The shaved ham they add to it is so tasty, with the perfect amount of saltiness. The egg on top adds a nice touch. The Princess is another great option, which is their take on hot chicken on a biscuit (of course) with mustard and pickles. Even just a plain biscuit with jam and butter is an excellent choice. And they have a "Grapefruit Brûlée", which is half a grapefruit with sugar flamed like a Creme Brûlée. This location is in an old house, which makes for a super charming experience, and they also have outdoor dining (including covered outdoor dining in the back). When I pulled up I was surprised to find the restaurant in an old house. The inside is decorated with the house rooms still divided up. You order at the front and they assign you a table they will bring your food to. I got the East nasty which is a chicken biscuit with gravy and an egg. Other than the chicken being slightly chewy the food was very good. I will try and find one of these one I go out now is how good it was. The biscuit and gravy is the way to go and maybe add an egg. I do think for the price you should have someone serving you at your table, especially with several workers standing around and people getting their own drinks. read more

What a delicious stop in Franklin! Here's the thing, though, and this is like, THE THING... You really need to have that biscuit love. It's all biscuits all the time. I enjoyed a simple biscuit breakfast sandwich while there, and it was just perfection; the right balance of salty and sweet. We were served up some tableside biscuit donuts (very sweet, but still delicious). My parents both ordered the "French toast" which was similar to a bread pudding type of breakfast. Entirely too sweet for their tastes, and mine, but if you got the syrup on the side, it was a bit more palatable. Everyone was well spaced inside, people were quite regulated when it came to wearing masks, and even though we were inside (there is outdoor seating), I felt safe and protected during the pandemic due to how few tables could actually be used. This was another long wait for a well renowned brunch spot. This food was the best. Chicken and waffles was perfect. I would have given more love had the service been better. To reduce the ordering rush you order at a central register inside the restaurant and beyond the front door. This keeps things simple as you pay and you go find your dining table at the direction of the cashier/hostess. Once seated our drinks arrived and food arrived in average time. Once the food arrives you better ask for any condiments like extra syrup, ketchup or creamer etc because for us....we didn't get a happiness check. Also, they offer fresh squeezed orange juice! 3rd - sit in the room to the right of the entry right in front of the 3 big windows. It's all about the ambiance . One thing to consider- make sure and order all of your items at one time, at the front. If not, you will make several different purchases at a time. If you're like me and didn't register that you need to order all at the register. Although they can do purchases at the table, if they are busy, that could be difficult for the server. I've been here twice now and that sausage gravy is amazing. Just fill a bath tub with it and let me soak in that stuff! My first trip here I tried the East Nasty. A huge piece of boneless dark meat chicken, deep fried and dripping in the aforementioned gravy. Oh-ma-gerd! This is a great way to start the morning. Tender chicken, hearty gravy and two warm pillowy biscuits. This doesn't come with eggs, but you can easily order a side of them. My second trip had me trying the Southern Benny. Shaved ham, over-easy eggs, that insane gravy on top of two huge biscuits. This is actually my fav meal here, the ham is delicious and mixed with the sausage gravy it's a ham on ham love fest. During both of my trips here we tried the Bonuts, these are a must. Fried and sugared biscuit dough, lemon marscapone and blueberry compote. Need I say more?! This seating style here is open. You order at the counter and find a seat. The venue is really awesome, inside an old Victorian home and there's plenty fo space to sit and a huge outdoor patio when the weather is warmer. We stopped at Biscuit Love to have breakfast while in Franklin and really enjoyed our experience. When you walk in, you proceed to the counter to place your order. The person taking our order was very patient and explained some things to us since we had never been to Biscuit Love before. There were three of us in our group and we ordered the classic omlette and the egg plate. All the food was delivered fairly quickly and was hot. It was all delicious - very flavorful. The price is probably on the med-to-high side for the portion sizes. The service was excellent. This location (Franklin) is an older house remodeled for the restaurant. The dining area is divided among rooms on the ground floor. I would recommend for a lazy Saturday or Sunday morning breakfast. read more

