Great service and food at this cute neighborhood gem in Franklin. Franklin is the cutest town and Pucketts matches that vibe with strong southern hospitality. Everything was fantastic from the old fashioned cocktail to every item on the appetizer sampler. The sampler had pimento cheese balls with pepper Jelly, fried green tomatoes, some of the best pickles I've ever had, saltine crackers, smoked sausage and this amazing ball of goodness called boudin. Everything was perfection! The shrimp and grits with collard greens was lick the bowl good! The catfish is what they are known for and it did not disappoint. I used to take customers to the downtown location all the time for lunch. It was always good. We were in town visiting and made reservations for dinner and to see the Friday night music. Our meals were really good. The half rack of ribs were tender, moist, and fell off the bone. The sides, potato salad and baked beans, both delicious. The mojo pasta with shrimp, chicken, and sausage in creole sauce was outstanding as well. Our waitress was attentive helpful with menu suggestions. I highly recommend both our dinner items. The restaurant has good vibes, you'll hear chatter about everything under the sun son, glass clanking, laughter, and people coming in and out all evening. The service is helpful. Overall my food was just okay, the menu has these little pointing fingers for their popular meals. I don't eat much meatloaf, honestly it is very rare that that me eating meatloaf happens. I decided to go for it and....i make better meatloaf in the rare occasion I make it. Disappointing loading. The mashed potatoes were decent and the gravy good. My husband and I were in Franklin last weekend for our niece's wedding, she lives there. We ate at Puckett's 3 lunches on a row. You can't come to Nashville and not come to Puckett's. We met up with some friends here for breakfast and it's was beyond amazing! Our waiter was great and helpful, as Soon as we got there she got our drinks order in & I got Their sweet tea to start off was so refreshing. Their food selection is mind blowing I ended up getting their Brisket Hash and it was the perfect combo and the flavors were great. We also got their Kings French toast these ARE a MUST the peanut butter flavor just makes them so good and not overly sweet but just right. Let's just say we licked the plates clean. The food here is just Simply Delicious! The ambiance here is great in the weekends they have live music as well and have a stage for that as well. Their little shop with souvenirs is great, lots of merch and different t-shirts, caps and mugs and more. Their bathrooms were clean a little snug in there but clean overall. There is street parking available in front of and around the restaurant. We went on a week night and were able to be seated right away. It has an old grocery store feel but also fun with the ode to music. The service was really good, our waitress was lovely, efficient and checked in often. My husband and I shared the sampler. I really enjoyed the brisket, chicken and sausage. I wasn't a fan of the ham. I really liked the baked beans and potato salad. The waitress was very friendly and suggested I try their Puckett's Brew which was a nice light lager. I couldn't decide on which appetizer I wanted so I ordered their Cherry Smoked wings with whiskey glaze and Pimento cheese bites with pepper jelly. Both were amazing. Downtown Franklin is a small town gem and our local friends brought us to Puckett's which seemed to capture the essence of the town perfectly. Fried chicken, eggs, biscuits and gravy - I could get used to this cuisine, though not good for my glucose levels - so I disconnected my continuous glucose monitor and allowed myself a treat for a few days of southern comfort. Ha. Puckett's got it all dialed in with their food offerings and super friendly staff. Observing the many families dining around our table, it appears Franklin is attracting a lot of young folks with young kids from other states in the union. The BBQ was so tender, and Iouldnt stop taste testing the two delicious BBQ sauces on the table. Yum, they were even good on my fries. The Cole slaw was fresh and not smothered in Mayo, so was an A. My husband attempted to be healthy, but I noted his salad was fried chicken, tons of bacon, and lots of blue cheese dressing (so why bother...he's a huge meat eater, so go for the bbq). Have visited this eatery a few times with the last time being maybe 5-6 years ago. Typically very good experience. Came with some friends yesterday for dinner. Had our choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to be seated outdoors with our group of 4. The temperature outdoor was warm but tolerable. Unfortunately we did not count on the flies. They were definitely a nuisance during the entire meal. Also the table that we were seated really could not support 4 adults ordering full meals. We were cramped. We asked to be moved to a double table and were accommodated. Now moving on to the food. Ordered the bbq nachos as appetizer. Overall the nachos were okay. Coming from Memphis there are much better bbq nachos at many of the bbq joints there. Noted that the nachos did not have that much bbq meat in it and the pieces in it were not well shredded. Nacho chips were ok as well as the cheese sauce. I got the smoked meatloaf and it was good but not as smoky tasting as I had expected. The mashed potato was good. I substituted the green beans with the Mac and cheese. I thought that was very good. Wife ordered the cheesesteak sandwich with fries. It was good. The other couple ordered the bbq platter with brisket, potato fries, bbq beans with an extra side of red beans and rice. All of that was very good. So besides the ambiance which was our choice for outdoors but not the table size and the so so bbq nachos our experience was ok to good. Our server was good and attentive. So before you consider eating outdoor in the summer remember those pesky flies that can ruin your meal vibes. So for this review I need to give Pucketts a 3.5 overall. read more

We made a reservation for 6 online for 5:15 today. I called to verify my reservation went through and that they could accommodate dairy and egg allergies. Spoke with the hostess and she confirmed my reservation and that they could accommodate the allergies. As a parent of an allergy kid on vacation, it's so hard to find a restaurant and I was so excited. We walked in at 5:13 and were told we will seat you but you need to be done by 6:45 for the next reservation. Repeating the same sentence in a slow condescending way doesn't help me make any more sense of what's happening... I worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years and that's something they should've informed us in the phone. 1.5 hours works for parties of 2-4 but 6 can be tough. We agreed however because we pretty much knew what we wanted. I was very annoyed they didn't tell us until we got there when it was essentially too late to say no. We got sat right outside the kitchen which we didn't love but it was with Tristan who made up for the hostess and seating situation. He was fantastic and so personable. He was also the bartender so we waited between courses to order which we were fine with, however this wasn't going to be an hour and a half dinner. We explained what we were told and he took great care of us. He was reassuring and made sure my daughters food was done correctly. The drinks were delicious! The fried chicken was amazing, I enjoyed my brisket and my husband's pulled pork was good. Needed a bit more flavor but not bad. Mac and cheese was fabulous! If you haven't tried the fried green tomatoes... you HAVE to! It was busy the whole time and we could tell how popular a place it is. Truly we enjoyed our time and didn't feel rushed or forgotten.
