I love this little neighborhood park. It has a nice playground and a tennis court. So much nice green grass. We had a great afternoon family party this weekend pre Easter celebration. The dogs were out sniffing around, squirrels were squirreling. Kids playing games hunting for eggs. Bathrooms were decent they could use some work but it seems most parks fall short in this arena. Since it's a neighborhood park there really isn't a parking lot but there was ample parking I didn't have to circle the park found a spot immediately. If I was to have any con is I could hear the train every time it went by but I'm sure if you live near you auto tune it out. Other than that I'll definitely visit again as my DIL just moved around the corner!! read more

The good: I was in the area for a Yelp Elite event and decided to stop by this park so my toddler could get some energy out. This is a nice park with large grassy areas, BBQ pit spots, picnic tables, and 3 playground areas with a cool woodsy theme. I liked how the metal component that holds the swing looks like a tree trunk with an owl inside. There are cushiony parts of the flooring that is nice and safe for kids. There were fun sand digging playground obstacles. I liked the slides that built into the slope on the hill. The bad: There's no bathroom. The zipline function was taken away so there was no zipline to play with. There are sandy parts of the playground. My toddler loves it but it's a huge mess. This review is specifically for the two (2) lighted tennis courts and the parking that's available. I've only visited the park after 5 p.m. during the workweek and after 3 p.m. on the weekends, so it can be busy, especially during the latter time. I definitely recommend going here if you want to play tennis - these are free to play on and you cannot reserve, like you can the El Dorado or Billie Jean King tennis courts. Big open space with a spread out playground. Love the circle swing, zipline, and treehouse themed play structures. Lots of sand and big trees. 2 lighted tennis courts. Lots of parking but next to 710 so loud and not enclosed or fence so watch the little ones. Bathrooms but not well maintained. Lots of parties on weekends. Great park! read more

Park is nestled in this corner of Long Beach, alongside the blueline. My son liked all the trees and said it looks like a forest. The first time I've been here in years; the playground seems a little run down since it's been installed five years ago. Bathrooms are up a hill on the other side of the park, which is not the most not convenient. read more

The remodel on this park is amazing. The zipline has a line for days, but it moves pretty fast. There are enough different areas that kids are able to navigate between them and extend their play for hours. It's both amusing and frustrating to watch them use the digging contraptions, however. One hand controls the vertical movement of the crane, and the other hand controls the scoop mechanism. Kids have a really hard time figuring this out and multitasking. It's like a more advanced version of pat your head and simultaneously rub your stomach. While watching, I go from being amused to wanting to go yell at the children and show them how it's done. I'm not crazy, though, so I just sit there quietly and keep all these impulses to myself. Lol. Minus a star because there are always ten million kids on the spinning thing and they always fly off. The concrete is way too close in that area, and I'm just waiting for someone to crack open their head. Also, there was a family having some barbecue at a table, and they were vaping weed the entire time. Keep it classy, people. It's a public place and there are children present. read more

I am frightened to write this review for the purpose of keeping this park a secret! This park is so great now that they remodeled it. It had a treehouse theme with a zip line. Only downfall is I am not a fan of sand, and it's 50/50 sand soft asphalt. But It reminds me of the parks we had as kids in the 80s and 90s. The tree cover gives off a lot of shade and it's in a great neighborhood. Great job to the city for this remodel. read more

It's a big park. Sadly the playground is closed but it's one of the biggest I've seen with a tiny zip line for kids. Usually we do two laps which is about a mile with our dog. Wow what an awesome upgraded playground! We visited this park a few years ago and never went back until now. A few years ago the kids playground was outdated and not very fun. The new updated one is amazing! I love that there are various interactive stations spread throughout the play area so that even during the busier moments, the kids aren't packed all in one area. This playground has so many fun features I can't even name everything so I'll just post pics, but a favorite of many kids is the zip line. The only thing I'm not too happy about is that the bathroom aren't near the playground, actually I'm not sure where they are, but I assume they're at the top of the hill. This park also has a nice tennis court area and lots of green space for picnicking or maybe for rolling down the hill. There are a few benches and tables, but it's mostly green space. read more

Lovely park but I wish perverts would stop laying around on top of each other under blankets there. Hello it's by an elementary school! I feel like every time I go there I see this kind of nonsense and it really makes me mad. I'd like to spray those people down with a hose of cold water. Aside from this disgusting distraction it's a wonderful park to take your dogs/kids. Lots and lots of space to have a party/play volleyball...or even find a quiet corner to read or have a picnic on your own. The Long Beach Parks & Recreation does not maintain the cleanliness of this park. Los Cerritos Park restrooms were so terribly nasty, dirty, unhygienic and can cause the spread of viruses and diseases. We're from another city and we're there to attend a child's birthday gathering. The park was beautiful but not properly cleaned & maintained. The tennis courts does not have any sign as we saw couple young teenage girls rolling skating inside the court which should not be allowed as it'll ruin the surface. read more

Funny thing is I went here for a concert, it made a good venue, there is a lot of parking to accommodate all the people who'd showed up I'd say well over 100. It was big enough to have a stage and a few vendors while at the same time you can get your peaceful wholesome park experience on the other side, it's huge over there! read more

I love this park! So many memories. When I was in high school, I always remember ditching here with my boyfriend lol Now, we come here to walk our dog and have little picnics with my sisters. Very clean and well-maintained. Great for parties and such. There is a tennis court, bbq pits, benches and tables, and even bathrooms. Situated in the neighborhood of Bixby Knolls and the American Pie Neighborhood is across, as well. read more

This park sucks for one simple reason - its close to the 710. You will be breathing in particles/dust from car parts and the freeway noise is very LOUD. We played tennis there and it was horrible- not peaceful at all. read more

This is by far the park in LB that I frequent most from walking Tank and running/exercising here. Park is very peaceful and quiet, except for the metro-line train that roars by once or twice an hour. Other than that, pretty cool park to take the kids or run the hills for some short cardio sprints. Plenty of parking around the park, decent size and has tennis courts and bbq pits. This is probably the best park we have ever brought our daughter to. The playground equipment is new and not the usual bright colors. There is a zip line for older kids, drums, digger machines, swings, and a few slides. Everything is nature themed too which is nice compared to the other parks/playgrounds we've been to. read more

Hidden Gem, like to bring my Goddaughter here so she can run around and be a Crazy Lil' Girl that she is. Doesn't get to crowded, possibly cause it's off the beaten path. Also bring many of my wedding and quinceañeras here for there E-Sessions or shoots the day of their event. Don't have to worry about all the crazy crowds in my shots. Love this park. read more

Had a small BBQ with the family here today and was really impressed by how there was hardly anyone there. The restrooms were clean with the exception of the ants every where. I didn't like the fact that you couldn't use your own private BBQ grill so we had to use the parks grill that waste a lot of heat. Not the parks fault so I still gave it five stars. Very clean park. It's like your very own private park. I would definitely be back again some day. read more

Very nice park with and everything is brand new and I love the nature and tree theme of the play ground for kids. So many different stuff and slides. The park is big and out and the open and feels safe. The only down side is the sand and the train is very loud as well. But overall the park is clean. With a lot of trees. This is my neighborhood park so I am always here. This park is perfect to walk/hangout with your dog or your date. It is also very small and private especially on weekdays that you will find it very relaxing to come and unwind here. Perhaps bring a book or something. You'll often see some kids hanging around here, since it's right next to an elementary school. It has two tennis courts, which is almost always available to use so you don't need to worry about that. On weekends, it might get busy because people throw parties here and stuff but still a very clean and fun park! read more
