Nasty horchata

The tacos were good, asada fries are basic has nacho cheese sauce. Horchata is gross and they definitely use the fake powder kind. Stingy on salsa as well the green one was the only decent one. Dry limes. Wouldnt come again 2.5/5 Los tacos estaban buenos, las patatas fritas asada son básicas con salsa de queso nacho. La horchata es asquerosa y definitivamente usan el tipo de polvo falso. Tacaño en salsa también. Limas secas. La verde es la única decente. No volvería a venir 2.5/5

Burrito

The lady who takes my order has a good attitude, food tastes good and worth the price 100% . The asada burrito is actually really good and big definitely recommend trying out this food truck. Horchata is good too

I had high expectations for this taco truck because of all the positive reviews but I was honestly really disappointed with my visit. There wasn't much of a crowdon a Saturday night (2 other people ordered) but I still had to wait for my food for over 20 minutes. I ordered the Asada Fries (replaced with Tripas) and a mix of 3 tacos (al pastor and carne asada). Unfortunately, every item was disappointing. All three meats tasted bland, lacked any seasoning, and the grilled onions tasted soggy - not sweet, salty, or meaty, nothing. The sauces were also a huge miss. The red salsa had a strong spice kick but no other flavor components but their green sauce was delicious - loved the creaminess and heat it packed. I don't think they bothered frying the fries because all the fries on the plate were oily and soggy. Maybe there was a misunderstanding about the "Tripas" option but I was not aware it referred to beef guts rather than the beef lining tripe I was expecting - what a waste of an order!

I drive 30 minutes everytime only for this specific food truck. I love that I don't have to ask for sides they give it to you naturally.

I had a late night cravings so I came across this taco place from doordash and thought I'd try it out since it's cheaper than other taco places. The tortilla is okay, what I like about it is that it wasn't greasy or oily. The meat was okay too, although some were burnt a little. I requested for salsa but I guess I need to request to put on the side or purchase separately? The red salsa was a bit too spicy for me, so I couldn't really enjoy my tacos. I wish they would've put the salsa separately. Overall, it wasn't too bad, maybe I'll order again.

The tacos are bigger than average tacos and cheap ($2.50 each)! You can tell that the tortillas is also fresh and handmade. I wasn't impressed by the taste of meats, but still satisfied my craving. I got asada, carnitas, tripes, and al pastor. Overall, the tacos are solid.

Al Pastor burrito it was filling but in terms of flavor everything was pretty much mashed together not giving much flavor.

Staff are warm and friendly, placement is behind the gas station in the other plaza, and food was ok, would come back for tacos but not the burritos sorry!

Wanted to try this place because it was open late night and it has handmade tortillas. We got pollo, asada and pastor tacos plus a pollo burrito. My husband liked his burrito. And out of the tacos I really liked the asada.

El Toro Tacos is a great food truck in east side san jose on the intersection of King Road (or silver creek road) and Tully Road within the Lion's Plaza. It is right behind the gas station and the starbucks. I've gone here multiple times and they do not disappoint when it comes to their food. My favorite is the tacos! The tacos come with the salsa already which is great. I always like to order the burrito too, especially when it is toasted on the two sides, making it crunchy and easier to eat. My favorite meat is the al pastor. I like the tripas as well, but the asada is a bit dry in my opinion. The last time I had it in my burrito, it didn't look fresh and was just warm and could have been overcooked. They also give you a salsa verde and an orange/red-ish sauce that are both spicy. I wish they gave it with every meal but sometimes you have to ask them to give it to you. They also only give you two so use the sauce sparingly or else you will run out quickly. This is one of my new favorite mexican food truck spots in the area and will come back to try more of what they offer.

Under cooked yet burned fries.

I can't decide if the 2 stars is being generous or not. We ordered asada fries (disgusting), chicken quesadillas (amazingly awesome), and a burrito (asada) mediocre, asada meat wasn't very flavorful, salsa was very spicy though. My food was the fries. They were mostly uncooked but still somehow burned on one side. I was supposed to get the salsa on the side, but they didn't give that to me. I added the toppings from my son's quesadilla to try to redeem the fries , but it wasn't enough.

Carne Asada tacos here are packed with flavor and the service is always great. Tortillas are soft and fluffy, the best tacos in east side.

I've been to their usual spot by the gas station a couple of times but they werent there...did they move?

They're still there but it looks like they're only there after 5PM. I don't think they're going anywhere soon, tacos are so good!

So delicious every single time and this time was no different. There's limited parking and you can either order inside or at the taco truck. There are areas to sit and wait for your order and tables to eat at. I ordered three al pastor tacos. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. So good as always. I literally scarfed my tacos down with salsa and grilled onions. My friend ordered a carne asada burrito which he said was super filling and the perfect amount of food. I ordered from the truck, then went into the store to collect my drink, and then came back out to sit in the dining area, where I also collected any sauces I wanted. Definitely need to work for your meal and get your steps in. The condiments and sauces are in a cart with plastic cups with lids provided. There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. Parking is limited but there are always cars coming and going so if you can wait a little, a spot will open up.

I've had my fair share of tusok-tusok experiences in California and I mean it when I say that I am happy this place opened up. I think prices are pretty fair for a bbq stick in the Bay Area. They carry pork bbq, hot dogs, intestine, kwek-kwek, bettamax, pig ears, etc! Although I wish they had fishball or squid ball for even more variety but thats ok. They provide a marinade to brush on while you grill your own BBQ and provide vinegar and another sweet sauce for you to dip it in post-grilling. Overall, the flavor is really good and you can't really go wrong. They carry other items on the menu in which they serve to you such as sisig, pares, siaomai, empanada (available weekends only), lumpia, melon juice, etc. And yes they have rice! I wish I took pictures of the food we ordered but the kids got to it first while we were bbqing. We went on a Thursday evening so it wasn't too crowded but they still kept the party going with karaoke and music. I could imagine the place being full on weekends. The parking could also get tricky in that area if full too. They take cash, Zelle, and card (with surcharge). The grill is located inside in the center of the restaurant so it gets pretty smoky inside even with all the doors open and vents running. So expect to smell like delicious bbq coming out lol.
