Stopped in a weekday which was very slow. There's not a lot going on in downtown Pontiac on a Wednesday so I understood. Since we were the only table there; our service was great but the food was also very tasty.

I had an amazing girls brunch at this black owned establishment. Went on a Saturday around 2 PM and it was not to crowded, I think we had just missed the breakfast crowd and was ahead of the late lunch/dinner crowd so perfect timing. Requested seating for seven and was told there would be a 15 minute wait which was pretty impressive to me because usually large groups have to wait forever for a table. While we waited for our table we sat at the bar. We sat there for about 15 minutes before anyone asked if we needed help, with several bartenders walking back and forth and stepping away from bar without acknowledging us. Somebody finally asked and we ordered mimosas , blueberry and mango. I've never had a blueberry mimosa and was excited to try it but he added way to much blueberry to it and it wasn't very good. My friend said it tasted like cough syrup to her. Second round we tried the mango mimosa and it was very good. I ordered catfish and grits with cheese and it was so bomb. The catfish was hot, crispy and cooked to perfection and the grits were seasoned and cooked perfectly. We had ordered appetizers but they did not come until after our food which is not how that is supposed to work but I digress. For my appetizer I ordered the salmon croquette bites , and my companions ordered the bourbons glazed chicken bites and biscuits. The salmon bites were delicious and I loved the dipping sauce the came with. The chicken bites were okay, we were expecting them to be fried but they were grilled and coated in a bourbon sauce. They also came with a biscuit and we ordered additional biscuits. Now for the biscuits......for biscuit to be in the name of the establishment these were TERRIBLE. Probably some of the worst I've ever had. The looked and had the texture of a doughnut hole almost and were coated in the same bourbon sauce as the chicken bites, which was on the savory side. Nobody finished them and I believe I only had one or two bites of mine. They definitely need to rework that recipe, especially since they are called BISCUITS and bourbon. Other than that though the food, drinks and vibes were very good and I'd probably make the trek out to Pontiac again to try some of their other items!

My siblings and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after seeing multiple tik tok posts. There is limited street parking which is shared with other businesses. This wasn't an issue on Sunday since the other businesses were closed but I can see this being a problem during the week. We started with the bourbon glazed biscuits and chicken bites. I think we all expected the biscuits to be sweet but they were savory. The glaze was the same as what's on the chicken bites. It reminded me of a teriyaki sauce. The chicken bites were delicious. For entrees we got the catfish and cheese grits and the chicken and cakes. The grits were very dry and lumpy. The bowl was full of grits and there was a small piece of fish on top. The catfish was seasoned very well but the portion was small. The chicken wings were just ok. The pancakes were good but nothing spectacular. Once we found out who our server was(after a 10 min wait) service was underwhelming. We had to ask for everything. There's no condiments on the table and the waitress didn't ask if we wanted anything when bringing out our food. Our glasses were empty and she never offered to refill. We had to ask. Overall, I hope during this soft opening they work out the issues but I won't be back.

My company was setting up a Photo Booth upstairs, and i noticed Biscuits and Bourbon as i was loading in. The place smelled great and I was hungry so I told myself when I was done setting up, I'd go downstairs and get some food. To my joy, the place was clean and inviting. I sat at the bar where Rondah took care of me and she was awesome! I got their chicken sandwich and damn was it good as i cleared my plate. Tasted like something id make at home which i loved. I will definitely be back!

I brought my mom for mother's day and we absolutely loved it The biscuits were amazing and the food was phenomenal we definitely will be back

    Catfish and Cheesy Grits

Me and my Sister were so happy to find this restaurant, the food was amazing. I had Catfish and Cheese Grits and my Sister had Eggs, Grits, and Pancakes. The service was personable with a short waiting time and the restaurant was very clean. Although it's 45 minutes away I will defiantly go back real soon.

We walked in without reservations and we're seated right away. We got our drinks and apps fairly quickly as well. We really liked the cute fishbowl cocktail. It was evenly mixed and tasted great! I had a few questions about how portions worked compared to weight and our server was easily able to answer without getting too technical. We did not have to wait long at all to get our food either. The seafood boils came out in a tied bag on a tray and a trash can, bibs, gloves, a shell cracker, and shell splitter were given to us for ease of eating. As soon as we poured those bags onto our trays our mouths were watering. It looked so good and it tasted even better. We both got the A+ seasoning which is all of their seasonings mixed together and we liked it a lot. My sister got it with a medium spice level and said she didn't taste much spice as if it was a mild spice level like what I got but still tasted good. The seafood was fresh as well. I loved the snow crab legs and they were decently sized too. It wasn't too loud inside and not too busy for a Friday night and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Everything was decently priced and the bathrooms were fairly clean as well. Overall we liked the place a lot and would come here again.

Important to say, I haven't been to the UK yet and am not an expert on Fish and chips, however best Fish in Chips I've had in a very very long time. Up there with some of the best I've ever had! Incredibly juicy fish, perfect tempura batter, and an incredible tartar sauce. It's amazing that in a 15 minute car ride, the batter was still incredibly crispy which is hard for a lot of restaurants to do. Fries or "chips" were seasoned well and for not liking coleslaw, best I've ever had and was delicious. I don't normally write reviews, the fact I'm writing one immediately after I've tasted everything speaks volumes. I recommend everyone in the area to stop by, you will not leave unsatisfied guaranteed! Thank you to the staff at Lost Sailor Fish & Gourmet, your pushing out incredible product!

But on the flip side, I also got their crabcake appetizer, which is a bit pricey for one crabcake at $14 and it's definitely one of the worst crabcakes I've ever had. I've had crabcakes in the Kroger's freezer section that tasted better. But hey, you can't win them all so I'd still give this place a try cause the lobster roll makes up for it. Service was great!!

I didn't know it was two restaurants in one. I seriously thought LiveBait they sold fishing things lol. The decor is interesting, not sure the look they are going fur. But it doesn't give Italian to me. But, it's a very cool pop chic design so it works well. Food was ok. The pizza was good, but it was saggy. Could have been more crispy. Next time I would ask for it to be more done. But, it had a good flavors. The pesto was nut free which works well. Lobster roll I want a fan. They used langostino lobster which is not even really lobster, more like a cousin. It said Connecticut style so I was hoping claw meat. The bread was very good. I barely tasted the aioli on it which sucked. My fries were suppose to have old bay seasoning but they didn't. The waitress was nice and so was the person at the door. It's one space divided into 2 restaurants, Goomah, the Italian restaurant, and Live Bait, a seafood restaurant. We were given menus for both, though. We ordered a margherita pizza and added mushrooms to it and an antipasto salad. Both were delicious! The salami on the salad was shredded and fried, almost like meat croutons. They used thin slices of Parmesan cheese, and there were red peppers and possibly pimentos, as well as green olives. I hate olives, but my sister ate them. She said there were more olives than she usually sees in salad. The pizza had a thin but nicely crispy crust. All of the toppings were evenly placed on the pizza. Our server, Emily, was very friendly and efficient. There were only a few filled tables, so she took a little time to chat with us, which was nice. Our only real criticism was that, judging by the decor, they don't know what they want to be. There's a collection of rolling pins on one wall, a bank of t.v. sets on another wall as well as at the bar, what looks like a climbing wall (but I'm sure it's not) on another wall, the half walls have designs that look like graffiti, and the restaurant's name is in lights on the ceiling. All of this while Frank Sinatra and other Italian music plays in the background. But, restaurants are mainly about food, and theirs is very good. I am sure that we will be back!
