Food was 9/10! We got the birria taco plate and the birria burrito. Both AMAZING. The rice and beans on the side were good, chips seemed a little old. Horchata was fantastic. Will 1000% be going back for the birria though. Service was good, but a bit spotty. Only complaint otherwise was that there was no baby changing station in the bathroom. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN TOWN. The Birria is perfection! But what blows me away is how big their menu is! My fiance is a chilaquiles snob and this is the only place he likes! But back to the menu- we just ordered a door dash breakfast and able to get his chilaquiles with birria and I ordered french toast AND EVEN THE FRENCH TOAST IS DELICIOUS. Everything here is amazing! Came in after a long day at Camelback Ranch. Coming from San Diego, I'm pretty spoiled with Mexican food. But the reviews were good so I wanted to try it. Once service saw us, they made sure we taken care of. The bean dip with the chips was yummy and I enjoyed all three of the salsas. The ambiance is very mom and pop. I sat close to where the door to the kitchen is and some of the cleaning smells were a bit overpowering. The queso birria tacos were crunchy and packed with birria. Food, ambience, and customer service was amazing! They have traditional Mexican food and some American breakfast items to choose from. All of it was delicious! Why are their sauces so SPICY?? The sauce on huevos rancheros too spicy. Wife could not enjoy. Too bad too, because the eggs are cooked perfectly. Okay so these birrieria tacos are soooooo good. Full of so much flavor I def recommend. However the carne asada and al pastor tacos were not very good. I thought it was odd they were severed with lettuce and tomato instead of the regular street tacos with onion and cilantro. It threw me off as I've never seen these tacos served this way and I didn't care for them. But luckily the birrieria and conome made up for the other tacos. That's all we will get when we come here. First time here. A friend I found this spot just by chance. The food was fresh and very tasty. I had the asada sopes with the beans. Came out nice and hot and had great flavors. Service on point, and the young lady kept checking in with us. As for the restaurant, it looks nice and was very clean. I would highly recommend this place. Cane from Minnesota and decided to check them out. There was a slight wait for a table due to the size of the establishment which was fine. My family and I ordered the birria taco combo they come with the corn tortilla fried. You could see they fried them but because they don't drain the meat it was pointless to have them fried because they came out soggy and super wet with no crunch what so ever! They have the best consume I have tasted thus far hands down. The birria meat had no seasoning and was bland so we added some salt to kind of help. Not really shocked about that though because most places like it seem not to use a lot of seasonings..I forgot to take a picture because of how wet they were we just started to put napkins under the tacos to try and absorb some of the liquid. I really really wanted to like this place. But this was a huge disappointment and let down. Honestly based on the reviews I was expecting something authentic and amazing. What we got was rude service. It felt as if coming in being Mexican and speaking English was an insult in a way. Our waitress was rude and when we asked for something she would "go get it" and never returned. The other waitress with lighter hair was way better, she was very pleasant and while we were not her table asked us if we were ok or needed anything. Even when I went to go pay the lady had an attitude as if it was rude of me to ask to pay for my check. Food was not that good, the birria was salty and while the flavor was there it was lacking meat an had way to much salt. The chips were stall, the horchata had too much cinnamon. It was good but that over powered the flavor and was hard to finish it all. The carne asada meat was cold which tells me it's pre made. The flavor was ok but honestly when you are expecting a warm piece of meat and it's cold, it doesn't leave you wanting more. There was also something in the air that made our eyes burn and water. Again I am Mexican and cook with a lot of spices and chilies and this was not that kind of smell nor feeling. It was just disappointing that the food was not up to par on what I expected based on the other reviews. The huevos rancheros were also a travesty. I don't think I will be back since everything we tried today was not that great. The plus is they have coke products and accept all major credit cards. The restaurant did look clean but I did not go to the restrooms so can't speak on that. I would say if you want to give them a chance, then try it out yourself. Maybe it was a bad day for the cook that day because the reviews this place has I would have expected to enjoy at least one thing we tried and unfortunately not even the French fries were good. read more
