After reading many good reviews about the BBB ( Big Bad Breakfast ) we were expecting a great meal. As we entered we noticed it's a large restaurant so we had no problem finding a table despite the parking lot being full. We ordered the Ham & Cheese Omelette's w Hash Cakes. Both items to both of us were what we would consider less than average- average at best so that was disappointing. The presentation of the food was subpar as well. On the bright side our server, Lauren, really did a nice job & the atmosphere was comfortable but I believe we will skip this place next time we find ourselves in Beautiful Franklin Tn. read more

This was one of the most frustrating takeout experiences I've had in a long time. I ordered from Big Bad Breakfast in Franklin early this morning before work because I was on a tight schedule. The app clearly advertised my order would be ready in about 9 minutes, so I planned everything accordingly--unlocked my office, set up my classroom, and timed it so I could grab my food and eat before my new hires arrived. The pickup time updated to 8:20 AM, which was already a slight delay--but manageable. I arrived... and my order wasn't ready. At 8:35, someone finally checked on it and told me it would be "2 more minutes" and that it was delayed due to a large catering order. That explanation made it seem like my order just wasn't a priority. 8:40... still nothing. Now I'm no longer just hungry--I'm on the verge of being late to run a professional training session. Meanwhile, the staff could clearly see me pacing back and forth for nearly 30 minutes, yet no one took ownership of the situation. At one point, I was even asked if I had been helped--which was surprising considering I had been standing there the entire time. I finally received my food at 8:47 AM, leaving me just enough time to rush back before my presentation. Afterward, I called to speak with a manager. The person I spoke with said she was a manager, apologized, and offered to remake the food (which made no sense given the time already lost). She then said she would issue a refund and took my number to follow up. That call never came. No refund. No follow-through. This experience showed a lack of urgency, communication, and accountability. I understand delays happen--but ignoring a waiting customer and failing to honor a promised resolution is unacceptable. I won't be relying on this location again, especially during a workday. read more

Not a good experience here. It had been recommended since the meal most often eaten out is breakfast in our house. Waited well over 30 minutes for a table, but we were prepared for that since the place was visibly busy. We were seated at a booth next to the end of the bar where orders are picked up. After getting to the table we waited nearly another 20 for acknowledgment, menus and the opportunity to place orders for coffee. We'd set at the table about 45 minutes before receiving coffee and water. By then we were ready to order food but our order was not taken so we waited for the server to return. But the time she came back to take orders, drinks were empty and needed refill. Orders were placed, including cinnamon rolls that they're apparently known for, and refill of coffee and water requested. All the food came out at once, reminded the server we needed water and coffee refills since we'd not received them and she seemed surprised we needed liquid. Cinnamon rolls were cold and hard, almost crunchy so we're not eaten. When coffee came we let them know we needed butter and syrup for the entrees that had been delivered. Nothing had yet been touched other than the cinnamon rolls because everything was dry and we'd still not gotten drink refills from initial serving. By the look of the server staff on floor, things were in control but our customer experience felt as if they were disorganized and chaotic. We received our bill, which seemed high for the level of service and quality of food received but we did not contest. We'd been there nearly 2 hours and had appointments to get to. The place is popular and parking lot is always full but there are better more dependable places in the area to go for breakfast so we will not return. read more

I had scrambled eggs and a cinnamon roll. I was a little disappointed that the cinnamon roll was a biscuit and not a yeast roll. It was OK. The food at the table looked really good. Service was a little slow and our food came out in parts, not preferable to some at the table. The restaurant is quite large, which is nice for busy times. I do recommend this place. read more

We added our name to the waitlist online which was very convenient. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and seated right away. We had plenty of room at our table and the space is inviting and clean. Our waitress, Madelyn came over right away, took our drink orders and answered some questions we had about the menu. She then brought our drinks and took our order. Throughout the meal our waitress was attentive, refilling drinks and checking in on us. The food was excellent. We had the creole omelet, low country skillet, kids pancake w/sausage patty and the cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was a little dry but I think that is just how it's made. It seems more like a biscuit-y roll and not a yeasty roll. My child almost ate her entire huge pancake, which never happens! Coffee was good! It is smooth and not bitter. This place hits all the spots! We would definitely eat here again. 10/10 read more

This was the first place we ate at while in Franklin and OMG... the most delicious breakfast we had. From their fresh squeezed orange juice to their Breakfast skillet with shrimp and grits it was just comfort food at its best. Our waiter was Hailey and she was honestly the best, welcomed us as it was our first time there and made our visit enjoyable and was very attentive if we needed anything. Their food was SO good. The Place was Big so they def accommodate big parties if you come with a big group. They even have a bar area you can sit if you come for a quick breakfast or lunch. Their selection was great and was one of the tastiest breakfast we had hands down. The shopping center has several shops and places to eat so there is enough parking all around as well. Great service and yummy food! We were a group of six and only waited 15min for our table which we thought was pretty good for a busy Saturday morning. Our server, Anna, greeted us with a happy smile and even gave us all nice compliment! She took really good care of us and made sure we were happy with our meals. We all enjoyed our meal especially the biscuits! We were told that they were the best, and we all agreed! Very tasty! Light, fluffy, and a little bit crispy. So good! Food Had the fried oyster scramble and everything in it worked well together except for the mayonnaise. I don't have an issue with mayo but there was A LOT on the plate under the scramble. Really liked how I could add my phone number to the wait list then receive a text when the table was ready. Didn't even have to wait at the restaurant. Ambiance Inside is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. When you walk in and straight back you can turn to the left and there is an additional seating area. My wife and I were in Franklin for a family gathering and decided to grab a bite at Big Bad Breakfast on the way out of town. It was a Sunday morning and the place was busy. While waiting for a table, I could see a lot of people doing take out. We both ordered a bloody Mary which was good, but not spectacular. My wife ordered biscuit & gravy, sausage, and a crispy hash cake. She loved the biscuit and the sausage. The hash cake was just meh. I ordered the Old School Wrap with a hash cake. The wrap came with their version of hot sauce which was green. I liked the sauce, because the wrap needed something as it was fine, but kind of blah. I was hoping for salsa, but they only had the hot sauce. I agreed that the hash cake was meh. Our server was great. He was quick on taking our order, refills, and to go drinks. Big Bad Breakfast was good, but not great. Solid 4 stars. I would try it again the next time that we are in Franklin. read more

I recently moved to Franklin and started coming to Big Bad Breakfast for brunch. Every item I've ordered has been great, came out quick, etc. What stands out far above that is the service I've received. Nate and Bre are always so friendly, make sure I have fresh coffee, the extras I need, etc. Sometimes they keep me topped off on multiple drinks at the same time. I'll have to post a picture, ha! I'd like to take a minute and comment on something not related to the food. I eat at Big Bad Breakfast quite a bit. That's given me a chance to see a lot of interactions, etc. Nate and Bre, every single time, go far above and beyond to accommodate those customers who may be advanced in age or need a little extra assistance. I was visiting Franklin and had breakfast at this place. We ordered the cinnamon roll, which had some of the best cream cheese icing I've ever had.
