As of today I give 0 stars to this place. Food is great but the customer service sucks. I was patiently waiting over to the side while the cashier was finishing up with her customers. She stepped from behind the counter and I asked her if I could just grab my order from the shelf because a to-go order server wasn't present. She rudely replies let me see the name on your order. She then slams my bag onto the counter and walks off. I asked another employee if they could call the mananger up. I give this restaurant chain a 0 star rating. I used to really enjoy this location, but over the past several years it's been consistently disappointing. About once a year for the last six years, I've gone back hoping things had improved, and unfortunately, they haven't. This visit was no different. I wish I had taken pictures, the seats at our table had dried, crusted food stuck to them, like they hadn't been properly cleaned in a very long time. The menus were also dirty, with dried food stuck on them as well. That alone was pretty off-putting. Our waitress was friendly, which I appreciated, but the food arrived cold, something that's become the norm here. It also feels like since COVID, not only have the sizes of the French toast, pancakes, meatloaf and other menu items gotten smaller, but the overall quality of the ingredients has noticeably declined. The food just doesn't taste the way it used to in not a good way. I know quality of the food isn't always controlled by each location but by centralized distribution centers. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd venture past the gift shop (during fall only) but it finally happened. I sat down with my family at a Cracker Barrel. Not like it was a surprise but there's not a single vegan entree (even the sides have meat and dairy), which I fully expected but my husband and MIL wanted lunch and I figured why the hell not, I'll have a mimosa even if I hate mimosas in general. I might have hated this mimosa more than I normally hate mimosas. It was a special holiday mimosa with "sugar plum" and sparkles and in general undrinkable because it tasted like pure syrup. It's strange because they served the tiny bottle of Prosecco along with the cocktail and it was a typically dry variety, not like moscato (god forbid but I wouldn't have been surprised). It's just not a good drink. I poured the rest of the bubbly into it with the hopes of it being more drinkable, but it didn't help cut the brutal sweetness. Our server was so nice so I want to mention that. Uh, she proofed me (I mean... come on but OK I guess it's a compliment?) She offered me ice after asking me if I liked the drink (I was honest, not unkind) and she literally was the best part of the experience. I get that I'm not their demographic and I can totally accept that but... if they at least had decent bathrooms? I won't go into detail but these were actually disgusting. We stopped here for lunch on a Sunday on the way to Greenville. I thought the wait would be crazy but we got seated right away. My son and I rod the new chicken fingers. We both really liked the chicken and the 3 sauces it comes with as I'm a dipper. The stand out food item was the apples tho. O M G!!!! They were so dang good!! The only thing was they happened to be out of the peach lemonade which was a disappointment but the food and service made up for it. My husband and I decided to go to Cracker Barrel instead of Golden Coral for Veterans Day November 11 2025 around 5 to 6pm, so we didn't get the military discount we hope being my husband is a retired veteran cause we didn't order a certain dish, but in to of that all the silverware on our table was dirty or half washed so we signaled the waitress who served our table and she replaced our silverware with plastic forks and knives, I thank we should have gotten a great discount for that, so I talked to the manager in charged and she was quite sarcastic in a nice but nasty way, I loved Cracker Barrel always prefer to go there for breakfast above any restaurant bar T after tonight service I don't know if I want to eat there anymore our meals came to 50 dollars in which I think it should let have been free!!!! read more

Me and my husband went and had dinner at the Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving and the food was very good. We got the country fried steak cook to perfectio. My husband and I took our two young granddaughters to eat an early lunch last Saturday. I almost always get breakfast, the hubby likes chicken tenders, one of the girls ate eggs and grits and the other had corn and Mac and cheese. We had Shanequa for the server..she was AWESOME!! She was very friendly and kind to us and the girls! The food came out quickly and was delicious! I had the "biscuit benny" and it was yummmmmy!! We had a very late lunch here today, the restaurant for the most part was empty. Our server was wonderful and extremely friendly. The free bread that came out before our meals was OK, the cornbread was burnt and actually had zero flavor. Our entrées were the roast beef and we also ordered meatloaf. The roast beef was just average, the hash brown casserole was OK. The meatloaf was quite good. Overall, it was just an OK meal nothing to wow you, and honestly I found the menu to be somewhat limited because many of the items were specific daily specials. I eat at Cracker Barrel all the time, in many places. This