Carried out a cinnamon French toast, was also considering their huevos ranchero too, but settled on the cinnamon French toast since it's the weekend, a Greek skillet and a baby Greek salad to go. Order would take about 10-15 minutes to make it up. The guys here plowing the parking lot are driving around like madmen, two red trucks hauling butt. They are going back and forth to push the snow out into the side of the lot. It's good there's only a few cars in the lot. My husband moved our car as they were driving rather fast, he didn't want us to get showed in at all. They were in and out in less than 8 minutes. In less than time than it took to get our food even. The Greek skillet isn't bad, the side of cinnamon toast wasn't a good idea, it's an upgrade cost and is bland, stale even. Not toasted at all. The first time my husband hasn't eaten more than tow bites of his toast. The side of cinnamon bread was rather stale ready to be used for French toast, not as a side of toast with a skillet. I took a bite of the cinnamon French toast before we even left the parking lot. It was okay. Not crispy or crunchy at all, rather soft and soggy. A bit more time to crisp up wouldn't have hurt it at all. The rest of the French toast was okay, not as special as I had hoped. The carry out order comes with the Kraft pancake syrup, which has corn syrup, sugar, caramel flavor and other artificial flavoring. I opted to use the Canadian maple syrup at home instead. The baby Greek salad was packed in the small to go container. The dressing is the pink beet infused at least. The salad as a whole isn't bad. It has a more of ice berg and romaine lettuce. The Greek salad was the best part of my meal.

Cute diner and quick service. This was our first time and the parking lot was packed. Worried we would have to wait on a Sunday morning. We were seated right away and the food was great. Would return here again. A must go for breakfast and they skillets were amazing and fresh.

Call direct or order online instead of Grubhub for carry out!!

Super cute & clean Coney Island diner on 14 Mile, j E of Coolidge. Was craving a good Greek salad decided to give this place a try. My husband ordered fish & chips. Both meals we satisfying and the pink creamy Greek dressing and tartar sauce were on point! Waitperson was very friendly and it was a good experience.

What is supposed to be French Onion Soup. Soggy bread with gross- barely there- cheese.

I'm not certain why the reviews are so high, but based on that, we tried this place out for dinner and it was a complete fail. First impression was that the waitstaff looked/smelled like they just came from chain-smoking. The menu was impressive, a lot of variety, so it took us a few minutes to order. We started with a saganaki- it's my favorite, but not here. Our waitress said "I think I put too much brandy on, but I love the big flame!" Ok, first of all, I use to make saganaki all the time when I waited tables, and you only put so much brandy (2 tbs at most) for a reason. Never should it look like saganaki soup, which is what we received, the cheese had no time to cook on the skillet. It was edible, but far from the standard. We each ordered a soup, mine, the French onion, was the worst thing ever; One bite and I was done! My bf ordered the lemon rice soup and it was pretty bad, too. Very thick, more like a pudding. It became clear that the kitchen and/or waitstaff knew nothing about food prep or the common motto- if you wouldn't eat it, don't serve it. We ordered the small Greek salad- which was huge- and a patty melt. Two things that we figured would be safe, and they were! The small salad is more like a large, and the patty melt, well, it was standard. Long story short, we will not be returning to Col's.

Also got the pancakes & they were amazing just forgot to take a picture!!!

Overall a great breakfast place!!! Good prices and the food was delicious. You definitely don't want to go here if you are looking for an "aesthetic" brunch place lol. It's your typical diner feel. The waitress and cashier man were very kind. Quick service and didn't even have to ask for condiments. I would come back here again 100%!

Country Omelette Breakfast

I have been coming here for a while now. I mostly come in on the weekends and get breakfast. I came in last night to get the Country omelet. It's biscuits and gravy the omelet is made with sausage and hash browns inside the omelet have sausage gravy on top. It's so delicious, and customer service is always stellar here. Food is always very good.

Chicken noodle soup with dumplings

Pleasantly surprised with a very clean and updated look inside. Waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Had the fish sandwich, which was hand battered and very tasty. Chicken noodle soup with dumplings was delicious. I was told every is made fresh in house.

Great food (try the rye as strange as that sounds), fast service, and a friendly wait staff. Nothing I have ordered has missed the mark yet.

