty busy. One thing I didn't like is that, they don't have fountain drinks, and I was given a can. Cans just don't do it for me, it's too fizzy, making it super uncomfortable and burned as it went down, and not as good so I was disappointed when he handed me that, maybe you will consider getting fountain drinks? Another straw/ can flaw is the fact that it doesn't stay in the can, as soon as I sip from the straw it rises and fizzes out the can and onto the table and I had to clean it up and it just sucks. Please change that? Just saying, it makes a big difference to some of us. One of our rolls did arrive with a hair in it, but it was replaced but wed been waiting so long we almost didn't even want it anymore, and had to wait again for it to arrive in better condition the second time. The ginger salad was good, kinda sweet just the way I like and service was great as well. Rolls are huge, super fresh and delicious. Will definitely be returning here for more. read more
