What a wonderful restaurant and bar... in a bit of a weird location. Have been twice and wanted to leave a review to spread the word as I'm really hoping they make it! Owner was there and checked in both times. Super nice human. Had the same server both times (by chance) and service was very good. Tried the Boursin stuffed chicken, the house salad, deviled eggs (very tasty!), and drinks from the bar our first visit. All were good. Second time I went with a friend and ordered happy hour drinks on a Friday before 6p and a charcuterie board. Drinks are great here- love that they carry Breckenridge gin as their well- and the board was better and bigger than expected. It included thick slices of bread, gherkins, grapes, chutneys along with the meats and cheeses we selected. It was all quite good! The ambiance is special. The seats and tables in the back have a very cozy, French vibe that's different than the side tables along with window. They also have tables outside (facing the parking lot- hence the weird location a bit). The bar is BIG and takes up a lot of space. On a Friday afternoon there were some people working on their laptops and watching sports on TV. A little conflicted with the French vibe in the back, but they're pretty separate. Looking forward to checking it out in the summer. Oh and you do have to enter a credit card to hold a reservation. Not my favorite but I get it in terms of getting people to show up. read more

We had a great, relaxing dinner here! We sat outside on the covered patio, which was perfect and would be great even if the weather isn't. The wine and cocktail list had plenty of great options. We started with the calamari, which was excellent - lightly fried so you could actually taste the flavors instead of just crunchy breading. I had the tuna, my husband had the steak, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and we never felt rushed. Food and service were good but ambiance was horrible. The waitress told us a large party was coming in and we asked to be seated away from them. Since the restaurant was almost empty that seemed very doable. We got our food and then they sat the large party right next to us. These ladies were loud and dropping F bombs! We were so appalled that we skipped coffee and dessert and asked for the check. I was very disappointed that grown women act so impolite in a nice restaurant. We left a standard tip, but honestly they didn't deserve any tip for seating us like that after we specifically requested to be seated away from a large loud party. Had sangria to drink and deviled eggs to eat. There were 3 eggs (6 halves), so plenty to share, and very tasty.The white sangria was refreshing, good; but I might try something different next time. Service was good. Ambiance was modern, clean. read more

We were excited to try this place and we were not disappointed! All the food was fabulous and the entire staff were very friendly and attentive, including the owner. We tried the Boursin stuffed chicken, steak and fries, and the crème brûlée and chocolate custard for dessert. It was all so good that I really can't choose a favorite but the crème brûlée here was the best that I've had in years. The quality of the food and portion sizes makes the prices pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend coming in spring or summer, the patio and tables next to the open wall are great. I can't wait to visit again! read more

What a great addition to the Littleton dining scene! I was super impressed with their happy hour menu (4-6 pm). Great deals on a wide variety of drinks and bites! It's a chic space with extensive bar, indoor and patio dining. They also have a semi-private space for special wine pairing dinners. Clearly lots of attention to the details The owners and our server were super welcoming. I learned the menu is inspired by the recipes of one of the owner's French grandmother. I rarely write updates for reviews. I rarely find that my restaurant experiences are so different from my original reviews to warrant an update, but today was different. It was also very unfortunate that we brought friends, after talking about how great the restaurant was. We arrived at 12:45 for brunch, and we didn't end up leaving until 2:30.when I say that service was slow, that would be an understatement. We seriously thought we'd been completely forgotten in a mostly empty restaurant. It took FOREVER to get the drinks we ordered and even longer for anyone to come back and take our order. Those things I can forgive, after all we were enjoying chatting with friends. But then my food came out. I ordered the gruyere grilled cheddar with soup... And what came out was neither gruyere or grilled. I was genuinely flabbergasted. The underside of this brilliantly white "grilled sandwich" was soggy (had never experienced heat in its short life) and the top felt like it had just sat under the heat lamp for the 45 minutes it took us to get food. The cheese was... Orange. So definitely not gruyere. The waitress brought it out as if she hadn't even noticed, and when we mentioned something later, she seemed as shocked as us. Like what? Don't you even look at the food? My soup was... Fine. It ended up being my entire meal because the sandwich was inedible. The waitress offer to have something made, but obviously given the crazy amount of time we'd already spent there, I told her no. She brought out a dessert we didn't order and (I think) comped my meal (I didn't see the bill). The dessert was fine. We only had a few bites. I'll try it again on another day... But this was nuts. That sandwich was the craziest thing I've ever received as "food" in a restaurant. read more

My friend and I were excited to try a new place in Littleton and decided on Bistro 36. Ok, I decided on Bistro 36 and my friend said yes. We were welcomed upon entering and chose to sit on the patio since it was so nice. Because it recently opened, you can tell there's still kinks to iron out, but I don't mind helping along the way. Our server greeted us and told us what beers were on tap when we asked. We ordered our drinks and perused the menu. My friend ordered the steak frites and I ordered the chicken mushroom fricasśee. My meal was absolutely amazing. My friend's however was cooked at well done when he ordered medium rare. When we brought it up to our server, she apologized profusely and offered to get another steak for my friend. He declined the new steak as he was hungry. The MOD came out and apologized asking my friend if he was sure that he didn't want another steak cooked or anything else on the menu. When my friend declined, the MOD offered to buy him another beer to which my friend accepted. All in all, the staff is very customer oriented and tries to find resolutions to customer difficulties. My wife and dog and I came here early in the afternoon this past Sunday. We were greeted cordially by one of the managers and escorted to one of the dog friendly tables on the south side of the building. The staff brought a bowl of water for our dog without being asked, which is always nice. We each ordered a spicy Bloody Mary, and thought it was very good. We each also ordered the terrific Eggs Benedict, that comes with a delicious Hollandaise sauce with some unusual spices, and really great skillet potatoes. The manager, whose brother is the owner, explained that the name comes from her grandmother, who was born in 1936 in Nice, France, and whose personal recipes inspired the menus at this very nice establishment. My wife and I would have liked to sit on the east side of the patio overlooking the South Platte River rather than looking at the parking lot, but unfortunately only the four tables on the south side are dog friendly. read more

