Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

The pan dulce here is very tasty, tastes fresh and just the right amount of sweet. They also have a variety of drinks, like Mexican hot chocolate and many others at this location. As for the mil hojas cake, this is not a walk-in and buy cake. This one you have to order a day ahead. Mil hojas is a crunchy pastry and when made to a cake with cream or other sauce with fruit it will get soft if left for more than a day. Also, for this cake you get the option if you want vanilla cream, whip cream, etc. I bought one of these cakes for someone birthday and it was the talk of the party! I promise you, you show up with one of these and everyone will want to know who, what, where and when. This place is on a corner in 13th street. There is actually parking here on the street but also behind the location. You'll have to pull into the parking lot. Be careful as it is narrow to enter and seems kind of hidden. I missed the parking lot sign but I was lucky enough to get street parking so it wasn't an issue. They have ramp and stairs here to enter so if you are in a wheel chair or have a stroller, you'll have no trouble getting in. The place inside looked very clean. There were a couple tables and chairs to sit inside. The place looks new and the inside of the store is colorful, very traditional Mexican. Service was great! There were two ladies there when I went to pick-up my cake and they were friendly and quick to help me out. If you are looking for a Mexican Pan Dulce or cakes, come here! Thankfully this turned out to be a solid choice for pizza and they do the concept justice. It's not as saucy of a pizza, but they do well with a crispy crust and the flavorful toppings. Their signs hadn't been updated for pricing, but it was 8" for $13 and 12" for $19. Our number got called up pretty quick so we didn't have to wait very long for the pizza to be done (5 minutes tops). Some pepper/cheese packets available for additional toppings. The whole thing was given to us in a pizza box which made for pretty easy transport at the market. It's actually nice they they're not as sauce heavy as other pizza spots (I can't actually partake in tomato anymore, so the fact they had options for me was neat too). We settled on the Chorizo for a more cheese-heavy and tomato free experience. Toppings were very fresh and the bottom/crust had a nice airy crispiness that made it worth eating to the last bite. Had a medium amount of heat to it with the jalapenos, but not too much without them. Remarkably flavorful and really well done (the little chorizo bites were quite popping, but so were the cheese bits). Definitely grab something from them if you're on the hunt for good pizza on the go.

I was pretty excited by the reviews and the Mexican fusion concept, but to be honest found the pizza a little bland. Food Rating: 6/10 Price: 7/10…read more Ambiance/Service: 6/10 Overall Rating: 6.3 Came to the stand at around 7 on Saturday, and initially we wanted al pastor tacos, but the owner said they only had enough meat for 2. So we decided to get all asada tacos instead. We were picking up a single taco for a friend to try who doesn't like onions, so we asked for 8 tacos with everything (cilantro + onions) and 1 taco with no onions. When we got home and opened the plate, we had 8 tacos total (I checked, and we were only charged for 8), 4 of them were meat only, and the other 4 had only onions. The truck itself was on a nice corner and had a clean setup. There was a small seating area in the back with tables and chairs. The person working the truck was also really nice and friendly, but unfortunately, I don't think you can get an order this wrong. The prices were also hard to find. Tacos - $4.25 Rating: (6/10) Without cilantro, I feel like this taco is already below average. $4.25 per taco is also a bit high for a stand like this, though they do give a large amount of meat. The meat had pretty good flavor and was cooked for just the right amount of time. The green salsa was also really good. The taco shells were way too oily, and, maybe just as a personal preference, I don't enjoy lemons with my tacos ... limes are a must.

The taco shell had a great crunch and the birria meat had really good flavor. It also came with extra consommé on the side for dipping, which made it even better. I haven't had a ton of quesabirria, but my first thought after the first bite was basically, "wow, this is the best quesabirria I've had!!" A couple small downsides: the free chips were a bit stale, and they were out of rice on a Sunday around noon. There's plenty of outdoor seating in the gas station parking lot, and the outdoor dining area was fairly clean with some umbrellas for shade. For dine-in, they served the food on a plate, which was a nice touch for a food truck.

Even during peak hours when the place is packed, I've never waited long to be seated, and the food always comes out quickly. I've worked my way through their menu: doner wraps, kebab plates, and a variety of sides; and every single dish has been a hit. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The consistency here is impressive, which is something I value highly in any restaurant. I already loved Mediterranean food, but BAHO's Turkish offerings really surprised me. Fresh vegetables, bold and flavorful sauces, and perfectly seasoned, savory meats come together in a way that feels both comforting and exciting. Keep in mind that the doner wrap is served in a bag because it can get messy, but if you remember those old Carl's Jr. commercials: "If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face". If you're lucky enough to be helped by Boris, you're in great hands. He's incredibly kind, hardworking, and clearly takes pride in making sure guests have a great experience. On my first visit with my cousin, I told him we had no idea what to order, and he set us up with chicken doner wraps and a selection of appetizers. An excellent introduction to the menu that hooked us. Since then, I've brought my wife, friends, and family here, and every single person has walked away impressed. BAHO Mediterranean Cafe has easily become one of my go-to spots, and I can't recommend it enough. Quick update: It turns out that I posted my review too late, as they've been shut down by the city. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. They are located in the centerish area of the fleamarket and are next to two other Mexican food trucks. The name implies their birria is very good but the funny thing is we go for normal tacos every time we come. The unique thing we noticed is their asada and pastor are more "wet" than normal and they seem to use a special cooking process. Asada Tacos: Perfect amount of onion, cilantro, and meat. The tortillas are balanced with how much oil is added so they are not soggy yet the tortilla is not too wet. They are my favorite for Asada without having to go to SF or Oakland. Al Pastor: My wife's favorite and this one I think is hard to nail that perfect balance between sweet, savory, and grilled. She also noted it has a much softer and wetter texture than other Al Pastors but tasted really good. She easily finished 2 tacos and probably wished she got one more. Chicken Quesadilla: For the kids, this one is HUGE and filling. Nice quantity of cheese and delicious chicken.
