Never disappointing! Try anything with their seasoned potatoes! The chorizo and eggs were very well cooked and oh so tasty! This is my first time enjoying breakfast here. I will be back.

Food was 9/10! We got the birria taco plate and the birria burrito. Both AMAZING. The rice and beans on the side were good, chips seemed a little old. Horchata was fantastic. Will 1000% be going back for the birria though. Service was good, but a bit spotty. Only complaint otherwise was that there was no baby changing station in the bathroom. If you're looking for a delicious taco spot though, with a cute interior and good music, this is the place!

The french toast was PERFECT. The pic doesn't do it justice- it was sooo fluffy!

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANTS IN TOWN. The Birria is perfection! But what blows me away is how big their menu is! My fiance is a chilaquiles snob and this is the only place he likes! Everytime we get chilaquiles somewhere else he always says "it's not Las Maria's." But back to the menu- we just ordered a door dash breakfast and able to get his chilaquiles with birria and I ordered french toast AND EVEN THE FRENCH TOAST IS DELICIOUS. Everything here is amazing! And the customer service is top notch- I love going in person, but even for my door dash order- someone from the restaurant called me to ask how we wanted the eggs cooked! I was so impressed that they took the time to call us to make sure we got what we wanted! THIS PLACE IS THE BEST!

Taco special with queso birria tacos

Came in after a long day at Camelback Ranch. Coming from San Diego, I'm pretty spoiled with Mexican food. But the reviews were good so I wanted to try it. Once service saw us, they made sure we taken care of. The bean dip with the chips was yummy and I enjoyed all three of the salsas. The ambiance is very mom and pop. I sat close to where the door to the kitchen is and some of the cleaning smells were a bit overpowering. The queso birria tacos were crunchy and packed with birria. The beans were flavored well as was the rice. I liked the small fresh salad. I'd definitely come back.

The place has good food. The only thing I would say is that the portions need to be better. In my plate of machacca their isn't enough potatoes. Also, the carne asada fries were cold when they came by. The menudo was salty and did not taste recently made. It's a decent place overall.

Very satisfied with the food and service here. We were seated right away on a Thursday midday and were greeted by a friendly waitress. She gave us some time to look at the menu since I never been here before. I ordered the birra tacos and they were absolutely amazing. Super delicious and packed with flavor. Enjoyed the salsa bar the restaurant also had. The place it self was trendy and spacious. I can see myself returning here. The place is a bit hidden but it's for sure worth the stop.

Thank you! Good was great! Restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are clean as well. The salsa bar is a plus!

Chile relleno omelette. SPICY RED SAUCE
    Juan G.

Why are their sauces so SPICY?? The sauce on huevos rancheros too spicy. Wife could not enjoy. Too bad too, because the eggs are cooked perfectly. The sauce around the chile relleno omelette is too spicy. I took the it out of the sauce to salvage part of the dish. Unless you are into SPICY stick to the tacos. Spicy seems to be the operative word in all their sauces.

Love this place. I started coming here because my lash appointment was next door. I come every Thursday and it was very friendly. The staff is considerate. The food is amazing. My friends and I always get the pastor, carne, and Birrieria tacos with Spanish rice. The only thing I haven't like here is the elote. A must try would be the horchata. I think the self serve salsa bar is perfect. I love how they play movies or you have a choice of music

Okay so these birrieria tacos are soooooo good. Full of so much flavor I def recommend. However the carne asada and al pastor tacos were not very good. I thought it was odd they were severed with lettuce and tomato instead of the regular street tacos with onion and cilantro. It threw me off as I've never seen these tacos served this way and I didn't care for them. But luckily the birrieria and conome made up for the other tacos. That's all we will get when we come here. But I do want to try the chilaquiles.

So you come in the side door to the dining room . Wait staff all greet you and guide you to the dining room, festooned with roses and talavera tiles. It's not kitschy, just gorgeous. The menu is ample and you can't go wrong with anything. The initial refrito dip, tho yummy, has pork. But they have the best, the absolute best black beans!! Try them just for a change. The restaurant is inside of an old brick home with wood interior and warm colors. The service was good-- friendly and food came out at a good pace, we were checked on regularly. We ordered an appetizer and then entrees from the lunch menu. The aguachile appetizer is SO good. It's bright, fresh, and has a lot of flavor in the green sauce. It reminds me of a ceviche type dish due to its raw butterflied shrimp that is marinated in the house made chile serrano & cilantro citrus sauce. It was awesome. We were also given free chips & house made bean dip. I ordered the mixed two item plate with a chile rellano and taco corazon (grilled taco dipped in a red chile sauce, stuffed with shredded beef & melted cheese. Topped with grilled onions). The black beans and rice is also tasty. I tried a bite of the other dishes, and I also really liked the brightly colored spinach & cheese enchiladas with pink sauce ( signature beet sauce). I look forward to trying other items from the menu, I was eyeing the steak Mexicano or red snapper. Those dishes sound good for dinner.

This restaurant is centrally located near the ASU campus and offers generous patio seating in addition to their indoor dining area. I was greeted upon entering and since I was dining alone I decided to sit at the bar. I didn't realize you were supposed to order at the register at the bar, but the bartender was kind and took my order from my seat at the bar instead. I started with chips and salsa, which came with guacamole but I'm not a fan so I didn't give it a try. The chips were perfectly cooked and seemed to be house-made or at least a high quality chip as they were thick and had a good salty flavor. The red salsa had good flavor but mild spice. The green salsa was bright and had a little kick to it. I wasn't super hungry, so I only ordered one chicken taco (without the avocado salsa). The taco was pretty good, although I was anticipating a chopped grilled chicken but it came with more of a pilled marinated chicken. Still good, just not what I expected from a more "authentic" taco. I also missed having a salsa bar with toppings (onions, pico, etc) that you can add. Instead these tacos came as designed by the chef. I also ordered the mango and original house margaritas, both were refreshing and hit the mark with the chips and tacos. They had a $5 margarita for a special as it was Monday, but my margarita was full price. Not sure what the difference was, perhaps a lower quality tequila? This is a great spot for a quick bite or a light happy hour. They are newer, so show some local support!

Also bring a group. The portions are huge and the food is clearly meant to be shared. Trust me on this one, bring friends. I've tried a bunch of dishes here, and there are a few I always go back to. For the table, Camarones Locos is an easy choice. The flame grilled shrimp comes out hot and full of flavor, perfect for passing around. La Patrona ceviche tower is massive and worth the order. When it hits the table, you immediately feel good about the decision. El Pulpazo is technically an entrée, but we always order it as a shareable. The octopus is grilled perfectly and it comes with rice and beans, so everyone gets a little of everything. For entrées, my number one pick is the Lobster and Crab Enchiladas with green sauce. I think about this dish at least once a week. The enchiladas are packed with lobster and crab, and the green sauce ties the whole thing together. Honestly, I could talk about this place all day. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.
