The food was much better than I had expected! We had a share for the table item which I thought would've come up before the meal but everything came out together. The place was nice and clean we beat the mid-morning rush. I tried the lavender mimosas I would say it was way more juice than sparkle. The plain biscuits was much better than the French toast style biscuit. I definitely would like to go back and give the pancakes a try, I saw them after I had placed my order and it was too late but overall good experience and would recommend.

So it's really a hit or miss these days. I have been to Biscuit Belly 3 times this past year, including today. Only 1 out of 3 times was good, today is not that time. Today everything was cool to lukewarm at best. Food did not taste fresh. Biscuit was dense rather than fluffy....and did the biscuit shrink? It was a sad experience and I could have done better at home. Took my mom again today and she said the same - she remembered it to be good, but it's not good anymore. How unfortunate. I do feel like it has to do with how busy they are.....busier, fresher food, more tasty. The last time I went when I thought the food was yummy, I remember they were busy that day. So food took longer to come out, but that's okay when the food was tasty. As it is, it's hard to want to go back nor would I recommend it. A restaurant I would frequent would be one that I can count on quality food regardless of how busy (or not busy) it is. This is a far cry from the 5-star review I left 2 years ago when Biscuit Belly Hoover first opened!

If you're looking for great food and even better customer service, you've got to try Biscuit Belly at Brock's Gap Village. It's one of my go-to spots, and trust me....we police officers know where to find the good eats. The food is always on point, and the friendly staff just make the experience even better. Give it a try.......you won't be disappointed.

Generous portions. Sausage gravy or mushroom gravy options. Staff is attentive and efficient. Maple mayo sauce (I don't recommend). Bloody Mary was a bit small for $11.00. Chill, open, clean bathrooms.

Amazing breakfast and sandwiches. My daughters go to is the bacon egg and cheese biscuit with the berry jam. This time around she ordered the yogurt and berry bowl. I ordered the Meet Me in the club sandwich with home fries and a side of fried green tomatoes. The sandwich was very good, the home fries were way over cooked, and the friend green tomatoes......let's just say they were very soggy and way too chewy. Some bites were inedible. It gets busy on Saturdays but the service is very fast.

Found this place on Yelp and wanted to try it. The line was long; literally out the door, but it moved pretty quickly and the food came out quickly. The sausage gravy was excellent. Lots of sausage crumbles. The biscuits are huge. The fried chicken on The Rockwell was delicious. The bonuts? Yes. Get them. The menu has so many great looking options it was actually tough deciding what to eat, so we went with items marked as "favorites." We were not disappointed. This place is absolutely worth checking out. A line out the door can't be wrong.

This is an okay breakfast and brunch place in Hoover. I've had better breakfast and brunch food at other establishments. The food seems more simple here so it probably is more kid and family friendly. The bonuts are their specialty. I got them with a side of jam.

During our visit to the Birmingham area, two unrelated people raved about Biscuit Belly, so we had to give it a shot! The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, but with the rain coming down just as we arrived, we chose to sit inside. The space was nice and clean and gave off a welcoming, family-friendly vibe! I ordered the Rockwell along with a side of fruit and a coffee. The chicken was tasty, but I found the biscuit a bit too thick for my liking. On the bright side, the service was fantastic--quick and efficient! Overall, I'd rate this a solid 3.5 experience!

Checked out Biscuit Belly on a recent trip driving up North from Louisiana after an overnight stay nearby. Woke up with a hunger pang and knew I had to get my fix before hitting the open road. Started working my Google/Yelp fingers and found myself making immediate plans to hit up this spot before my trek resumed. I got myself a bacon, egg, and cheese of course on a biscuit. Everywhere in the world is obviously different but I did think it was a tad bit steep coming in at just under $10 for the sandwich alone, but I tried to keep that from influencing me before I gave it a shot. The woman who helped me was very friendly and the establishment (although I was taking this to go) was very clean and well lit. So the biscuit was fantastic. They make these fresh daily and you could tell. I do understand that with quality comes cost, but I still feel this is overpriced. It was fairly small and aside from the biscuit being a real winner, it was just an egg, some bacon, and a slice of cheese past that. The woman inside did suggest adding honey so I tried that after a few bites and that was a nice addition that I'd never tried before. I'll be trying a little honey on all biscuit sandwiches moving forward. Biscuit Belly definitely Didn't Suck, but I couldn't justify eating here often with those prices.

