Wow! I am absolutely loving this place. Went for the first time just the other day and I was pleasantly surprised. I used to not like Indian food when I was younger, so as an adult, I am trying different places to see what I like! The non-discrimination statement sign on the window made me so happy. When I went inside, one of the first things I noticed was how nice the place was! Everything looks really clean and pretty modern. I was greeted when I came in and the host was very kind. I ordered to-go so I didn't have time to stay long, but I look forward to returning in order to get the full experience. I ordered the samosas, cheese naan, and vegetable biryani. I wasn't the biggest fan of the biryani but I have never been much a fan of biryani, so I think I will try the paneer tikka masala or the navaratna kurma next. BUT THE SAMOSAS!!! Whew!!! My first experience with this restaurant was 6 years ago when two friends visited from Santa Fe and Boston and were craving Indian so they found this place online and we ordered takeout - we all loved everything! My husband and I recently came here to dine in for the first time and we were very impressed! Everything tasted delicious with the bonus of being "express". Our server was very attentive and everything was brought out promptly. The place is really nice and clean too with lots of seating and I enjoyed watching the Indian music videos that were displayed. We ordered the samosas, Paneer Tikka Masala, Chicken 65, Garlic Naan, and Bathura - we would order all again. Funny thing is while there I called my dad (who also likes Indian food) if he would like me to get him anything and I found out he had just been there two days earlier -he always gets the goat curry :) We will definitely be back! read more

We tried this place on the way to the airport and it was a decent buffet. They had good but limited vegetarian options. They had veg puff and mini samosa and I expected them to taste same but both had filling which tasted different from each other, which was really good! We tried their unlimited dosa and all dosas we tried were delicious - plain dosa, Mysore masala dosa, cheese dosa, andhra spicy dosa! Overall I thought it was a bit pricey for the location but I'm not a local and I don't know how much it costs in other restaurants. But the food is good! read more

As others here have noted, I'd too call this restaurant a "hidden gem" in a small nondescript strip mall in Westlake...you'd totally drive by this place without giving it a thought, but don't!!! You'd surely be missing out on this delicious spot for Indian food. Had a lunch here recently with a good friend, and we decided to grab a bunch of dishes and share them. We ordered an appetizer, two main dishes and naan. The meal started with an order of samosas stuffed with potatoes and peas. They came with the traditional green chutney and brown tamarind sauces. These pillows of deliciousness were lightly fried and of course paired well with both sauces (I usually combine them for a tangy, sweet bite). Next up came the two main dishes along with a basket a fried garlic naan. Honestly, this may have been some of the best naan I've ever had...warm, slightly chewy but a cracker like bottom crust drizzled with oil, herbs and of course garlic. Perfect for dipping in the sauces of the mains! For the two plates, we chose their special boneless chicken biryani (of course!) and goat vindaloo. The biryani was chock full of seasoned and grilled chicken chunks mixed with their delicious rice combination. It had a slight kick which was amped up by the mustard-like sauce they provided. Heat too much for you?...try a little cooling herbed yogurt sauce to give the bite more balance. I'm not a huge fan of goat, but when it's done right the flavors can be wonderful...the vindaloo dish was one of those times. The thick, rich brown gravy contained seasoned (bone in) goat cooked in a spicy sauce with potatoes and other herbs. The garlic nann made for the perfect vehicle to sop up the addictive gravy and the goat meat was as tender as you can get. There was so much food in these dishes that we just couldn't get through it all...so leftover lunch portions were taken home to be enjoyed the next day (which my wife did with glee!). This is easily the best Indian food in the area. I eat there at least once a week (often twice) and the food is always delicious, the flavors layered and deep. I've been going here for about 5 years. About a year or 2 ago it slipped, the quality wasn't what it had been but I'm happy to say that in the last 6 months it has been outstanding and the service is always great. I haven't had a single thing that I didn't like. If you enjoy Indian cuisine do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. read more

