    Happy healthy baby

Beth and her team did such an amazing job caring for our family every step of the way! We interviewed multiple midwives and OBs and my body was instantly relaxed in Beth's office and I knew I had found the right person to be on this journey with (it also helped that she had rave reviews from my dear friend who delivered with her earlier in the year). Even with the craziness of COVID in 2020 the duration of my pregnancy, she was calm and careful and I felt so safe in her care. She was always available to answer any question big or small and I looked forward to all the check ups because she gave me all the time and attention I could want- so much more than a traditional OB. After 48 hrs of laboring at home with her it was clear that it would be wise to transfer to a hospital since he was essentially stuck so we did so calmly and we're able to bring our baby safely into the world with the help of modern medicine. Her calm demeanor kept me calm and in the zone the whole labor and even the transfer to the hospital was easy because she had us pre-register just in case. Her postpartum care was unparalleled! I felt so incredibly supported and I think it even helped prevent PPD because I felt so supported and felt like someone who care was always just a text away. And look at how my baby looked into her eyes so fondly at just 6 weeks old. We Couldn't recommend Beth more highly!

Beth and her team helped me bring this sweet, healthy, perfect guy into the world.

i sought midwifery care after a disappointing initial OB appointment when i was around 8 weeks pregnant. i was emotional, overwhelmed, nervous, all the things. beth and her team sat with me in their cozy office for a consultation for as long as i needed, answering all my questions, comforting me, making me feel so loved and supported and safe. i knew right away beth was going to be my midwife. my husband felt exactly the same way. she gained our trust instantly through her transparency, guidance, confidence, and through her trust in me as the mama. she was also so respectful of my husband and included him every step of the way. i felt cared for, supported, loved and safe with beth and her team my entire pregnancy. every visit was detail-oriented, educational, loving...i never wanted my appointments to end. we laughed, we had fun. we talked about the serious stuff and the important stuff. it was like i gained a family at the same time as i was growing mine. no moments were ever rushed, none of my questions or concerns were ever brushed off. i never felt silly asking things. beth provided me with all of the information i needed to read and educate myself on how to best take care of myself, spiritually and physically, in order to optimize my chances for a low risk/no complications pregnancy and birth. i knew nothing was guaranteed and that pregnancy and birth can sometimes be a bit unpredictable, but beth showed me all the ways i could minimize risks for the not-so-ideal stuff. she was always calm and confident in me while also being real about possible shifts in plans in some not-so-common instances. our appointments were informative and educational while avoiding a sterile, unemotional vibe. they were perfect. instead of fearing the unknown and all the scary shit, i felt informed and like i held a healthy amount of nervousness that beth never failed to soothe. beth was the calm, confident, peaceful, strong, brave rock during my labor that allowed me to feel all of those things. the second my confidence started to slip, one word from her mouth or one second of eye contact with her brought it back. the second i started to lose control of my breath, one quick reminder from her helped me slow it down again. when i briefly stopped believing in myself, she believed in me hard enough for the both of us. when i didn't think i could do it anymore, she knew i could. my son was born at home in the birthing pool with beth and her team by my side supporting me every step of the way. he was a perfect, healthy little dude. beth stayed with me for hours - helping me deliver my placenta, helping my boy latch, making me feel like a freakin' badass goddess mother, creating space for my husband and i to peacefully soak those first moments up, getting me comfortable, helping us settle into bed...i seriously had the most perfect birth team. she came over less than 24 hours later to check on us and to help with breastfeeding struggles we were having. they had donor milk with them, and they stayed with us and helped us for as long as we needed them. when my boy was jaundice, she coordinated with my pediatrician to get us stronger bili lights. when i needed her advice and guidance, she was just a text or phone call away. when i struggled for months with anxiety and intrusive thoughts, she was there. i was able to continue my postpartum appointments well beyond 6 weeks until i felt ready to stop scheduling them. it was up to me. the support never ended. i still reach out to beth with questions and concerns and my son is over a year old now. i will hire beth and her team for midwifery care every single time i get pregnant. i'm so blessed they are close to me and available to me. i love them with my whole heart and am so grateful for them.