Biscuit Love has always been one of our favorite spots in Franklin--we've been coming here since 2020 and usually have a great experience with both the food and service. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. To start, we spent $65 on two plates of biscuits and gravy, a latte, and a side of cheese grits, which felt excessive. Then, when my latte arrived, the cup hadn't been properly washed--it had a lipstick stain on the side. When our food came, it was cold, and the biscuits seemed like a smaller portion compared to how they used to be served. On top of that, when I asked for a to-go cup for my coffee, there were no lids available, so my drink went cold quickly in the 30-degree weather. We've always loved Biscuit Love, but this experience left us very disappointed. While we understand the need for markups, $65 for biscuits and subpar service is hard to justify. Sadly, we'll have to think twice before returning, especially considering how expensive it might be for a family to dine here. read more

At times this place is very busy, which means you start by waiting outside in a line. If it's hot, be prepared. AC works okay inside, thank goodness. You order at a counter (friendly person) and are assigned a table. (Don't try to reserve one yourself by plopping down there.) Food comes pretty soon. Ambience is country classic. Now to the food. It's incredibly delicious. The tastiness of the food is the good news. It's also incredibly unhealthy. I wouldn't even want to know the nutritional content. So this isn't a place where you should eat several times a week if you want to live to a ripe old age. But sadly...each time we go it becomes less and less appealing. Today we waited an hour in line for a meal that was mediocre at best. The Veggie bowl had 1 mushroom, 1 slice of zucchini, 1 cube of sweet potato, on top of grits (with little flavor) and very little seasoning throughout. My husband ordered the hungry bowl that left little to be desired. The biscuits were....just ok. All in all it's just not worth it anymore. I would be even more disappointed if I were here traveling because I would have much higher expectations for the wait and price. I am rooting for Biscuit Love. We know these are hard times for employers, particularly in the service industry so we have a lot of grace, but it's hard to justify an hour wait and mediocre food for the price. read more

Oh man, was this place a winner. We went after church on Sunday and it was obviously busy and rightfully so. There was indoor and outdoor seating and every employee was busy with their role. My recent experience here wasn't as good as previously visits. Starting with the way they do seating, it's just unusual and lacked attention to the customer because they did not use (or at least not consistently) a host/hostess. Basically, you just line up outside until they let you in, you place your order, then are given a table number to find. While waiting, everyone crowds up on the porch then down the sidewalk. There are signs that describe the "process", but they are easy to look over and assume that you need to go inside looking for a host or hostess. During this experience we had waited in line and finally made it to the front door after about 25 minutes. At the point I arrived at the door, there was an employee asking how many was in your party, and he indicated that he would be back shortly to let us (party of two) in the entrance. After about 6-7 minutes he had not returned and two new couples walk up to the porch, ignoring the waiting crowd of approximately 30 people in line; they walk right in the front door and get in line to order!! NOT TODAY!! I stepped inside and said, "excuse me, I realize you may have not seen the sign outside, but all of these people have been standing in line, and the back of the line is out there." I'm not sure if they genuinely didn't realize (I want to give the benefit of the doubt-and because this place seats oddly, that may have been the case) but they did act odd about it. What I mean by odd, is that initially both couple looked at me then looked away as if I were not addressing them. Then one couple left and the other stood there, so I made the statement again. Then they went and got at the back of the line. I don't know about you, but this does not make going out to eat a pleasant start to one's day and Biscuit Love should be on top of this to ensure a pleasant experience - especially since they have this odd wait-order-seat experience. Okay- finally to the food. All of that for an order of donuts (bonuts)! We have eaten the bonuts years before and loved them. This time, although they looked amazing, they tasted extremely yeasty and we just didn't enjoy them. Brown sugar lemonade did remind me of my great grandma's lemonade. Gave this place a 2nd chance and I won't be coming back. She ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich for her and I ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwich for me. We paid $45 bucks for the tab since the overpriced mediocre coffee was ordered as well! We didn't even finish the crappy sandwiches, since they were garbage. Oh how disappointing it was.
