It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. This is what a Nashville hot chicken sandwich is supposed to be…read more Unlike a lot of the chains like Dave's where it can basically feel like a chicken tender thrown into a bun, Scratch serves a huge, thick piece of actual chicken breast. The portions are serious, the chicken is juicy, and the breading has a great crunch. What really sets them apart for me is the spice. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.

Dish Dash is full service dine in with a full menu and Dish n' Dash is quick food - order at the counter and pick up your food when it is ready - also has a limited menu. Food - like I said you order at the counter and pick up your food - I like the chicken shawarma wrap or salad. Both are good, but something has changed - it lacks the yumminess it had before. For sauces, they have a sauce bar... which also has changed, the sauces taste bland...they used to have a more explosive flavor hit. They have a nice bar area but is not open at lunch time. And they have plenty of seating since it was a restaurant in its previous life. Good for big groups. Plenty of shared parking with other restaurants in the same area... Would I go back?
