I've lived close to Albert's for nearly 30 years and have been getting their breakfast for many of those. The food is very good. The staff is friendly enough. I've always gotten carry out so I can't speak to the dine in experience. Sadly the prices have recently increased exponentially. I understand prices are increasing everywhere but they jumped to the point that I'll have to go elsewhere for breakfast. It's a farther drive but Fino's, where I've also been going for many many years, has been consistent and prices haven't jumped. read more

I love this place. I normally go to trendy fresh ingredient farm to table breakfast places but Albert's is my go to breakfast place. I always get the spinach omelette and it's so good. Excellent gyro salad! Since it's carry out only right now in Michigan it was convenient going through the drive-thru. My salad was freshly prepared and had quite a bit of flavorful gyro meat, feta cheese, and my personal favorite: beets. The gentleman working the drive-thru was friendly and thanked me for my order. Stopped in for an early morning breakfast while on business in the Auburn Hills area while searching for something different than a Egg McMuffin. I found it at Albert's! Exchanging greetings with the server, I had to try the house specialty Mexican Omelette. With ground beef, onions green peppers, Swiss and CHILI, this was a spicy treat for breakfast as the sun was just breaking the horizon. Albert's offers a pair of flap jacks as an option to hash browns and I jumped for the cakes. Overall, a hearty protein-packed breakfast with excellent service to start the day. Glad I opted to drive by the McDonalds and start my day with a little diversity. read more

I came here after a coworker bragged about the soups. They had three soups to choose from on the day I went and I ordered the ham and bean soup. It tasted a lot like Senate Soup that I have made at home. It was very good and tasted homemade. Five stars for the soup. I also got two connie dogs, fries and a drink for $7. Good priced combo. As a matter of fact, all the prices on the menu looked on the low side. Dogs and fries were good, but not as good as the soup. Their menu is huge: breakfast, stir fry, fried shrimp, italian, Grecian sandwiches and pitas. Service was stelar. I believe this is a husband a wife team that owns and runs the restaurant. Probably a hidden gem in the Auburn Hills area. The food and service are great. While I have enjoyed their breakfast specials often, I came to realize they have a great Greek Salad with Chicken, which I've ordered as a carry out lunch several times. I noticed this place across the street from the hotel I was staying at for the Woodward Dream Cruise. When I'm out of town I go out of my way to try locally owned eateries. I simply was there to get some breakfast before my return trip to South Carolina and was very happy with my choice. I got the meat lovers omelette and it was perfect in every way. They have a bad attitude the manager is according to the one in the kitchen the girls in front serve with a bad attitude and they always give you the wrong food very bad service they should put more prepared people starting with the manager of the place. they treat customers very badly. It is what it is... nothing exciting, or worth really stopping your car for. Certainly wouldn't go out of my way for this one. However, there is a wide variety of food, the coneys are decent, and it's within walking distance of several hotels. However, every time I was in there (3x so far), small children were running around the restaurant, up and down the aisles. Clearly related to the cook and/or waitress. They just look at you like it's your fault for being upset that children have made the restaurant their playground. I heard a lot of throngs about Coney Island . This one is directly across the street from where I'm staying . The customer service was on another level. I'm not sure who the lady was in drive thru but she was super sweet and friendly. I had a chicken pita , i was so Hungary that I didn't get a chance to take a pic and my boyfriend had a fish sandwich that can't stop talking about . The fries were nicely seasoned and the food piping hot ! I definitely will be back to try some more menu items. read more

I am from out of town, and was looking for something quick to eat for dinner, so I walked over to Albert's and got some carry out. The woman at the counter took my order and was friendly enough. The food came out quickly and was hot. I decided on a coney (with cheese) and fries. The cheese was an extra $0.50, not a big deal, but I was expecting shredded cheese on it, not melted concession stand cheese. The chili and hot dog were fine, but the cheese was not great. The fries were downright boring and tasteless: not seasoned at all. The price was fine, service was fine, food was just ok. I don't think anyone would go to the place expecting fine dining, but I expected a little more than what I got. I wouldn't go back again. read more

I was looking for some quick food to keep me going, and I was surprised at how great my meal was. At first I wasn't quite sure the restaurant was even open, but don't let the outside appearance deter you from ordering. I had an omelette, toast, and pancakes at 5pm in the afternoon, and all the food was fresh and great. There was only one person working in the restaurant, and he was really fantastic with taking my order and answering my questions. I was looking for diner style food, and Albert's Coney Island knocked my hankering out of the park. Will come back. read more

Stopped by here on a whim, I recall this spot being a drive thru fast food franchise once upon a time. Now that it is a tiny diner, felt like checking it out. Tried the Greek chicken platter, with fries and the cole slaw. This was at 2 pm when the lunch crowd rush was over, so I got very attentive & good service from the lone waitress.The owner also checked in on me, so service is positive. Food was decent and prices are decent. They do have an awful lot of choices on the menu, maybe not too much for the health conscious or strict vegans. Place was neat and clean, I do hope they continue the service as there are not too many choices on this stretch of the road. It is quite close and convenient to those who work int he surrounding area. I did notice they have breakfast specials, so will be back to try those out. read more

Fast and friendly staff. They always get me order correct. I've ordered a coney dog and fries which we're delicious, but my go to lunch is the salads. Lettuce and veggies are ALWAYS fresh, crisp and cold. Plenty of dressing and a side of pita. I cannot say anything negative. read more

Place is dirty. Chef salad and dressing was really good. Waitress was really friendly and attentive. The chicken lemon rice soup tasted funny, was as thick as stew, not hot enough, and did not have much lemon in it. Fixed that by just squeezing the lemon from my ice tea. Alberts is the nicest best coney I've been to in a while! The prices are reasonable, and the new owner goes out of his way to see that you like your food and the overall hospitality of the staff makes u feel like you are hanging out with people that have always been your friend! I go there daily now for lunch and I see many of the same faces so I think others agree I got out for lunch under 10$ and that incl a decent tip! Its a hop and a skip from the Chrysler bldg and you can get right in and out...excellent I had the Stir Fry with Chkn (although u can have beef,shrimp or All three!) and was pleasantly surprised to see that the owner only buys FRESH stir fry veggies... that and the prices have sold me its my favorite place by far! Like any small place and most bigger ones they do certain things better. The place is just jammed at lunch time and does a tremendous carry-out volume, both counter and at a window, so you know it can't be very bad overall. The gyros sandwich - either gyros meat or chicken is fantastic. The Tues. and Fri. all you can eat Walleye is quite good. I never have to ask for a second serving the first is so generous, but they did ask. No setting off flares to get them to come back to your table. Breakfast is high end average but very reasonably priced. I haven't tried a lot of things simply because once I know a couple really good items I tend to stick with ordering them. read more