I would be lost without Beth Cannon and her team. They were gentle, knowledgeable and able to answer every question and worry that arose through my pregnancy and delivery. My labor lasted for 3 days and all 3 of my midwives stayed by my side. Making sure that baby and myself were well. I never knew this side of birth and how beautiful it could be. Thank you for making the most important event in my life so beautiful and for reminding me of my strength and for always giving me credit for the delivery.

It gave me peace of mind and comfort knowing I had her there to support me during the labor and delivery, especially in dealing with unforeseen circumstances and talking with the hospital staff. she also helped me out postpartum which was absolutely amazing. The two at-home sessions leading up to my hospital birth were so informative and really made my husband and I feel as prepared as possible to think through lots of different scenarios (and much more informative than any labor course we took!). Robyn is clearly incredibly experienced, professional, and so deeply cares about the mamas and partners she supports. Robyn was always available and on the night I went into labor, she was in constant contact guiding us during the time leading up to our hospital arrival. She was there waiting for us at 1am ready to go - she was so prepared and immediately made me feel at ease for this unknown experience. All of the techniques she offered me, the constant emotional and physical support during labor (she is a talented masseuse!!), and her encouragement and backing of all my birth preferences (including ensuring our gender reveal stayed a surprise until the very end!) made the day such a positive experience. Not to mention, had Robyn not been there, I felt there was a very high likelihood I would have had to have had a cesarean birth due to my extended labor process. Instead, the techniques and positions Robyn worked with the doctors and nurses to offer meant that I got to have the safe and healthy delivery I had hoped for. Robyn also set an incredible vibe (music, candlelight, relaxing aromatherapy, honey sticks for energy!) that made the room feel special instead of cold and sterile. My husband and I both agreed that having Robyn as our doula was one of the best decisions and we have a beautiful, healthy baby girl and only positive memories of the labor experience because she was such an important part of our birthing team. We love you Robyn!!

She has a very calm and attentive nature (and I love her South African accent!) During my labor & delivery (32.5 hours!) her assistance was invaluable, since my husband did not want to be in the room at all - since he was afraid of passing out...lol! She knows what she is doing to keep you and your family comfortable and to move the process along. I don't remember a lot about that weekend as I was exhuasted, in pain, & eventually took some drugs to help with the pain, so it was great to have Jaquelin's story of my birth, with all of her notes! She also took some still photos with my camera, so I would remember this important moment in my life! If you are even thinking of hiring a doula, look no further! Her postpartum visit was also very nice & I can honestly say that she was much more than just another body in the delivery room...I now consider her a family friend and we stay in touch often. She is well worth the money that she charges for her services...I only wished that insurance would cover it. Either way, if I did it again, I would still use her. Especially when C sections and medical interventions are at their highest. I was told to do some research on how to avoid unnecessary C sections and this eventually led me to a doula. I was planning to move back home to California from Florida. I looked up doulas in the area. When Jaquilin returned my phone call I was a mess and nervous over becoming a new mom & screwing it up! She brought peace to my heart answered ALL my questions which brought hope for what was about to come. I was not sure if I could even hire a doula and still living in Florida at the time. I can remember standing in one the isles of a grocery store in Florida. I was so concerned over fish oil in DHA inside the prenatal vitamins. I called Jaquilin, feeling silly because she hadn't been hired yet, but she returned my phone call over such a silly question like that or, "I ran out of my prenatal vitamins and it's only been 2 days. I'm worried about the baby!" She was there and helped bring peace to me! I knew then, standing in the middle of the store that she was the doula for me! I moved back to California, finally at 7 months. When I hired Jaquilin and started the lamaze classes with her they were intimate, small and fun. Very "homie". As well as extremely informative. I felt free to ask any questions. Any! Our choice for birth was for it to be all natural, but in a hospital (we chose the UCLA midwives Westwood. Also an A+ experience) As I'm writing, I'm thinking there is just too many wonderful things and experiences with jacqueline to to say! So I'm writing a list of the 1st ten things hat come to mind below!! My experience far superseded what I paid for and what I expected. I have the most memorable, REAL and intentional birth to thank from her support! 1. She was there for me after the birth, more than she "should" have. In regards to me being at risk for post Partum depression. Supported me all the way through & called in to check up on and make sure I made the phone calls I needed. 2. Jaquilin came over at exactly the right time during my labor. Supported me in all the ways I wanted and needed in order to move into active labor and through the pain. 3. Helped me with my birth plan and met me For walks in the park. 4. Helped me find organic and holistic approaches to many things. 5. The birth!!!! The birth was exactly what I asked for. Exactly!!!! She believed in me the whole time and I in turn believed in my bodies ability to do exactly what it needed to do. 6. I used her experience and knowledge with birth as my guide. I needed her to know when I was ready to go the hospital (I know I would have gone way to soon if I didn't have her!) and because of that there was no need for the hospital to do "hospital things" I was ready! 7. I showed up at 7 centimeters. (All the nurses and the midwives were impressed) I couldn't have done that without the support from my doula Jaquilin. 8. An hour after arriving I gave birth to Liam! Beautiful, all natural, healthy and strong! 9. She was there the whole way through, to the end & then some. 10. I didn't receive any narcotics or epidural. No medical interventions. I was aware. My birth was intentional and I was empowered. Thank you Jaquilin for helping me achieve the birth I was meant to have

