I really felt like I learned a lot after being here. A totally different experience to those pretentious sparky jewelers that give you the impression that you're wasting their time if you ask more than 3 questions. These folks know what they're talking about and you don't get the feeling that you're being ripped off or that they're trying to up-sell you constantly. I did a lot of shopping around for engagement rings prior to getting married. I must have visited 4-5 stores before finding the right ring. The people at Birzon were extremely helpful and willing to work with me on styles and cuts. I came in with a photo and ideas of what I wanted and they were able go provide multiple options and varieties around my specifications. She said yes (!!) and I liked them so much that we came back for our wedding bands. They were extremely helpful and I wouldn't overlook them. Do not go here. They really mistreated my friend and made her experience very uncomfortable. She left in tears and that is completely unacceptable. This should be an enjoyable and memorable experience and she was treated incredibly rudely and was forced into looking at styles she explicitly said she didn't want. I just visited Sid Birzon for the 6th or 7th time today and was very impressed with the customer service, so I thought I should finally write a review! A humble building leads way into a humble interior, but their prices are phenomenal and the customer service is great - especially compared to the mall jewelers. They don't have as much on display as other jewelers, but don't be afraid to talk to them about designing what you're looking for. Bought a "gold" necklace and gifting it to a friend few years ago from Birzon Jewelers and it began to turn skin green shortly after. It was sold as a gold necklace and not plated. Pretty embarrassing to have a friend tell you the chain was having issues. My advice to others is spend a little more and go to another jewelry store. read more

I used to like going to Birzon Jewelers. I've bought several pieces from them. Then they moved right around the corner from I was excited. I took my Anniversary band (the one my husband bought for me from Birzons) in to have it made bigger. They sent it out to be repaired. They called me that it came in so I went to pick it up. Sid's daughter Mindy or Mandy not sure which one, opened up the envelope and pulled out my ring. The only problem it wasn't my ring! It was a cheap replica of my original ring! She made a big deal of it like she did me a favor! I was livid that she did this especially since I never never authorized any such thing! I demanded MY ring! Then she got nasty with me and told me how ungrateful I was! I had all of my paperwork for the original ring. I demanded she get the ring back to me by the next day otherwise I would file a complaint against her for stealing my ring. She got it back to me the next day. I took my ring and went to a real jeweler who repairs rings on the premises in front of you. Then I find out that one of the diamonds was cracked and needed replacing. I blamed it on Birzons. I never bothered telling them I just haven't been back there since. It's been about 5 years and I tell anyone and everyone I can what was done to me at Birzons and tell them never buy anything from Birzons. Two weeks later Mindy/Mandy calls me and asks if there is anything she can do for me. I said yeah you can reimburse me for the $400 it costs me to have my diamond replaced because it was cracked and it happened when she had it. She wasn't willing to do anything for me anymore.
