They were honest about quality and cost, and sold me a GIA registered diamond. My wife loved the ring so much, we returned for our wedding bands and diamond necklaces for the bridesmaids. I've since returned for a "travel" wedding band for my wife, and my father has also bought jewelry from TAG. I would recommend TAG to anyone for any jewelry purchase. There is not a lot in the store, but they will tell you this keeps down their overhead...and thus their prices.

Assured was new in box looking. Then i showed up. Some random woman whom was completely clueless told me shed make some calls and immediately went back to playing candy crish on her phone. I wrote down my number and told them to call me when they found it.. 2 hours later some guy calls me 7 times (i send unknown calls to voicemail due to telemarketing issues) The guy (whom was basically screaming at me) advised he found it. Got him to knock 10 bucks off the price over the phone...figured once i arrived it would be better price in person with cash in hand. So i go there and this man says he has this "new in box canon lens" and hands me a lens in a ziplok bag. I looked at it.. Heres what i was handed; Yongnuo 50 mm lens for canon, non AF. Brand new from B&W photo it costs $38.00 I declined. They were also advertising on craigslist an AlienWare notebook with some shaky specs. It ended up being a 9 year old 5150 series obsolete laptop with a cracked lower bezel and bad battery. A 5 year old 3.5 inch GPS was 45 bucks with no cord. You have been warned... The place is filthy, a mess of piles upon piles of obsolete electronics and the like. All priced well over high new retail. The guy immediately takes offense when you show him actual prices being half or better.. Dont bother.

I've made various purchases along the way. I looked at my ring recently an realized that the head that held my center stone needed to be replaced. Over the years it wore out much like the tires on a car. I stopped in to have them do that work for me. The service was very polite and efficient. The knowledgable staff has been the same ,I assume because it's a family group. The repairs are done on site in the workshop that you can see from the show room. They have at least six jewelers/repairmen full time there. My ring was ready a week from drop off. I picked it up and again the service was polite and welcoming. I noticed later that there was something that needed an adjustment and I broke my pearl necklace, so I stopped back. They were very happy to do the adjustment and restring my pearls and the turn around was very efficient. Every staff member each time was friendly and helpful. Even when it was busy or couples got engaged there. It's a joy to have a local family business here in a time of chains and on line shopping. If you need something they probably have it , they can make it, repair it or order it. And they are so close !!!

Don't know the man's name, but as others have noted, I wasn't rushed, he was very patient, and, in the end did me a big favor. As a result of such outstanding customer service, I will go back, with an antique necklace that is missing a stone and I haven't been able to find one to match. I don't know what the other customer in the store bought, something in a small box, but the festive wrapping job the female employee did was first class! Concern: This section of Main St has almost no businesses any more, not in the mall, nor on the street (even the dollar store, CVS and Rite Aid have left). They're not certain how much longer they'll be able to stay in business due to the lack of foot traffic without other businesses nearby and with so many workers now working from home. Please patronize them before it is too late!