meal was the worst I have ever had. When we were seated the waitress brought our biscuits. they were burned on the top and cold. My friend ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, corn and fried apples. When it arrived it did not look appetizing;everything was thrown on the plate. The meatloaf was the end piece, which was hard and black on the bottom edge.The mashed potatoes had hard lumps of potato in it as big as quarters. When we pointed it out to the waitress she said" I've been getting quite a few complaints about the mashed potatoes.". I had ordered the All Day Pancakes with fresh strawberries and cheesecake filling with scrambled eggs and sausage. When the waitress brought the meatloaf, she said mine would be out shortly. The restaurant was NOT busy-many empty tables. After waiting several minutes, I flagged down a different Cracker Barrel employee. My food finally arrived. It was much better than my friend's but still not good. The eggs and sausage were warm but the sausage was hard to cut. The pancakes were stone cold. Came in for a quick bite for lunch. Service was extremely slow, food was Luke warm and biscuits and napkins came after our food. We had to ask twice for the biscuits. The servers seemed to have no sense of urgency. I had the meatloaf which was good even thought it wasn't hot. This is the worst Cracker Barrel. We have gone twice for dinner. The food was cold and took forever to get. Then this morning we decided to give them another chance and the hostess with long black braids was very rude to us. We were walking behind her and she said are you coming? Then she tries to seat us between people and there's nobody even in the restaurant we asked to be moved she becomes aggressive with her attitude . There was no one at the entrance where you check in to get a seat and we waited until one of the employees had to call one up to get seated. The waitress we had came right over and took our drink order and then Our meal order, no problems with that. She never filled my water glass,never brought the cutlery we were needing (I went and picked some up). The food sure isn't what it used to be either. I went for lunch on a Friday. I was pleasantly surprised that an employee cheerfully welcomed me to CB the moment I entered the store. Went to the hostess station and was immediately seated (party of one). Got a little concerned that it might be a long wait for food when I saw multiple large groups seated in the dining area. My concerns disappeared when my server was polite and quick to take my order. I ordered the country fried steak, which comes with three sides. Food was brought to the table quicker than i expected. There was an error in one of the sides, but my server quickly brought the correct item to the table. Ample portions, good flavor. It was a better than average CB experience. read more

Cracker Barrel Restaurants offer an affordable alternative when you don't want a steak, Asian, Italian, or typical casual dining. I am thankful that they did bring catfish back to the menu. I have been to 50 to 75 different locations and the quality of food ranges from good to very good in all of them. In the last 36 years of patronage, I have finally found one severely lacking in social civility. The store at 710 Greenville Blvd SW, Greenville, NC 27834 has now tainted my view Cracker Barrell and assuredly convinced me stay away from this location. I ordered to-go, while waiting I observed overtly rude behavior exhibited by one of the cashiers. I made every attempt to avoid this person when it was my turn to pay (even let another couple ahead of me so I wouldn't have to have any sort of exchange with this rude person). Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me the cashier I chose was new and was being trained by the rude employee. I felt secondhand embarrassed as the rude person interjected herself in my transaction. I told her my cashier was doing fine and didn't need her help. She went on a tirade that she was the trainer and had to keep the new employee from screwing up. When I told her I did not want her involved in my checking out. This obviously triggered her as she left a line of waiting customers to complain to her manager. Just when I thought I knew what clueless was, the manager showed up and accused me of cursing at his employees. I did not and would never do such, but I definitely did utter "wtf" under my breath as she flounced away from the counter. The manager was hopelessly ignorant of what had transpired and the toxic behavior of his employee. The new cashier was now gone, and the rude cashier took every opportunity to make snarky comments about her coworker to the manager. The manager seemed quite disoriented and uncomfortable but did nothing to improve the situation. While this clownshow continued to unfold, my food got cold and my faith in human civility dropped a couple of points. There are very few character flaws that can't be fixed given time, desire to change, and dedication. I hope the manager will invest more attention in his work and staff by taking the necessary time to explain just how offensive rude behavior appears to customers and get this young lady back on a productive path. Folks in this age bracket have been exposed to anomalous period in our society and could use a little bit more understanding to get their compass pointed in the correct direction. read more