It was my second baby so I felt confident before she was born, having very positive breastfeeding experience with my first. I thought the 4 different lactation consultants that did 10 minute drop by's at the hospital were more than enough. Until I realized, something was really wrong. My second baby wasn't eating, she was clicking and wasn't keeping her latch. I am so thankful my sister found Roza. She was highly recommended by many moms, and we decided to have an in person visit. Thank goodness we did! She weighed my baby before and after feeding, guided us and pointed us in the right direction. She validated my feelings, gave consideration to my maternal instincts and just gave us all the tools we needed to make it work. She took the time to listen to our concerns and tailored her guidance to fit our unique situation. With her help, we were able to overcome a hurdle that once felt insurmountable to me. Roza's calm demeanor and positive attitude inspired us to keep going, and her wealth of experience shone through in every session and communication (which she doesn't just leave you hanging- she's on call available for questions, clarifications, support and hope). She checked in on us repeatedly until she was sure the issues were resolved. Thanks to Roza, our breastfeeding journey has taken a beautiful turn, and we feel more empowered and connected than ever! My little baby girl is a whopping 22 lbs at 5 months and she's latching and breastfeeding like a champ now! Roza saved not only my breastfeeding journey, but saved my baby a lot of pain and frustration, and for that, we are forever indebted to this wonderful woman. I wholeheartedly recccommend her to anyone seeking guidance in their breastfeeding journey!

I began with Rebecca's prenatal yoga classes in my second trimester after being fortunate enough to team up with her to be my birth doula. Even virtually, Rebecca managed to cultivate a deeply loving community. I looked forward to each class, which had the perfect balance of practice and open shares from each participant on our pregnancy journeys (the high highs and low lows). I can say without question that Rebecca made what could have been a traumatic birth experience into one that I look back on with empowerment and even (some) joy ("some" cause, I mean, c'mon it's still childbirth). I was in agony in early labor and when she arrived, Rebecca's energy, focus, and experience completely shifted my experience. She knew exactly what I needed in terms of positions, massage, partner support, and how to best communicate with the medical team and advocate for myself. And when you get Rebecca for birth, you get her for life too! Rebecca's postpartum visit to our home was incredibly helpful to me and my partner in terms of the next steps and how we can support one another. She also connected me with a lactation consultant that we desperately needed when I was having nursing troubles early on. I've also enrolled in one of her Mommy + Me classes and she has, ONCE again, been a saving grace during an unavoidably challenging time. Having no immediate family in LA, it's critical for me to have a community of mothers I can turn to, and this class has given me just that. Not only do I have the classes and peers to turn to, but Rebecca continues to make herself available to me via text to answer any (usually anxiously silly) questions I have. Any parent will know that sometimes you just need to ugly cry in front of other people who know exactly why you're ugly crying, and this class makes space for that as WELL as opportunities to learn what the heck it is I'm supposed to be doing. Rebecca meets each of her clients (and babies) where they are, providing support, love, wisdom, and a safe, judgment-free space to feel every feeling that comes with parenthood.
