They showed us exercises to work on then at 7 months and exercises  to work on during labor and they were very helpful and kind. Bri was with us when I went into labor at home and because of a Florida law after waters breaking if you have a home birth and 12 hours have passed you have to relocate to the hospital to give birth. Bri was so kind enough to come with us to the hospital and stayed for the whole process including my unexpected and unplanned c-section. Not only was she knowledgeable with any questions we had in the hospital but she also gave us a sense of calm and care that we so needed during that stressful time. Bri even suited up and supported us in the operating room during the surgery. Bri even stopped by our house before we got home to drop off the placenta. Bri came to our home for a follow-up visit a few weeks after our Jack was born to answer any questions or concerns we had and to see how we were all doing. We are so lucky to have had Bri on her side and appreciate her so very much! Marie came to our home for the childbirth education course. She pulled up her slides on her computer and we connected it to our television. It was incredibly helpful to learn both home and hospital birth situations as I mentioned above we had to relocate to the hospital and make some very tough decisions. This was a two-part course so Marie came to our home on two separate occasions. Marie was also there to answer any questions we had about the birth and when baby arrived and how to care for him. If you're looking for a doula team you must choose One Love Doula. They won't disappoint. This was our first pregnancy after a 36 week pregnancy loss, so we were anxious to say the least. Having Dee as a resource bounce questions off of, knowing we would get an honest response based on her year of practice and knowledge, was very comforting, and lowered our anxiety during pregnancy and the birth, quite a bit. As the doctors and nurses recommended various interventions, we were able to ask her opinion on them and never felt pressured to do what she suggested. I'm currently in the process of taking Barefoot Birth to court for money I prepaid for their…read moreservices. I made a prepayment before 36 weeks and it is not being returned. I informed them I would be transferring care at 32 weeks. I told the owner that I would pay for any prenatal appointments I went to, but she made a bill with fees I was not aware of. My invoice was the exact amount I prepaid which is very suspicious. The invoice even said my $500 deposit was a charge for some reason instead of applied to my balance like the contract states. The invoice seemed to be made in a rush and its purpose to zero out my account so they could keep my money. I will add my entire experience after court. In the meantime, if you choose this midwifery, ask them to outline their fees and what you owe after every appointment to avoid this. Overall disappointed with Charlie's (owner) handling of this issue.

As soon as I met Mary Catherine I knew I wanted her to be a part of my birth experience. She made…read moreme feel so relaxed and comfortable. It felt like we had been friends for years. I explained to her my desire to have a VBAC, which she was very supportive of and helped calm all of my anxieties. Our communication was great all throughout my pregnancy. She came to our house a few times to meet with me and my husband to discuss any questions we had, as well as accompanied me to one of my appointments with the midwife. After my labor initially started fast and strong I began to stall and we discovered that my daughter had turned right occiput posterior. Fortunately, Mary Catherine was well-versed in "spinning babies" techniques, which ultimately helped my baby get back into the proper position and for labor to progress. She was right by my side for every contraction helping me to control my breathing, getting me in different labor positions, and using counter pressure on my back (which was AMAZING!). Without her support and knowledge I do not believe I would have been able to have the natural VBAC delivery I had hoped for. She was my rock throughout my 16 hour labor and her support was absolutely invaluable! Her services went above and beyond being a doula and encapsulating my placenta. I consider her part of our family now and will absolutely hire her to be a part of any future births we have. Thank you MC!!