This comment is so true because the restaurant make delicious food. The wait time to get your food is decent and the customer service was great. They make sure they take good care of you. The restaurant ambience might not be very stylish or roomy. But it has great lighting and a cozy feel. True to the name, their Briyani tasted Heaven!! Their Mango lassi is so much sweeter than most of the Indian restaurants I have had. They have a lot of vegetarian options and vegan options as well. They don't have any outdoor seating. My wifes go to is the Gogura Goat biryani. She usually likes lamb but lamb isnt as good here. I got the special boneless chicken and the chicken 65 and i think they are the same chicken. Going by the restaurant name, I was expecting that they would have some authentic biriyani. Alas, good try but not close. I hv tried their chicken and goat biriyani, out of which I prefer the goat biriyani over chicken one. Their biriyani are not bad, good to eat but lacks that authentic taste of spices and condiments. Biriyani is incomplete without the richness of ghee, smell of cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, mint leaves etc. topped with fried onions; and all of which seemed missing in their biriyani imo. Nevertheless, I'd still be a returning customer here as I love biriyani and I haven't found any better biriyani in the area yet. Again, their biriyani tastes good, its just not authentic. I forgot to take pictures but after initial disappointment, we ended up thoroughly enjoying our dishes and the prices were very reasonable as well as the portions. I went in hoping to get the South Indian thali and when I got to the restaurant they had a veg thali that didn't include the dosa or other s. Indian items. We tried to order that but we're told they only had Thalis on weekdays, it was a Sunday. Instead, we ordered bhindi masala, which is chopped differently than pictured on the website but was still good, Chana masala, cheese naan and garlic naan as well as butter chicken and raita. Rice came with all 3 of our main dishes. The raita never came but was also not on our bill so they must not have processed or possibly didn't hear the order. My kids loved everything, especially the cheese naan and rice, though I found the rice a bit dry. The mango lassi was a hit! The whole family ended up enjoying the food. I'll return. The new color is a bit dour from the warmth of the original one. The background music was also very lacking as it was just instrumental without the excitement of actual singers. The food however, was amazing. I was told that it was a new chef, but using the same recipes. I tried their new Thali lunch special. For those not familiar with Indian food, its a nice way to sample a variety of dishes and flavors. I also ordered my favorite from here; butter chicken. The Thali was good. With a nice variety in the textures and flavors, though next time I will go slightly less spicy. But it was a true buffet of taste. The butter chicken was great! While I liked it before, the new one was creamier and richer than before. It blended nicely with the rice and made it an absolutely enjoyable lunch. For those that love naan as I do, the new naan is great. Its toasted perfectly and has a good chew. I look forward to sampling the other varieties. And finally; the best part of my lunch, the Mango Lassi. A staple for anyone that loves Indian food, this was by far one of the best I've ever had. Another fantastic Indian restaurant...YESSS!!! I LOVE Indian food and this spot is one of my need favorites. They offer both Northern and Southern Indian dishes, which I adore for the variety. As an Indian who has had a lot of biryanis in his life, I give this place all the 5 stars that it truly deserves. This place is not your regular Indian place where you get just average Naan bread and butter chicken. This place has taste and you can tell the food is made with some effort put into thinking how it tastes. I ordered the Egg curry and Chicken Biryani. The curry was nicely made (as it is cooked back in India). The curry was mildly hot and spiced perfectly, just how you'd like it to be. The chicken biryani was made just like a biryani is made. The chicken was fresh and a delight to bite into. The rice was cooked in all the quintessential spices and was impeccable. Food is all really good. Gobi Manchurian was one of the best I've had. I wish the chicken tikka portion was bigger but the flavors were great. My problem with so many Indian restaurants is that they use the same heavy cream and tomato sauce on every dish. Biryani Hut is different. Each subji has its own complimentary flavor, reminiscent of home. My only complaint is with a single employee. Every time he has answered the phone or been the cashier, he gives a vibe like I'm a pain in his ass just for ordering food. Like he'd rather be on his phone than deal with customers. This is a hidden gem of delicious Southern Indian food! A former coworker of mine introduced me to this place and I love the food here! The food is fresh and the flavors and seasonings have always been nicely balanced. The location isn't the greatest since it's in a low traffic shopping center, but the word has spread quickly in the Desi community, because it's been pretty busy when I've gone the last few times. The dining room is pretty casual here, nothing fancy..just basic tables and chairs and waiter service. The chicken dum biryani there is excellent! Well, if you're Biryani Hut, the biryani sure as hell better be good, right? The Basmati rice is super light and the chicken is tender without being over spiced. It's a big portion too! I've also had both the Chicken 65 and Gobi (cauliflower) 65 which are two of my favorites. The Chicken Pepper Fry is definitely something I'd recommend too. None of these dishes have been too spicy in case that's a concern. Ask them and they can alter the level of spice to your liking. Also, the naan is as good as any Indian restaurant in town! Fluffy and