I came here to let my 3 year old play. It does feel like you're in someone's huge backyard so you do have a sense of privacy. The playground is great. There are two playground one for 5-12 year old and a 2-5 year old. The playgrounds are gated so you're little one can run freely. The playground has many features to keep the little ones busy for awhile.

I really enjoy this park. Its a bit pushed into the surrounding neighborhood and the actual playground is surround by its own gate! There is also a baseball field which is used my the local jr team on the weekends. Theres also a small picnic area with benches and a cover to shad you from the sun. I appreciate this location not only for the seclusion but because of it safety and modern playground. There is two different play gyms. One area is ages 2-5 and the other is 6-12. Both sides are well maintained and safe! My kids love this park!

Attended softball games here. Located on the corner of a busy street and no bleachers. Must have your own chair.

I like the fact that the one for the 2-5 year olds has smaller slides a ride on car and quite a few swings.

They took over a giant covered outdoor area with a ton of picnic tables, clean and open and perfect for a large party (I assume they had to rent this). I've been to a lot of parks over the years, and most of them don't have comparable event spaces. The one disadvantage was that we were far away from the playground, much to the chagrin of my three-year-old, who kept demanding to leave the party in favor of the play structure he saw in the distance. Liberty Park is just a huge place with several different zones. We even switched parking lots once we got there and figured out where the actual party was, on the Camp Liberty side of the park. The party was really nice, pleasant and relaxing. We had lunch, watched the dohl ceremonies (he grabbed the stethoscope, securing his future as a doctor), took pictures, and hung out with family. Then, because I'm not a monster, I took my boy to the playground. It was a great playground, well maintained and pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Fewer kids, in fact, than teenagers working out and playing loud music nearby. I'm not complaining. In fact, my child was fascinated by their music and got as much entertainment from their speakers as he did from the play structure. I don't live anywhere near Cerritos, but if I did, I'd make good use of Liberty Park. What a lovely neighborhood resource, for both special events and everyday recreation.

This is such a well rounded park with a community center, walking track, pickleball, tennis courts,…read moreplayground and more! Highly recommend these courts for pickleball too because there are a lot of courts, friendly players and it's not too advanced of play. Been coming for the last three months and I see the same players all the time. Only downside of playing pickleball here is that the courts close at like 8pm-8:30pm which is actually atrocious. I forget exactly. When I run to the restroom from the tennis/pickleball area, which looks exactly like your average park restroom. I see people on the playground and other pickleball courts (3 in the middle) (2 on side). The track is crowded too! The parking does get full in the evening so you may need to park on the street.

They also have a separate play area specifically for toddlers. They don't allow any shoes inside, and everyone has to wear socks. It's a 2 hour admission with a wristband, and everyone has to sign a waiver beforehand. There is a dedicated party room that is separate from the play area. It's pretty large and with decent seating and lots of room for setting up food and a gift/cake table. It comfortably fit our group of roughly 50 adults and 20 kids. Restrooms are gender-neutral and they provide sandals to wear inside. Parking was pretty easy since it's adjacent to a large plaza. Overall, this spot is fun and great for kids!

Unfortunately, it's disappointing to see that the playground hasn't really been updated or improved over that time. Many of the play areas look exactly the same, and it would be nice to see some new equipment or renovations to keep the experience fresh for returning families. Another concern is safety. The facility doesn't require grip socks, and they don't even sell them on-site. Grip socks are important in indoor playgrounds because the floors and play structures can become slippery, increasing the risk of slips and falls. Implementing a grip sock policy would be a simple way to help keep kids safer. My son still enjoys coming here, but after so many years, I hope the owners invest in updating the facility and improving safety standards.
