Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Mil hojas is a crunchy pastry and when made to a cake with cream or other sauce with fruit it will get soft if left for more than a day. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.