soft... My only gripe is that the prices are a bit on the higher side in my opinion. I had an old carry out menu and they definitely increased everything by a buck or two. This has become our new local Indian restaurant. The menu is very diverse with all the options one could expect at an Indian restaurant. They also have a very functional website for online ordering. If you are getting takeout/delivery then I recommend ordering on the website because they have an additional spicy level that is not available on Uber for example. My wife and I were staying by the airport and planned to go out for dinner. We were beat after the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame so we ordered Indian from the hut. It was really delicious! We ordered Kemma Biryani and saag paneer - spinach with cheese, and samosa. When I got there it smelled so good. It's a smaller restaurant with seating for 30 maybe and a waiting area for 5-6. The owner was there and we chatted until the food arrived. They were sure that I had plates and utensils and napkins as we were in the hotel. I got the biryani spicy and it was spicy, not crazy spicy but enough to make you sweat a bit. The paneer was smooth and creamy and yummy! My mom and I came here for dinner tonight, this was both of our first times trying Indian food, and I'm already excited to go back, and try the next dish! The staff was friendly and very patient with us as they explained the dishes & pronunciations. This place came REALLY hyped to me as the best Indian food in Cleveland. Dinner definitely lived up to the hype. Lunch though? No good at all. Dinner: I ordered about $150 worth of food for a party with friends, so had a chance to try MANY different meals. There were a HUGE number of vegetarian options, and I thought everything was very good - the spice level was awesome. At dinner, I loved: - Veg Mix Curry - Dal Tadka - Basil Garlic Naan At dinner, my meat-eating friends LOVED: - Chettinand Chicken - Butter Chicken - Kadai Chicken At lunch, I didn't love: - Gobi Manchurian and the Crispy Masala Pepper Corn (my friends loved there - they just weren't my thing. fried food is not my fav) At lunch, I didn't like AT ALL: - Thali - I usually LOVE thalis. They're essentially these plates with different side dishes so you get little samples of everything. I was super disappointed by the vegetarian thali at lunch. The papad was tasteless; the mirchi ka salan and raita were NOT spicy even though I asked for hot (I have a super high spice tolerance); and most of the plate was rice. Not a fan and wouldn't order again. Additionally, at lunch in the restaurant, the AC was broken so it was INCREDIBLY hot and they didn't have any chai or coffee (An issue for me because I really needed caffeine). This food was really good considering GrubHub driver and yelp allowed for my food to be delivered poorly and cold. Again food was good but since the GrubHub driver dropped off the food and never let me know. .Yelp app stated it was delayed but the time never updated so I called. Good sat outside my hotel room door for 45 minutes. Didn't know this until I called. Even had it in the notes to text or call when at hotel. Lori at GrubHub could cared less. So after 23 minutes on the phone with them I was finally credited for my meal. I then called the restaurant to let them know about the bad delivery experience. He just saying you have your food and nothing they could do. Which is absolutely true. And he would have taken 2 seconds to let me finish my sentence. He would have understood I was letting him know so he was aware. Bad delivery service hurts these restaurants too! So Karma came to the store clerk as I am sharing the bone sliver in my food. I get goat is cut into cubes but they should still do a better job of checking their product. read more

This is by far my favorite Indian restaurant in NE Ohio. The meat is always tender, the vegetables are fresh tasting and the portions are huge. Wow, legitimately one of the best curries I've ever had. Butter chicken, Medium Hot, came with plenty of long grain white rice. The spices were perfect, the tomato/butter sauce was on point, nice and hot when I got to sit down with it (10 min ride in the car). Couple things. Dining room is NOT open. I'll see if I can update Yelp. Also, the menu had the wrong price listed, but the lady taking my order let me know ahead of time it would be $12.99 instead of $11.99. I've never sat down to eat but have gotten take out from here quite a few times. This is definitely one of the best biryanis in cleveland. My fiancé whose Kashmiri definitely craves this place often. I'm not sure what region of India they cook (we think andhra pradesh?) their goat fry biryani is amazing!! It comes with this great sauce on the side. We've tried their other meat biryanis and this one is our favorite. We also really like their vegetarian samosas and the chicken 65. For us an order of these three is the perfect amount of food. We find their portions very generous. Couple things: their chutneys and Raita are a bit watery but flavor wise are still good. Next door is the Indian store so we always pick up more yogurt because we like a thicker consistency. Their spice level is true to scale. We usually get spicy (3/4). I always make onions soaked with lemons on the side at home but you probably could request some from the restaurant. read more