Where do I start! This is the best breakfast in town! The menu is overwhelming. The kitchen is visible to the public and it's amazingly clean. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I can't wait for our next visit. I am going to try something I haven't had yet.

Because of the intense Alabama heat, we chose to sit inside, though they have a really nice screened-in patio available. The restaurant is intimate but well laid out, featuring a couple of distinct dining areas and a bar. Since it was our first time, our server, Daniella, recommended the candied bacon bombs to start. They came with a side of cheese curds, and both were absolutely delicious. Even as small as the curds were, they had a perfect cheese pull! For our mains, I ordered the cowboy burger with an added egg and a side of sweet potato fries, while my son chose the shrimp and grits. My burger was incredible, a solid 9.5 out of 10. My son rated his shrimp and grits a 7, though he has a lot of experience with that dish to compare it to. Daniella provided fantastic service, checking in at just the right times without hovering. I later realized I forgot to ask if they do anything special for birthdays, but honestly, my son was probably glad I forgot! Overall, it was a great meal, excellent service, and a very cool environment.

Because this is in the same parking lot as first watch, which is a breakfast/lunch restaurant the parking lot was pretty packed. We got there around 12 and luckily he was able to find a parking spot. As soon as we walked in, we could tell it was pretty busy in there. I saw a couple getting up from a table and immediately went over and sat at the table. It is table service, but you do have to order at the counter. They have a pretty good variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. Unfortunately, due to an outbreak for lettuce that is getting people sick I decided against getting a salad. I just got a regular cheeseburger and it was delicious. Because when I walked in and asked the very nice guy at the register what their best item was, he didn't hesitate for even half a second. "Fried chicken club sandwich. Hands down." Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.

It was delicious, and of course, I made a happy plate! They also provide bread while you wait for your food, and they'll bring you more upon request--a nice touch! My friend got the Fish Tacos with cabbage, charred corn salsa, and spicy sriracha sour cream, along with a side of fried spinach from their secret menu. The secret menu consists of about five items that are no longer on the regular menu, but they'll still prepare them if you ask. She said the fish was perfectly charred around the edges and absolutely delicious. Just make sure you check your teeth after eating the spinach! Our server, Kayleigh, did a great job taking care of us and made the experience even better. And congratulations to her--she graduates from cosmetology school next month! ‍ Wishing her all the best in her next chapter! Two great meals, great service, and another good experience!

If you want a flawlessly executed steakhouse dinner in the Birmingham area without the pretentious price tag, this is your place. I ordered the 12oz ribeye with a baked potato, and both were cooked exactly to order. My wife started with their huge, fresh house salad before tackling the massive 16oz ribeye and a fully loaded baked potato. Honestly, the 16oz cut looked like something straight out of The Flintstones--it was beautifully charred, incredibly juicy, and absolutely massive. The service matched the stellar quality of the kitchen. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and kept my sweet tea topped off the entire night (which is no easy task!). We wrapped up the evening with a slice of chocolate cake. It was literally the size of a diner-style napkin dispenser--decadent, moist, and downright delicious. Budget-wise, it's a high-end steakhouse experience, so expect to spend a little money. However, compared to other premium steakhouses around Birmingham, their pricing is incredibly fair and easily on the lower end of the fine-dining spectrum. You get amazing portions, top-tier quality, and fantastic service. Highly recommended!

I also had the smokehouse burger, and it was hands-down one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Everything tasted fresh and was cooked just right. What really stood out beyond the food was the overall experience. The staff was incredibly nice, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing, which made us feel right at home. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable, and even the bathrooms were spotless, which always says a lot about a place. It also hasn't been very busy the times we've gone, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Even so, the food came out quickly and was still hot and fresh, which is the best of both worlds. We actually loved it so much that we went back again just a couple of days later, and it was just as good the second time around. If you're looking for great Southern food, friendly service, and a laid-back dining experience, Dale's Southern Grill is definitely worth a visit. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the kids' chicken finger meal. I tried one of the chicken fingers when biting it to give to my toddler, and it wasn't good. The taste was weird and it was gummy. I ended up not giving her them.