What a delightful treat to have stumbled here! We came because we saw a new place in a wonderful part of town - and wow are we glad that we did! The space is an open, warm and welcome environment that has been spruced up from it's previous life. The owner greeted us and he was charming, delightful and knowledgeable. The service was fantastic, but the centerpiece was surely the food! We enjoyed a salade Lyonaisse, a burger and the chicken mushroom fricasse. Each were wonderfully prepared! The biggest point: the food and drinks were not good especially at the price point that this restaurant is at. We had a charcuterie board, bolognese, scallops, and a couple of cocktails. The bolognese was overcooked and tasted like a beef stroganoff. There was a little flavor and not a lot of meat. The scallops were cooked well, but had zero flavor. The charcuterie board was fine. The cocktails were also very sub-par and had little flavor. The service was also a little slow. I was disappointed because this place seemed to have so much potential- good ambiance and a decent location by the river, but the food, drinks, and service fell short. read more

I love this place!! We have been watching this restaurant transition from the earlier pub to this adorable bistro! We run along the Platte River & had high hopes it would become our newest, favorite place to get an after run drink (spoiler alert - it is!). I met both of the owners, who are so nice & welcoming to everyone who walks in their door. They have a patio that overlooks the river for people who don't have dogs & a separate, just as cute patio for people with dogs, complete with water dishes. Do yourself a favor & go to Bistro36! We used to come here weekly when it was The Pint Room so wanted to come check out the new spot. Walked in, two managers were at a table with heads stuck in laptops, said hello but didn't look up. We sat down at the bar. One other person at the bar top and one 2 top table present at 12:30 on a Friday, otherwise completely empty. About 2 minutes in, bartender walked over and said "hey ladies, how's it goin?" Then disappeared around the other side of the bar for over 10 minutes. No waters, no food menus, nothing. So we walked out! Managers again didn't look up as we walked out. Will not be returning. Trying to look like a classy cocktail bar but having plastic vases with fake flowers on the bar doesn't make that happen. read more

Another great meal at Bistro 36. Thanksgiving dinner was outstanding. First sip of the pumpkin - apple soup was like heaven on earth. I suggested they add it to their dinner menu. These boys know how to cook! You can taste the love, time and care that goes into making their food sing! They know how to coax and marry flavors, which is a form of art when properly executed. Everything is scratch made with high quality ingredients. I also appreciate the emphasis on gluten-free foods that taste great. Outstanding service; great team. Ryan is very funny. Pay careful attention to his calm and quick wit. He's a gem. P.S. - I am a talented and experienced chef, unaffiliated with Bistro 36. My standards are very high. I have been here a handful of times and let me just say, it keeps getting better and better every time! This review is long overdue and I'm so happy to share all my wonderful experiences. To begin, Jake and Mike are the absolute best. They have worked so hard to create such an amazing environment and experience. They are both always so kind and attentive. I love getting to chat with them. Moving on, their staff really adds the cherry on top. Everyone is so friendly and personable, but Mary's kindness and compassion really comes from the heart and soul. Consider yourself lucky if you get the opportunity to have her as your server or even bartender! She's wonderful. Last, but certainly not least is the food and desserts. I am not picky whatsoever so I always end up getting something new. My favorites would certainly have to be the deviled eggs, the blue cheese dip, and the duck and waffles! Yum! Each and every dessert is carefully curated, but the current standouts are the creme brulee and their lemon cake!! I cannot stress enough how much I love this place! We've been to a lot of restaurants but unfortunately this is the worst service we'ce ever had. We know it was busy bc of Mother's Day, however, we were placed at a table in the middle room where we were forgotten about multiple times. We had 3-4 servers and had to request drinks, food and status on our order throughout our time there. Our last waiter was incredibly rude and condescending which really ruined our celebration. We were there for 2 1/2 hours, never received a discount (for forgotten about food) or an apology. Was exited about a new restaurant in the area but will not return or recommend this to our friends/large network throughout the Littleton area. read more

So happy to see a new restaurant pop up in Littleton that's not a major chain! Jake Weber (owner) & the rest of the team tonight were fantastic! Very accommodating, patient, and attentive. Stopped in with some out of town family tonight for dinner, and they made sure we had everything we needed. Some may argue that the prices are high, but the quality and taste is worth so much more. The restaurant itself was very cozy and welcoming, even in these near zero temps. A perfect restaurant for a cozy date night or family get together. I wouldn't say the menu is super kid friendly, but if you like French cuisine it's a must! Also the banana foster and steak tar tar were amazing! Very fresh, and everything was seasoned beautifully. This was a great discovery for us here in Littleton. The menu was very bistro. The food we had was excellent. One of the best Caesar salads ever! French onion soup excellent.