The people working here were so friendly and personable with literally everyone that walked in the door. The service was top notch. It is also the most adorable place giving vibes of Lamy's food counter at Henry Ford Museum. I loved all of the options on the menu and it was so hard just picking a couple items to try. We had chicken tacos. They were so good and so fresh, I loved the sauce on top. Honestly, I am not sure if it was cheese or a sour cream type mixture, but it was creamy and flavorful. I also had the torta which was absolutely incredible. It had the same chicken as the taco. The chicken was slow cooked or stewed and shredded and was so flavorful, like a homecooked chef's kiss. The bread was fresh. I loved the sauce poured over it, making it a dipped and soaked sandwich. The carrots and cilantro, sliced radishes and sliced fresh jalapenos added a level of crunch, freshness and deeper flavor profile. I would want to get this every time. We also tried their delicious "curly" fries, which were like julienned shoestring fries fired fresh. It seemed like every dish was made fresh and right in front of you. So worth it, plus the prices are great. I would love to try their fried chicken plate, their breakfast sandwiches, and their other desserts. We talked to the man behind the counter who seemed like maybe a manager. He gave us their famous chocolate chip cookie to try. It was fresh baked and delicious. I would love to take home more of those. It looked so simple but was better than many bakeries specializing in cookies alone. He also gave us an second order of fries to take home with my leftovers, just top notch kindness and service. This man told us that OWL owns other restaurants and we would probably like them. I am open to trying more of their group but I do want to return here. This is one of those diners you would find being profiled for best kept secret or gourmet home cooked foods under the guise of fast food.

I ordered the Mediterranean skillet, lemon pancakes, and a side of biscuits and gravy. Yes, this was a heavy breakfast! The Mediterranean skillet had plenty of feta, which I LOVED but it was dry overall. There was no sauce to really bring everything together. I even got eggs over medium and the egg yolk did not add much creaminess. It was good, just not my favorite thing I've eaten. The lemon pancakes were absolutely unreal. Sooo fluffy and the cream cheese frosting was incredible. I would 100% recommend them. I also tried a side of biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was very thick, which was not my favorite, but the gravy itself was amazing, but it's the white super peppery kind, which I know is not everybody's favorite! Again, just kind of dry, even with the gravy. The service was good, and for a Saturday around 11 AM, the 20 minute wait was totally reasonable. I would definitely come back, just probably not for the skillet next time.

Once we sat down, our server had waters at our table already and was quick to come take our drink orders. My friend ordered the very berry Bellini and loved it, so she ordered a second one. She gave it a 10/10. My other friend ordered a breakfast margarita - she gave it an 8/10. For food, we ordered the traditional meal with red velvet pancakes. She rated it a 9/10. My friend ordered house made corned beef hash with eggs, & cheese grits (gave it a 9/10) the grits needed some salt & pepper; and a Cinnabunn pancake (we give that a 12/10). The pancake was fire!!! I tasted a piece and wanted to order my own. My other friend ordered the crème brule chicken & waffles - she gave it a 9/10. I ordered an egg white omelet with turkey sausage, chicken, spinach & bell peppers. It was good but a little too runny for my liking. It came with fruit and whole wheat bread. I asked for strawberry jam and they brought me a homemade strawberry sauce that was soooo good! I give my meal an 7.5/10. Overall, the place is cute and pretty spacious with lots of seating. I would definitely come back and order some other items from the menu!

Oak Diner - Royal Oak (Campbell Rd) Walking into Oak Diner…read morebrought back so many great memories. I used to live nearby about 25 years ago and remember coming to a diner in this area for breakfast back then. Fast forward to today--this isn't the same place, but wow, it's absolutely amazing. Right away I loved the vibe. The chalkboards with handwritten menu items and daily specials on the walls give the place so much character and charm. It feels welcoming, classic, and cool all at the same time. The customer service was excellent from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the country breakfast, which came with biscuits and gravy, eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausage--everything was spot on. I'm usually not a big hash browns person, so I really appreciated that they offer an alternative to the shredded style. I went with the cubed breakfast potatoes (not sure what they officially call them), and they were so much better--crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Between the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere, this place completely won me over. I already know I'll be back next weekend. Oak Diner has a really, really good vibe, and I'm glad I rediscovered breakfast here. Highly recommend.
