Such great food and such great customer service made us feel taken care of. The food was amazing, and the drinks definitely left a great taste. We got the birria tacos, and not only were they big tacos, they were great, delicious tacos. 10/10 would recommend

I always saw this place as I drive by and finally decided to give them a try. With plenty of parking and plenty of seating, I was greeted and told to sit down anywhere. The waitress brought me out some complimentary chips and salsa along with water. I got there right after the lunch rush so there was plenty of space but there were lots of dirty tables that had yet to be cleaned due to the lunch rush. After I sat down I did see the staff cleaning and sweeping so thats good. Now they advertise their birria so that's what I went with for lunch that day. I order the quesa birria that comes with a cup of consume. It did not come with any side and I feel that if your paying $15 for 2 tacos the least it should come with is rice and bean since those sides cost pennies to make. I was planning on ordering something else but since I really wanted to focus on enjoying the birria I only order that. I was skeptical about spending $15 for 2 tacos but let me tell yall they did not skimp on the meat. There was a lot of meat in these tacos and it came out hot and when I open it to put lime and cilantro the goo from the cheese was just amazing. The meat was juice and hot and the seasonings were not overpowering to let the meat shine on its own. Now the consume that it came with was also pipping hot so i had to let it cool down. There was an ingredient that they use in there that I could not pin point but it threw my taste off. Don't get me wrong the consume was ok but I had better. The tacos were big and full of meat I only manage to eat one with half of my rice and beans. The staff was nice and attentive but let me tell yall what happened after I left. I paid with my American Express card and a week later I had an unauthorized charge from somewhere out of state and I begin to think about where my information would have gotten stolen. Thinking back it had to have been here, I shop with that card online and do transactions at big-name retailers and never had a problem. I am thinking the card security system in this place is not good and that's where my information was obtained no douth about it. So my suggestion pay with cash if possible but if you pay with card keep an eye on your statements.

My kids go to school over here so it's a good area for me to explore for lunch. Husband and I went here for lunch. We shared the goat. Goat is one of my favorite meats. This goat was good and tender. It came in a bowl of consomme. Bone and all. We got a side of rice and went to town. The goat was so good mixed in with the rice and the salsa and consommé. They give you a warm salsa for chips, but a different salsa that comes with the goat. We came back the next day for dinner. I think it was better for lunch. I still liked it and will return to explore more of the menu.

Seafood Soup! Great substitute for caldo or menudo for those Sunday hangovers!

If you want the real deal Birria and an authentic Mexican food restaurant, this is the place!! Everything here is amazing and will leave you feeling ready for nap time.

Coming from Cali it's hard to find a good Mexican place in Texas. Came in with my family and had the Tapiqueña and was so delicious. My family had the Carne Asada, Cabeza plate and Enchiladas and all was delicious. Hand made tortillas and so much meat. The drinks were jumbo size. All was great will definitely be back.

Great authentic Mexican food which is hard to find nowadays! Our waitress was very attentive and nice. I highly recommend trying this restaurant when in the area

The customer service here is rather loose & strewn all over, it takes 40 minutes just to be given our drinks but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it's around 8PM and everyone's tired after a long day. The food was pretty average & it's also a bit overpriced (with good reason). The food is really big but I don't see as to why to serve food in large proportion if the taste isn't "large" itself. An infant was given a large fish to eat & in my opinion it's just a waste of food, power, & money for the restaurant crew & customers both. Also, the constant image of goat balls in my face 24/7 doesn't make it any better; goats with anatomical vaginas & testicles are literally painted on the walls & it's a threat to the eyes of children who don't understand

We had lunch here, the food and the service was exceptional. Very welcoming and friendly staff. We had a molcajete and birria de chivo and both were delicious. Hand made tortilla fresh out the kitchen.

Birria de Chivo with meat and bone. ~$12

We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

But we always hear people talk about how great Joe T's is so we thought maybe we just an isolated bad experience 15 years ago. But this time, it was even worse. Maybe people don't speak unfavorably out of fear of being shamed for not praising this "institution"? We arrived on a Wednesday at 5:30 so fortunately our unpleasant experience was not further worsened with a wait. The patio is still very beautiful and umbrellas were positioned to provide ample shade. But the fly situation was very annoying and could probably be helped with the spinning devices on tables or fans spread throughout the patios. The beauty of the patio doesn't compensate enough to endure the flies. The service started out good with waters, chips/salsa brought instantly. But within 15 minutes the service rapidly declined as more customers were seated. It was very tedious to the point of annoying to get refills on our drinks. Literally within 2-3 minutes of ordering we asked our waitress to switch one of the fajita orders from chicken to beef. She initially said "oh I'm sorry but I JUST put the order in". We looked puzzled and said "ok then it shouldn't be a problem changing it?" She went on to explain that she would add the beef to our table and just switch the chicken order to another table next to us who ordered chicken that she had not put in yet. All of that sounded very bizarre but the food was correct when it was delivered our table. At the time the plates were brought we requested a side of sour cream but it didn't come. After 5-10 minutes we spotted our server and requested it from her. But we still never got the sour cream. As I was paying the tab my daughter noticed that we were charged for an extra chicken fajita. So even though the server got the beef fajita added right after we ordered, she didn't take the chicken off the bill. She adjusted it once we pointed out the error. The food was the biggest disappointment out of all of it. I will always give grace to sub par service or atmosphere if the food is great. I say this with the utmost sincerity, I've had more flavorful beef and chicken at Chipotle. The chicken was so dry and served in big chunks which made it even tougher to chew. I seriously could not detect a hint of any seasoning, not even salt. It was very hot but not like the traditional sizzling fajita hot, more like it had been sitting in a heating pan or under heat lamps. For way too long. The beef was a tad bit easier to chew than the chicken but just as bland. The queso that we ordered tasted like canned cheese sauce watered down with chicken or vegetable broth and a tablespoon of pico added. The portion sizes of the entrees, the tortillas, the pico, the guacamole were all very generous. It's just a shame that it doesn't taste good.

You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it.
