Our main goals were to address poor manners when people came over (jumping/barking), poor leash manners (pulling/leading the walk/leash aggression for one of them), and all around general behavior training. We wanted, and needed, help to rectify these things before our son became truly mobile. We emailed Pat on a Friday night and he called the next day. We spoke for over an hour and he reassured us that things would be okay. We scheduled a training session for later that week and haven't looked back. He is an incredible teacher; he took the time to learn about our dogs, our family dynamic, and what our hopes were for the training sessions. He began teaching us right away and showed us how to get into the minds of our dogs. We are five sessions in and there has been such a vast improvement already. We are currently working on walking both dogs and pushing the stroller - a dream of mine - that is soon to be a reality. We genuinely look forward to each session and getting to hang with Pat. Our pack was definitely out of whack but Pat has been instrumental in teaching us how to teach our dogs and reframe our thinking. In a few sessions, Lily started prancing next to us as we walked. She sat and looked at me when the big dogs passed by. We were even greeted by a neighbor with, "Here comes the best trained dog in the neighborhood!" When I got my puppy, Fred introduced Lily to Rocky and they are best buds. Now Rocky is learning to go up and down stairs, to be potty trained, and we are working on his on leash pulling. I am confident he will be a successful, happy dog thanks to Fred! Fred is the best. She was really care about the result and asked us to contact to her any time when we faced into unusual situation where we didn't know for sure how to behave with our dog. We sent her messages, recorded videos and called whenever something new happened. It helped a lot because everything matters and all wrong behaviors reinforce very quickly. Julia not just trains our dog, she teaches us to understand our dog. Our puppy is still young, she is 4 months old Goldendoodle but she already know basic commands (paws, stay, sit, down, crate, place and heel) and do it very well. Furthermore we resolved issues with toilet, unwanted barking, demanding behavior to give her our mealtime food, we taught her to play with toys rather than with a furniture, bite us gently, love her crate and don't destroy our home (we don't lock her up when we leave for a work!) We're going to keep training because we want to teach our dog many other things like being off-leash in outdoor activities (hiking, camping), asking our permission before taking a food from unknown people, to teach her to take calm and much more. Starr has been a godsend! There is so much to be said about how amazing this training has been for…read moremy boys. I always thought that my boys listened well. They've always been good boys. I had no idea just how much better they could be. Starr has brought us a much more relaxed home and for that I am eternally grateful. A couple ways our life has changed: Everytime I had my windows or doors open my boys would bark at the slightest noise whether it be a car, person, or their shadow. I am now able to sleep with my windows open for the first time in 6 years. My neighbors can be outside and I can have my doors open and my boys no longer bark incessantly. I can now sit on my porch with my boys and enjoy my neighborhood and evenings without my boys going crazy and trying to run all over. My boy Cache used to act like a mongrel walking on a leash. We were unable to take him anywhere. He's literally torn pads on his feet trying to get into the vets office from pulling so hard. Since the training, I am able to walk Cache into the vet, get a weight on him by myself, and Cache will actually lay down and wait to be seen. We used to have to wait in the car and carry him in. We recently brought the boys out for icecream and multiple people have commented on just how well behaved they are. A couple months ago we would have never heard that! In January my boys had a difference of opinion about the ownership of a bone and my boy Damian had bit my Cache. Cache understandably had some trust issues. I felt as though I was walking on eggshells thinking they were going to have continual issues. Not surprisingly, when we brought home our infant son, she had a very tough time relinquishing being the center of attention. With people coming in and out of the house constantly to meet the baby, the dog barking non-stop and racing around - our stress level was through the roof.
