This was an amazing spot. We ordered the birria tacos. The 3 tacos were loaded with flavorful beef, cheese and some light chopped onions. We absolutely loved this dish. Homemade mild salsa was delicious. I had to try their churros. I was not disappointed with the 3 large churros and small dish of vanilla ice cream. What a treat! Really delicious food. The California burrito was especially good. The Birria pizza was okay - crust was so so, kind of tough and lots of Birria meat (actually too much for me). I think the pizza needs some more freshness like avocados. The chips and guac were fresh and good. I tried their taco Tuesday deal and the tacos were great - I just think they need more freshness and acidity (more red onion, cilantro, lime juice). Lots of meat in the tacos, would not decrease that. I think the price point is pretty high - each dish is about $18-20. Service is nice but you do have to tip as it is a sit down restaurant and they automatically add 18%. Their weekly specials aren't worth it because they're all dine in only except for taco Tuesday and with tip, the discount is basically nothing. the interior is so cute and well decorated! The food here is full of flavor! My first visit to Birria Love happened due to the location being highly recommended by a family member. I am glad that I listened to the recommendation. My meal started with the Birria Egg Rolls. The Egg Rolls include Monterrey Jack cheese and beef Birria. The menu item is served with a consommé and a special sauce. Birria Ramen A pleasant surprise that it comes with a Birria taco on the side. Ramen noodles were doughy tasting. Good amount of Birria on top, again the broth needed more seasoning to it. The beef was also tough in some bites. The raw onions were overpowering and needed something to balance the flavors out. Nice touch with the fresh cilantro. I will admit I am spoiled and have a bias because the ramen shop in my neighborhood makes their noddles fresh with an amazing rich, flavorful broth. Just okay ramen here. Surf & Birria Pizza The edges were a bit too chard for my liking. The Birria could've used a bit more seasoning and flavor. They give an excellent amount of Birria, covering the whole pizza. The shrimp were very undercooked and raw in some bites. The broth was a underwhelming in flavor and tasted watered down. I Cynivised by ordering a side of queso to drizzle on top. The queso was not a good cheese texture so it didn't pan out like I wanted it to. Queso Really salty and thick like velveeta processed cheese. I also suspect it's microwaved to warm it up because it was cold very quickly making it a gelatinous goop. Not a fan. Overall the Birria was just okay. Some bites were tough and dry, which threw off the experience. I would love to see more flavor in the broth. Service Staff were friendly. Not automatic gratuity impressive though. Definitely not worth an 18% gratuity rate on the bill either. If I had been informed of this I would have opted to carryout. Be forewarned. I appreciated that the waitress did remind me of the automatic gratuity when I paid so I could choose to double tip or not. H2O Cute tequila bottle being reused for water. The water itself had a strong bleach and lead smell. I didn't drink it. Logistics I like the self service carryout kiosks. Dine in seats were plentiful and comfy bench seats. The burrito was ok the consume lacked flavor burrito was well packed plenty of food but everything needed more seasoning and flavor. The sorrel was simply delicious It was a good blend of hibiscus and sweetness I loved It. My brother enjoyed the horchata as he mentioned It tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk The empanadas were good but I do not think I would order them again. Been waiting to try this place out ever since I seen a post on the gram. Now I have had a birria taco before but this place was probably the best I have ever had. Tacos weren't over stuffed where I feel like I'm eating sloppy. They have just the right portion of filling. Service was very attentive with a nice friendly atmosphere. Tunes being played was a nice touch as well. Not too loud where you can't hear each other talk. I started with the chips and queso. Queso wasn't runny like some places and the chips were pretty good and not too salty. I ordered the surf and birria tacos which comes with beef and shrimp. DISCLAIMER: I ordered food to go by mistake (the 2 ppl at the register area left when I walked up, and then another came back and offered to help if I had any questions. ONCE I ORDERED AND REALIZED, I made a mistake(wanted to Dine in). I was informed I could not. They did have signage displayed in between the kiosks, clearly stating they were for to go orders - so this was my fault for not reading the Big black and white sign. :( I'd recommend, having front staff ask, "dining in or carrying out" to add an additional point for service. ---------------- ORDER TIME: *LESS THAN 5 MINUTES*  And I mean it was quick. I placed my order via the kiosk and just as I sat down, I was receiving a text. HORCHATA - If you're expecting or looking for traditional horchata, don't get this one. Their version taste like a 2 ingredient sweet milk(  If you've had or made it, you know there are more ingredients. This clearly had no rice, no water, no cinnamon stick. It was thick and felt like a combination of whole milk and condensed milk that leaves an odd aftertaste on the palette.  I honestly could only have the initial sip, urgently reaching for a sip of water. STREET CORN: made JUST RIGHT! Although simple, I've seen restaurants destroy this. There's included everything you'd expect.  SURF & BIRRA TACOS: Someone's mother is in the kitchen (she just didn't make the Horchata). These Tacos were better than ma y I've had the area. Everything was well seasoned. Next time, I'll get the regular as the shrimp were no needed. CHIPS AND SALSA: Chips were fresh(oil spots on the bag) and unsalted. They were a thicker tortilla but still done right. With the competition in the area(food trucks and 2 other restaurants), I'd likely not return unless I had a group. In case it is vital to someone: this place is not licensed to serve liquor yet BUT the food is amazing! This mattered to my friend and I but we stayed and Im glad we did lol. Try this place for the first time and will most definitely be back! I love birria everything and they have it! I had the quesabirria and it was a winner! My friend had the gluten free birria pizza and that was good as well. The crust could have been a little more crisp but if it is caulipower brand then it would need to cook first and then be topped to finish cooking. Not sure but it was still good! **To go review** I'm a huge fan of Taco Love and couldn't wait to give their newest venture a try. I was surprised to see that most if not all of the menu are different Birria infused dishes. (Birria tacos, quesadillas, pizza fries.) While fun to see the creativity it does feel a little restricted. Since I was limited on time I ordered a barilla quesadilla online and was able to pop in at the time indicated and it was ready to go. Decided to try this place on a whim and it happened to be Taco Tuesday! We were greeted by Maria as soon as we walked in and were immediately seated. The lights weren't too bright and the music was low enough to carry on a conversation without yelling. Maria served our water out of this adorable tequila bottle and told us about the taco specials. We offered 4 tacos for $19 and the Birria pizza was $20. They exceeded our expectations with deliciously marinated Birria and homemade taco shells. The consumme was the perfect addition to the meals.
