a plate of food on a table

This place was delicious! The food was so tasty and the staff was very friendly. You can have a fine dining experience or come dressed causal. For appetizers, we had the soup special which was coconut sweet potato and baked brie with caramelized onions. Both were very tasty! For my main, I had baked salmon with lentil curry that was so good. The salmon was baked to perfection. My boyfriend had the pork tenderloin wrapped in procuitto and stuffed which amazing stuffing! We also had the filo wrapped cheesecake. The chef even came around to every table to ask how the food was tasting. An overall wonderful dining experience!

Crappy service- upon entree no one bothered to greet us and when they do they tell us they don't have to the seats for us (we have 7ppl ). I told her we can sit separate and the server with her crappy attitude tell us she still don't have seats and that they need to be cleaned and she has no time for it....restaurant wasn't even busy (only 2 to 3 groups of ppl eating and no one else waiting to be seated) ...we clearly see empty prep tables. She didn't say they were reserved either. I asked her how long will it take for her to clean the tables, apparently 15min and that she's busy preparing the receipts for her currently "still" eating customers....probs to their excellent customer service, clearly not their priority.

it's like an over price pizza without sauce.

we went here one night . The food was decent but nothing to make me want to come back again for. it was a slow night and service was mediocre. had the cheesecake for dessert and it was warm..didn't like the texture of warm cheesecake.

One of the specials: Chicken, red pepper, and spinach curry with basmati rice

Food is wonderful. Very friendly service. It's my favourite lunch place in the region. Five star.

Great change from pubs and chain restaurants. Good food, nice quiet atmosphere. Great date restaurant or for meeting friends.

Loved it! Banana bread French toast was fantastic and so big I couldn't finish. Warm service and waitress went out of her way to remake donuts for the children due to a mistake that * I made. Very nice. Will certainly be back.

But..... my gosh. The dishes looked nice. My niece said her food was okay. Her cousin said his food was overcooked. My dish was trash, my gosh, I couldn't stomach the taste. The salmon was tough, tasted bad, rank. The seasoning was weird and didn't pair well. It had some kinda spice that tasted odd. I don't even know what to say about it. But later that night I was throwing up well into the morning. I only eat possibly 3-4 small bites, most of the dish was left back. I still tipped and didn't complain as I just wanted the kids to have a nice night without arguing with whoever. As I write this I am reminded of the disgusting taste. NEVER again for that dish! Now that I think about it I honestly shouldn't have tipped. Paying for that dish was already above and beyond!

We just tried Mom's Kitchen Korean Cuisine in Oshawa, the food is excellent! We ordered a number of…read moredishes to try including dumplings, Korean fried chicken, beef short ribs, black bean sauce noodles, stir fried spicy chicken on rice and a bottle of the Korean Soju (Strawberry). Food was hot and fresh, big portions, great quality and very friendly customer service. One thing to note, if you're looking for the BanBan style Korean fried chicken, this really is not it. The chicken they have is still very good, but it is not sauce coated (they provide dips instead) and the dip flavors are limited. But other than that, fantastic place to go for Korean food. Nice atmosphere, easy parking, right next to Costco if you want to do some shopping afterward.

I was out in Oshawa recently and met up with a friend for lunch. I had spotted Mom's Kitchen nearby…read moreso we decided to give it a try. We had their Pork Bone Soup, Korean Fried Chicken, and Fried Tofu. Some of the usual side dishes were included - kimchi, bean sprouts, pickled radish, glass noodles, and a bowl of purple rice. The pork bone soup was pretty good, with lots of meaty pieces and a rich broth. The tofu was flavourful but a bit spicy for my friend. The chicken was very tasty, especially with the honey garlic dipping sauce included. Overall, we enjoyed the food and found it all very reasonably priced, with good portions, especially the chicken. Our server was very polite and friendly. This was a good meal!

Parking seemed limited at first, but there's more available in the back. Just a tip: be careful not to miss the entrance, since exiting is a one-way street and re-entering can be tricky. We arrived around 6:45 pm and saw a small line with two groups ahead, but the place is much bigger than it looks from the outside and we were seated quickly in a comfortable booth for four. The pub was clean, and I was especially surprised at how spacious and tidy the washrooms were--not what I usually expect from a pub, which tend to feel older and worn. The menu is huge, and TVs are everywhere--even in our booth. Between us, we tried a good range of dishes: 1. Caprese Salad with Steak - nicely balanced with pesto, though the steak was a little dry. 2. Fish and Chips - incredible portion for $18! Crispy, perfectly cooked fish with fries, coleslaw, and even a Caesar salad. The fries were well-seasoned (no ketchup needed), coleslaw was enjoyable despite me usually not liking it, and the Caesar was delicious. 3. Mexican Salad - flavorful, fresh, and generous in portion. 4. Tuesday Wing Special - wings were $0.90 each, so I ordered 15 with a Coke Zero. The garlic Parmesan was disappointing--dry and lacking flavor--but the Buffalo ranch wings were tender and spot-on. Service was friendly, though our waitress could have been more proactive with drink and water refills. Overall, I was impressed. Clean space, huge portions, good value, and a welcoming pub atmosphere. Definitely a solid stop if you're in the area.
