My first time coming here , and it was AMAZING. Not only is there Friendly staff but the atmosphere is phenomenal. You're welcomed with a smile and it's like you're stylist becomes your friend. Any question before the cut can be easily answered and you never feel rushed. As I was Sitting in the chair while my boyfriend got his hair done, I noticed how the room was filled with color and music for all customers to enjoy. Plus there are t-shirts, hats, and other cool rep things to buy while there! As for the haircut, it was just as great as the experience. It was a clean fade with not too much taken off the top which was about 4 inches when we walked in. It looked amazing, certainly better than what he's gotten before. I walked in and immediately felt a atmosphere like no other shop I've been to, I was greeted by a very nice face at the front desk and my stylist was Khalif. I wanted an undercut. I showed makuta a picture of what I wanted exactly. What I got was honestly the worse hair cut ever. For someone who claims they knew that they were doing he obviously had no idea. What I wanted was a small simple flower design. He made everything crocked and practically made me bald with how thick and terrible the lines are. I will NEVER return and would NEVER Recommend anyone to go here or at least to him. Lis is great and loves her craft. She enjoys getting to know her clients, and makes sure the client is happy with the results. Having very thin hair and with lots of color treatments, she convinced me to chop a huge chunk off my ends to make my hair look healthy and strong. I was hesitant but followed her instructions. I am returning every two months for a quick trim, and we're taking pictures to follow the growth process. I used to cut my hair 2x a year and never trusted my hair stylist. I have been to Bishops twice, and both were great experiences. I've had trouble in the past finding a place that can cut short women's hair without either neglecting the top or totally butchering the top with straight lines.. The people that work there are really nice, and friendly. Harry cut my hair the first time he's really nice and honest. I had colored my hair a few days prior to going there and he said I had color on my scalp so he didn't want to cut it too short. I definitely agreed with him, , he did a great job and kept me from looking like cheetah on the back and sides. While he was cutting my hair I made short conversation with Desiree, who was coloring a girls hair, (which looked really great) and made me want to color my hair on my next visit(instead of doing it myself ) Bishops is one barber shop that offers color as well which makes it even better. My second visit was last minute so I didn't get to color my hair. Which wasn't a big deal, I just desperately needed a shape up. Desiree cut my hair, and I didn't have to explain how I wanted the top, which was a relief. She did an awesome job, fixed my 4 cow licks. I left looking and feeling so fresh. I came here for a quick cut one weekend. I was a walk in, but I didn't really have to wait long. I had Desiree as my hairdresser, and I loved what she did with my hair. I had addressed with her some of my concerns of recent hair thinning and previous haircuts I had tried, but she put me at ease with an explanation of what she would try to do along with making sure to ask me of my preferences along the way. Overall, I've enjoyed my haircut. There's a surprising amount of volume, and I honestly feel so much more comfortable in my own skin now about going out with friends or work (which I have to deal with a number of people a day). I don't want to sound like a horrible person for this review because the place is very clean and friendly. However my stylist was Harry the assistance manager of the salon, I walked in to see if I could get a haircut and colored. I was given a consult by Harry and all seemed well so I signed my waver with a cost of $155-210. I honestly didn't think twice about the amount because I was ready for a change. I normally use revlon soft black at home about every 2+ months with a spray in on the roots as needed because I absolutely hate coloring my hair because I suffer 3days afterwards(very itchy with swollen lymph nodes). I was way beyond excited for this!!! So he gets started with the black over all with some soft caramel underneath tones which I was very excited for. Ok well the first ones didn't take so I was like alright now what? He said ok we will try with some bleach to see how it goes. I had already been there since about 2pm so he said we can try again tomorrow or now. I told him now would be the best. He said sure no problem long story short, from 2-8:15 he tried to get the look I wanted without any notice of color to the ends of my hair. Poor guy had black hands and all. I really hate to leave a bad review because everyone was so nice but I paid $165 with a $35 tip walking away with a feeling of "damn it, why me! My boyfriend didn't really see any difference, and saw how dissatisfied i was, so he looked around to find a place that was willing to help get the look I wanted. I'm glad he did some research because he found a great place. I had to spend another hour getting a new consultation today and will go back tomorrow to get started all over again. Also I will have to spend more money! Thank you to my amazing boyfriend for wanting the best for me, btw he's paying this time so he can handle it if I'm not happy or not. I lost 6 inches of my hair because of the damage caused. read more

I saw Charisse today for a full highlight and a hair cut! She did amazing! She understood exactly what i wanted and made my hair better than I could have expected! I showed her a picture of golden locks and she replicated the color in the picture. She worked quickly and was very kind. I have been highlighting my hair since I was 10 years old and have been to some of the best salons in Atlanta and Charisse gave me one of my favorite colors to date. Made an appointment to come, no wait time needed at the time of my arrival. They require masks, a waiver and do a temperature reading, I appreciate that they take the COVID-19 precautions seriously. Barry was my stylist today. He's everything you could ask for: attentive, listens, very gentle and friendly!! I got an awesome blunt bob out of it. Due to a personal appearance policy at my workplace, I needed the color to be subtle and professional, and since I had no prior experience with hair dying, I trusted Stephanie and she delivered! Ya'll. I have been wanting to do something fantastic w my hair and Bishops seemed like the perfect place. I'm a frontline worker and both my siblings death anniversaries were this month so I went to get my hair highlighted. Now my scalp and hair on top is burned. My hair broke off. ON TOP. They did tell me there won't be a refund from corporate but wanted to condition it and give me like 20% off future services. I don't want anyone touching my hair for obvious reasons. I did ask if they can put together some products to at least help with it bcz I have curly hair and now it's broken and chopped and short on top. No response from them. IDK if they think I'm just trying to get free products? But seriously though I'm gonna have to cut all 15 inches of my long hair because of this. Oh and I paid a whopping $184. I don't have the energy to fight for my money back cz like I said I have been thru hell this year. I'm mourning my siblings death, so before you pay a ridiculous amount of money there.....I suggest you don't but then again the girl next to me got hers all nicely done and didn't walk out with a half mullet (crying emijo) Best of luck! read more
